Been a devoted fan since they were a tiny one room place in a strip mall on Delmar in University City.

I visited Mai Lee for dinner and had a great experience. While they were pretty busy, the dining room is large. We ordered the Banh Bao, and the attached pictures show an order of the Bo Xao Xa Ot - Hot Chili Beef, and a Thai Tea. The beef had good flavor, but was a little fatty for my taste. I definitely recommend the Banh Bao if you're looking for an appetizer to share.

Street parking is limited, but there is free garage parking next door.

Varied Vietnamese and Chinese (!) menu. Generally pretty busy, but don't usually need a reservation. Friendly and efficient staff. Great egg rolls and spring rolls, as well as wonton and hot-and-sour soup on the Chinese menu.

Mai Lee is costly, but so is PF Chang! I really enjoy both of them! My point in order to experience good Chinese or Vietnamese food you got to be willing to spend a little money Quality food is worth it

Eating at Mai Lee was overall a pleasant experience. The server and hostess were kind and willing to answer questions about the menu; even when they were rather busy. The Pho Dac Viet was a nice mix of tripe along with what seemed to be other organ meats; one of a spongy sausage like texture and amazing flavor. The tripe could have been cooked longer and more slowly for a far less chewy feel but maybe other people like it that way? It came served with bean sprouts basil,cilantro and two sauces. One sauce a soy base and the other a spicy chili base I find that I enjoy the meatier notes of the broth and that the basil and cilantro, although good in their own respect, wasn't how I liked it, so I fished them out. Will be returning to try. More of their diverse and original menu items!

The food is very good, The staff took over thirty minutes before we were could even order our drinks, once we did order the food came out quick. Thatbwas awesome, the portions are small not enough to get full on. And my opinion a little over priced.

Everything I've had here is delicious, but the vegan menu is especially varied and tasty. If I could decribe the food in two words, I would say vivid flavors.
