I found it was a lovely little place, it's a shame it's in the middle of no where as I feel it is like a lost little gem. A couple of things I would change is the floor, maybe put some concrete down rather than a muddy trial. And also only let a certain amount of people into the green house at a time as I found it was rather crowded when so many people around and a bit hard to move around and enjoy it when people are walking over your feet. But overall I found it was well worth coming, dogs welcome and warm staff, just those points I made would make it a better place.

That is a great place to visit, the main attraction are the butterfly's which is a magical experience. Unfortunately the area that they are is very humid so be prepared because glasses or camera lenses are going wet there...also the area has a free car park and a coffee shop. Beautiful views and around the lake and the dam.

Not very easy to find. Approached by couple of miles of single track road. Once inside the butterflies are spectacular and close at hand. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They say the best time for butterfly activity is between 10 and 1.

It's not a huge place, we managed to fill an hour, but always worth the visit. Staff are so friendly, will get most inverts out for you to hold. There were a good number of butterflies flying and staff were very knowledgeable. Very good butterfly house, there should be more like this.

Small.... but adequate. Great house with plenty of activity.

Only down sides are that it is small.... and quite expensive for what is a short visit. But then it's a charity... so I'm not complaining.

Beautiful little butterfly sanctuary, the owners really do out there all into this little gem and a visit is highly recommended. Try and read the information posted around inside which teaches so much about the life cycles of these magnificent beings.

A small butterfly conservation charity. Well worth a look to help with their cause. Loads of butterflies flying around inside. You will get landed on multiple times.

Very enjoyable, if not hot few hours hunting for different species. Highly recommended.

Wonderful ! If you suffer from arthritis, the warm humid atmosphere will give you relief from the aches and pains. i have an arthritic spine and was pain free within about five minutes of being in there. The butterflies are awesome too!

We went here on a rainy day. The staff are really lovely and a credit to the place. My son held a millipede and a stick insect as they have a few of these before you go into the butterfly house.

It is just one large room with lots of tropical plants and many butterflies. That said, we went round about three times which was fine.

If you re looking for a place to kill time on a rainy day then this is a good option. But is probably a touch too small to be worth a long journey to visit.

This place is full of information about butterflies and moths. Very reasonable entry fee considering the running costs involved. You can walk around and the butterflies will land on you, take as many photos as you like and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Children welcome too and they love walking around with butterflies on their hands.

Absolute waste of money. Tiny butterfly house where it was impossible to socially distance and the only loo available was a disgusting stinky portaloo which my daughter refused to use. Won't be returning.

A relatively small butterfly house but with a lot of content, butterflies and caterpillars everywhere, in a very pretty setting, in a valley with a steam line on hill side. Excellent for those rainy days.

Brilliant little butterfly house, no its not massive but it's a lovely experience to have the butterflies landing on you; you are even encouraged to gently handle them! Nice little shop with lots of interesting gifts, and there's a few other creepy crawlies to see as well. The lady on the counter was really nice and knowledgeable. In a beautiful setting and a nice little cafe and exhibition next door at the hydro power station. Definitely worth the entrance fee in my opinion, there's a display there explaining how much money it requires to stay open and it really justifies the fee to get in! Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful tiny creatures, going about their business in rainforest conditions in one large room; fascinating. Lots of phone camera pictures, recognised many from the leaflet identifying the butterflies. Social distancing and track and trace, top marks. We were there for over a good hour just seeing then settled in the foliage, or watching them fly.

Then another few minutes picking out fridge magnet, butterfly scarf and looking at a few other tiny souls in their own little world's.

It wasn't exactly where the postcode said, because that was a dead end, but it was on the way towards the postcode and there was a sign, it was next to a little hydro power station visitors centre.

Blissful, and we'd love to visit again next time we holiday in that area. Only about 25 mins from Aberystwyth

A very small but beautiful butterfly house. Once you realise the costs involved of running the exhibit and how sustainable their work is the entrance fee becomes very reasonable. We took a 6 and 9 year old and both enjoyed, although after 45 mins or so they had had enough, I could have stayed far longer just sitting and watching the beautiful butterflies fluttering all around me. The centre on the way in is quite interesting too, great info on sustainable hydro power.

We had a fab morning, as others have said it does look small when you first arrive but it is worth the money. We had the opportunity to spend some quality family time together while looking at and holding moths and butterflies. The staff are very knowledgeable and talk with great enthusiasm about the subject. My 4 and 5 year old were fascinated and we spent almost 2 hours there.

Nice little place to visit with friendly staff. We were given a 40% discount as there weren't as many butterflies as usual. However, we still spent 90 minutes in there looking at the different species. My kids had a great time holding the butterflies on their fingers and letting them land on their heads. The weather outside was foul so it was nice to spend some time in the tropical heat.

Absolutely loved this attraction. From the outside we thought it looked a bit small but they have packed so much into a small space. Admire the upkeep involved to make this place so special- a must see if your nearby.
