Nice brewery, friendly staff. It's a nice stop just off the Burlington bike trail. Switchback Ale was my favorite.
Nice brewery, friendly staff. It's a nice stop just off the Burlington bike trail. Switchback Ale was my favorite.
Favorite brewery in Vermont, hands down. Low-key great place to get the best Beer Brat in your life too! Steamed in switchback ale, and topped with organic local sauerkraut!
If you are either visiting Vermont, or even a local, you owe it to yourself to go check it out!
Can't say enough good things about this place. My wife and I made a point to hit multiple breweries in Burlington and this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. The beer is incredible and you can tell it's high quality ingredients. The staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable not only on their beer but the entire Vermont brewery scene. The atmosphere is chill but fun with nice locals stopping by. Could not have found a better brewery. Absolute must try if you are in the area!
Hands down the best tasting brew in all of Vermont. Their tasting room is amazing. If you have not visited it, you are missing out!
Any Stout is food but add jalapenos and it is great.
Stopped here last fall after bike ride on the Lake Champlain trail. Stopped again after another ride on the trail. Great young staff. Very friendly, enthusiastic. Great beers. Creative brewmaster. Fun to watch their bottling line operation. Will definitely return. Wish they exported their beer.
Good brews, friendly staff, a short walk to Lake Champlain.
Only 2 beers on tap. Very disappointing!!
Understand the no sampling, but no draft beer at the brewery, not really acceptable.
Suggest calling before you come and ask what s on tap.
Good beers! Great selection! Thanks to our host Katie!! AAA service and entertainment ! :)
Had a great time at Switchback tasting some awesome beer!
Great beer, cool place to check out while in Burlington.
Exceptional tap room. Tasty bites, rotating brews, dog friendly, board games and friendly staff. They've come a long way since the 1-brew for bars only days!
Dooley's Porter is awesome. Please make this beer forever.
Disclaimer: Switchback is my favorite beer. But anyway, Fantastic beer selection. Fun (limited)food selection. Outdoor lawn games.
Very nice microbrewery with a nice tasting room, less choice of IPA than in the other micro corner, but still very good beer and a very welcoming staff.
Awesome beer and cool tasting room. There was not a lot of seating, though, considering the amount of people present. Not that I generally have an issue with standing, but I'd expand the seating if that size crowd is consistent at all.
The live band was a nice touch as well!
The Taproom and Tasting room at the factory is a highly recommended stop at this deservedly popular VT brewery.
Great place to take the dog on a rainy afternoon... Oh, and they have great beer! Smoked Saison was my favorite.
Liked Connector IPA the best. Rated it a 3.75 in untapped. Great daily deals on pints on Tuesday-Thursday.
Best beer I have ever had. I need this in CT now!!
Great beer, nice setting, great when the weather is nice to sit outside
Place is beautiful. They don't mess around. Start your tour here and go from there.
This place is great. Excellent beer. Love the Connector IPA
The taproom is a really nice area. Switchback is my go to beer when going out now.
Great brewery with outdoor seating and a good variety of beers.
Great tasting room and beer-a must go to in Burlington.
Big fan of a brewery dog. Good beer, good variety of merch to buy.
Amazing; much better since the addition! Great smoked Marzen!
Good places and nice beers. Lookfkr the schedule of the brewery tour.
Great beer served by wonderful people! Right down the street from oakledge park.
Great taproom, had a fun time with the flight. Bartenders were good guys.
my experience is awful
I live in Masssssssssssss!!!!
Where is my swichback
Fantastic, employee owned brewery! At time I went, they were highlighting four smoked beers on draft. Each were fantastic and similar to some of the Rauchbiers I enjoyed in Bamberg, Germany. Totally worth a visit for the variety.
Switchback is my favorite everyday beer - and their seasonal brown adds a special something when fall rolls around. If you haven't tried it - put down that overpriced heady topper and pick up a Switchback.
Excellent beer and multi-level beer-garden / backyard barbecue setting: OUTSTANDING staff and service!!!
AND doggy friendly!!
ROSCOE heartily endorses this review!!!
Smoked beers were AMAZING!! My fiance and I went during a snow storm and had a blast! I missed it, but I would've loved to have tried either of their exercise classes followed by a flight! Awesome ambiance!
You want a brewery where you feel like you've been a regular the whole time? Switchback is it! Welcoming, fun, delicious! And if you are thinking of REALLY being a regular, join Bubb's Club! Come sit at the bar and be one of the regulars!
Nice employee owned brewery with some nice beers. Worth a visit.
Really good beer. Switchback and Queen City are the best breweries in Burlington. I wish we found Switchback earlier!
Good tour! Tasting room jammed. Smoked beer isn't a choice for me.
Great beer, relaxed atmosphere. I look forward to come here every time I visit Beerlington
Awesome VT Brewery!!!
My Favorite!!
Good beer in a nice location - live bands on Friday night!
Stopped for a quick beer and vegan chili. Yum! Dog friendly. Lots of merchandise.
Some interesting expiremental beers. Plenty of swag available, if you're into that.
Great place to visit. We were up from CT and stopped in Sunday afternoon. Super friendly staff, great beer, good selection at store..terrific all around. The brewery offers a nice lineup of events and activities and they are celebrating thier sweet 16th this Oct. 22nd. If you are ever in Burlingron, this is a must see place to go...also pick up their excellent brews throughout New England...esp. the Flynn's on Fire Smoked offerings. They are 100% emplyee owned and it shows in the high level of quality in all that they do. I highly recommend and will be visiting again!
Quaint taproom with a few tables and a large bar. Nice selection of 8 Switchback beers on tap, bottled beer and other merchandise. Worth a visit for the beer alone. Tours on Saturday. We were there on Tuesday so no tour for us.
Simply the best beer I've had in a long time. I'm a homebrewer and think I know what I'm doing. We had their ale on tap at a Killington hotel and then got a couple of bottles, both were top notch.
Great tap room and swag selection! Fun visit and will be back for sure!
Great brewery with amazing beer, flights, and merch. Highly recommend this place! They serve vegan chilli too!
My favorite Vermont brewery to visit. Great beers and a fun place to enjoy a few of their offerings. Would recommend to anyone who may have been put off by the typically pretentious Vermont brewery scene.
Very good, cute little glasses and tray for beer tasting. I love the service very cooooool
Great beer and cool tap room. Tour is short but good. Great place to hangout.
Awesome space for hanging out, and a great local business to support (employee owned!). We got two flights, played games, and chowed down on free pretzels. Unfortunately we left behind some items right before we left town. When we called back they were extremely helpful and got the items mailed to us the next day!
Great tour! It is really fun to go with friends from out of town.
Perfect place to get a quality beer after an exhausting day of work. Adorable bottles available to go (yay). Also, a delicious selection on draught. i would have preferences to go home with the helles lager, but settled happily on the flagship ale. Yay for complex, low-ABV brews that focus on flavour over hops.
I'm a snob and all I can say WOW! Great beer, knowledgeable staff. A+. Hope the Connector Cask stays on tap! Well Done!
I'm a big fan of this brewery and they were busy. It seemed that many people arrived just before our group -I've never seen so many people in there as last night. The service, however, was great and the staff made it look easy to get everyone served. I was there when the taproom opened, I've been back a few times since and it seems to have improved with age. The decor has shifted slightly, there are many items to buy in the shop next to the taproom open, you get the windows to view the brewing and bottling line. Really great stop. Their beers are good bottled, but so much better on tap.
There were several beer styles to choose from. You can get a bowl of pretzels to munch on or order a hot dog, brat or a bowl of chili. The store has some cool accessories and apparel items. There are bottles of beer to buy. No growlers unfortunately. The staff and service was great.
Best beer in Burlington we tasted! Naturally carbonated and unfiltered. The connector ipa was the standout. Friendly and easy access tasting room. Better beer than "zero gravity" or "magic hat"...i was suprised and impressed. Wish their logo was more standout, but I don't need a tee shirt so no biggy. Check out the world's tallest filing cabinet when you visit. Enjoy!
Nice experience to go check out a few switchback ales at source, but disappointed that there isn't much beyond a few mediocre IPAs on offer. Still, the staff ownership model of Switchback and the local nature of the brew keep people coming back.
World famous and justifiably so. Beer is excellent, and even though they could rest on those laurels, they do not. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, even in these trying times (July 2020)
While they only had two beers to try, they were both tasty. No IPA, which was a nice change of pace.
Really enjoyed this place, even went back second day. Great beer!! Severs are very helpful.
A solid brewery, their export stout recently added to the limited line is very good.
My favorite beer hands down. I wish you guys sold beer in North Carolina!
I enjoyed the visit and had a nice flight with some cool new smoked beers.
Connector IPA is my favorite of all IPAs. Visited the brewery for the first time this week, and had a very pleasant experience. Worth the trip.
Welcoming vibe, bright and interesting building and decor. Friendly staff. Taster contained very drinkable beers. Beers were subtle and enjoyable. Lots of games and outdoor space. Many charitable programs and dog friendly. Great attention to details.
Switchback is a staple of VT and of the beer world. You honestly can't go wrong with the classic switchback ale, but I also would recommend the XPA. the space is also good and solid merch selection.
Switchback has a great laid-back atmosphere with plenty of fun games to play with others. They also have lots of goings on including live music, LOTS of swag and fun events like sip and stretch yoga, Alzheimer's runs, dog costume contests. The beer's pretty great too!
Excellent beer and very friendly staff. New tap room is gorgeous!
