Main Street Theater Review

I brought a group of kids I didn't go inside but it looks like it would be a hard place to get any parking

I attended an all female poetry explosion and MATCH provided an intimate atmosphere for this event.

Went with middle school class. Excellent presentation of Holes by the cast. Great Q&A session afterwards for the students. The facility is clean and well maintained, and the staff was very organized and helpful. There is not much parking available.

Great children's theater at good pricing. They used to allow outside food/drinks which made it way more affordable. Now you have to buy from their stand which is where they're making their money. Also a bit of a bummer that they don't allow children under 3. Having 1 day per show when little ones are allowed would be a HUGE asset.

We have had season tickets for the last 3 years, since my daughter was five. The shows have always been great to watch and the production level is good for kids to watch. This last time we saw Jackie and me and the production level went way up, and the acting was amazing. Well done! I can not recommend this experience enough. Introducing your kids to the arts is important.

My second experience here. Seating and leg room was comfortable. Sounds system from the speakers were clear.
Really enjoyed the show.

Went with my son's school to see a play. They loved it and it was very entertaining. The actors of Alexander and the terrible....day where wonderful!

Parking is non existant in downtown and the pan handlers are everywhere.

Love going to Main Street Theater with my son's school every Christmas. Good and fun productions of some of our favorite stories!

My son attended Main Street Theater. It has been a great school for him expanding his abilities in role playing and also developing both emotionally and intellectually. Kids select their charactes, deveop their script, prepare their costumes and then play. Ms. Brennan has been a great teacher for my son. She is top notch.

Absolutely loved "Jackie and Me!" The place is amazing. Sound quality is phenomenal. Stage is just the right depth. There is no bad seat in the house. Intermission is timed perfectly and they announce over a loud speaker when it's coming to an end. The rows aren't so close where you can't cross your legs. There's a concrete floor for easy cleanups. There is wheelchair seating and the offer separate sensory performances. Will definitely visit again.

Great show. Needs improvements to be handicap accessible. Very ackward seating related to my position and that of my walker. Staff was unsympathetic.

Very nice, cozy theater! We had a wonderful time. The courtyard/breezeway is nice to sit in before the show starts.

The theater is small and intimate. Great for the kids. It was very clean and had mice bathrooms.

Went for a field trip with my granddaughter's class. She is in fourth grade now. Only other time I've been here is when she was in kindergarten. The place looked exactly the same. I know a lot of schools frequent this theater. I really wish they would bump up their presentations so you didn't fall asleep while the play was going. I think it is an awesome concept just need to keep the kids engaged. The most negative thing to me was there was a horrible smell while waiting to enter and be seated. Of course the kids were laughing and cutting up and getting a little unruly because they were teasing about the smell. Other than that it's a nice place

Everything was great...the weather was cold outdoors...was needing a little more heat...and i was on the top levels.

It's a nice little place with movie theater type seating. Friendly atmosphere. It's easy to get to from the major freeways or the metro rail. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the outside of the building and they don't allow photography or recording inside.

Saw a great performance of "Anne Frank." Only drawback is the washrooms are outside the theater.

This area of Main Street doesn't get the publicity it should. The public is missing out on a good thing. Get out and go to the Ensemble Station area on Metro Rail. It has theaters, eateries and other places of interest.

The performance was great. The staff was very organized and everything started and ended right on time.

Took my son to see Frog and Toad. So awesome! Will go back.

Cool place for Kids to be exposed to plays. Love that they can do Q&A afterwards too

Very nicely designed. There's a little concession stand outside which was a LIFESAVER for this poorly planned mom. You can even take it in!

Great place to take children. The whole experience is awesome.

Caribbean mass show by International voice of Houston, small theater and sound quality was good.

A nice venue for a charitable evening, or any other high profile event.

My first time going there and it was amazing. The theater is nice and it's has comfortable seats and any seat in the theater has the perfect view.

Easy parking, wonderful kids programming. We just saw You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and the cast was very friendly after the performance. Good seats were not too expensive. Also loved the showtimes that worked well for young kids.

Lost a jacket and realized how horrible they are with lost and found. Not one of them could get it together... It's a $50 private school jacket that magically disappeared because of their negligence of actually fitting kids in the rooms. Instead they had to switch areas twice and my son got hot. Epic fail place

They do very good theater performances, my delighted kedo daughter!

It is the second time that we got here, the food is very nice and fresh, there is a large choice and you can eat as fast and as much as you like, however it is best to sit at the beginning of the conveyor belt as at the end most of the food traus are empty and you have to seperately order.

I went here with my daughter on a class field trip, and I loved the play about the cows. I especially loved the fact that they had a ASL interpreter and the play was even doing sign language.

Went to see Mr. Poppers penguins. My daughter loved it!

"Fade to Black" Play Festival one of the most moving festivals I have experienced! Congratulations to the Playrights and Actor's on an incredible performance.
