About Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation
Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation: Inculcating a Caring Culture and Society
Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation (“MHF”) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1996 with the aim of promoting and strengthening a caring culture and society. The foundation was founded by the late Raja Tun Mohar Raja Badiozaman, who served as its Chairman and President until his passing in 2003. Tan Sri Datuk Paduka Dr. Mazlan Ahmad then succeeded him as the Chairman of the Foundation until his passing in 2018.
The Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation has been actively involved in various humanitarian efforts, including disaster relief, education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and community development programs. The foundation's mission is to provide assistance to those who are most vulnerable and marginalized in society.
One of MHF's primary objectives is to promote education among underprivileged children by providing them with access to quality education. The foundation believes that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering individuals to lead better lives. To achieve this goal, MHF has established several educational initiatives such as scholarships for deserving students from low-income families.
In addition to its educational programs, MHF also provides healthcare services for those who cannot afford medical treatment. The foundation works closely with hospitals and clinics across Malaysia to provide free medical check-ups, consultations, medication assistance for chronic illnesses such as diabetes or hypertension.
MHF also focuses on disaster relief efforts during natural disasters such as floods or earthquakes that have affected communities across Malaysia over the years. During these times of crisis when people are most vulnerable, MHF provides emergency aid such as food supplies or temporary shelter for those affected by natural disasters.
The Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation also runs community development programs aimed at improving living conditions for marginalized communities across Malaysia. These initiatives include building homes for families living in poverty-stricken areas or providing clean water supply systems where there are none available.
MHF's work has been recognized both locally and internationally through numerous awards received over the years from organizations such as United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Health Organization (WHO), International Red Cross Society (IRCS) among others.
In conclusion,
The Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation continues its mission today under new leadership but remains committed to promoting a caring culture within society while helping those most vulnerable through their various humanitarian efforts across Malaysia.
