My husband and I tried Mahylon's on 8/3/17. The waitresses and door greeter had some of the best customer service that we have ever seen in a restaurant. They also had terribly cooked food and a very rude cook. I ordered chicken fried steak with a loaded baked potato and salad. I thought I was in for a treat, who doesn't love chicken fried steak? The potato had been setting under the warmer so long it was hard and cracked in places, the gravey was the same- it was congealed. The chicken fried steak was a good cut of meat for the price, that had been destroyed. The batter was overly salty and when you cut a piece off the batter came off! I ate one bite of it and a tried a bite of my husband's ribs and we felt like our throats had been coated with old grease. My husband did not eat his ribs, I tried a piece and spit it out it was so bad. It was old and bland. When the cook asked about my plate, he could visually see how old it was. He offered to replace it, but I was already feeling unwell from the food, so I declined his offer. When the cook asked my husband what was wrong with his ribs, he told the cook they were bland. The cook laughed in his face! I looked that man straight in his face and told him that I tried a piece and spit it out! Gross. Asking my mother in law about it, her and all her friends had already quit eating here because this cook has ruined what was a great restaurant!

A go to stop for bbq every time I m in Muskogee. Service was a little slow this time and the brisket was a little dry for my liking but it still tasted great. Still had a down home feel and very friendly staff.

It's a Texas style smoked BBQ type of place. It's really good!

Their BBQ is good but their french fries are Divine! Best i've ever had in my life. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well appointed. Worth a visit. And order the French fries!

The dining room is open, and serving. This would be a Google lie that only carry-out service is available. Oklahoma is OPEN for business! Don't believe Google propaganda.

The food didnt have much taste... good French fries but for the prices definately wasnt worth it. Had better bbq platters at bandanas.

Fish and chips were not very good. Poor quality fish and the fries were stale.

Everyone was so nice....great service and great food!!!

For what reason the bbq wasn t my thing tonight so i had the bacon cheeseburger. It was gud. Not average. Gud. Love the fries.
Limited draft beer selection (blight, shock top)
Ambience was good, looking at the map i thought it was downtown, its not. Its out east of DT.

Let's be honest all BBQ ends up being on the higher side of the price range, but Mahylons has Greasy's and food is just better....

Great food and service. Brisket here was awesome and so we're the fries. Nice interior.

I come for lunch often. The BBQ is great and the variety on the menu gives you a lot more to choose from besides BBQ.
Just because I come for lunch often doesn't mean I haven't been for dinner. The steaks are also great but seem to go overlooked by most.
Owner is very involved and usually greats people at the door.

The food wasn't good and wasn't even warm. I would not recommend this place to eat at

Chopped sirloin was dry but the service was very good and very friendly

Service was okay, food was middle of the road and pricing was OUTRAGEOUS. Small salad, w/ small grilled chicken breast, tea, and half of a dessert...$22 with tip. Robbery.

Asked for a loaded meat Baker received an extra small potato for a retail price of 8.50. Someone call the police, I've been robbed.

As a kid I always remembered the smell of the smokers getting the meat nice a tender. The place is GREAT with amazing food!! one word... BRISKET and DR PEPPER. I would go again and again

Walk in and you're welcomed with a smiling Happy hostess and the smell of smokey charred meat.... I felt as if my testosterone level jumped several points.... CHARRED SMOKEY MEAT....
The salad comes with an ample amount of salad dressing.... Which is good because I flood mine.
Our waitress just filled up my glass of sweet tea.... To that point..... I'd only drank an inch worth out of the glass.... So yeah.... The service is on point.

Great environment, clean, friendly staff, everything tasted great but the chopped brisket.

Our food was served cold after almost an hour of waiting. It tasted like it would have been good if served when it was still warm. The peach cobbler was not good at all. A 2 dollar plate charge for shared meals is absolutely unacceptable. A dining establishment has never cared less about their customers.

Best food in the world with a wide variety of choices I can't eat there enough when I am in town. The restaurant always looks brand new The staff is unbelievable and the owner's a pretty good guy as well.

A $10 tip for 2 steaks some baked potatoes and a small side salad * REALLY! Steaks raw. We ordered med rare. They were so raw and with no flavor. Had to throw it in my owe pan to cook.

The place was friendly and clean. Enjoyed the place very much. Wide variety menu. From Bbq, burger and steaks to salads soups and desserts. Waitress was right on point with service and food was out pretty quick. Shout out to Billy, dig in!!!

Deep Fried Portobello Mushrooms are delicious. If you like dessert try the pecan cobbler!! Great place, clean dining and friendly staff.

I always get great service from this place. Everyone is very nice and if your unsure of what you want they will quickly make suggestions for you.

It was Ok. Wish they had more choices for sides.

the sweet tea and service are good. as for the meat, just ok. i think they over spice their bbq sauce [even the mild] to mask the [blah] taste of it. also tried the pecan cobbler and nope. it's all way overpriced for what it is.

Great place, love the food. But they need green beans. I get tired of okra.

Very much enjoyed our dinner there this evening. VERY attentive server to our needs and very informative as this was our first visit. You can tell good BBQ when you can taste the light smokiness without needing sauce. The sauce was good as well and you can buy take home jars and a BBQ rub as well. I highly recommend if you are local or passing through.

I'm not from the area and found this place on one if my visits to the area. This place is great been there a few time and never had a bad meal. Get the chicken fried steak

It was one of the best places to eat in Muskogee. Try the cobbler!

Not very good BBQ. We were hoping it would be better based off reviews and how nice the building is. BBQ was dry, dry ribs, dry brisket. I like to try new places but I guess we'll stick to Billy Sims and Rib Crib.

Went there twice. Baked potato and salad was great both times. Steak was completely raw all they offered was to keep cooking it again and again. Ribs were cold and dry. All they could do is argue with me and tell me that they weren't.

Best place in Muskogee for barbecue hands down. The menu is also very extensive and has something for everyone even picky people. Dessert here is also great.

$8.25 for a small meat baker potatoe. Unbelievable. Wont do this again

I have been going to this place since 2001, I travel the world extensively for my job and make a point to out of my way to find good food. This place is in the top 5 worldwide for best tasting restaurant ribs!!!

Thank you, Mahylon's, for making 'it' all great again: nice serving sizes, fat is trimmed off meats, baked potatoes aren't soggy & aged, sides' containers are filled up all the way, & fries are crispy!! Don't mind the prices when foods & their sizes are great! Thanks again!

This is a family owned BBQ. The service is great and the food is always perfect. I have been eating there since it opened.

Great atmosphere, awesome barbecue. They have an attached bar that allows smoking.

Some of the best BBQ in the area! People come for miles for one of the first great BBQ restaurants around. Owner/operators are great! Food comes out fast, hot and great.

Came here for a large group party. It was the day after Valentine's and they were out of turkey. Great place for a large group to reserve a private room. Call ahead if you don't eat red meat!

I have been all over the country and everywhere I go people want to share their style of BBQ and I keep thinking one day I just may find one that is better than Mahylon's...although I have come close once or twice...I still haven't had better. Also, their BBQ beans are beyond good...I think they put an addictive chemical in them that makes me crave for it nightly....

Had a friend in town 6/9/2020 and decided to take him and my wife here for dinner. The experience was terrible to say the least. We all agreed the best part of the meal was the fries. Coleslaw was like eating sawdust,pork and turkey was so dry you had to add sauce for moisture to eat it. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Street corner BBQ would be a better option.

Sorry not a fan, i don't get the appeal. Food is fair but insanely overpriced. Friendly owner. Cowboys tastes better and costs nearly half as much

Not my first time here. Whenever I am in Muskogee, I try to to visit. Great barbecue, and terrific desserts!

Great BBQ, got pasta salad as break from fries. Staff is prompt and friendly. Order came quickly and repeated checks on what we needed followed.
