I have been training with Capoeira Maculele for about 18 years. What keeps me coming back is the endless learning process that Capoeira has to offer. Its a martial art like NO other! Capoeira combines aspects of martial arts, self defense(kicks/escapes) music and dance... where else can you get all of that in ONE class ALL year around?! Every class is always amazing, whether we are learning high intensity kicks, escapes and/ acrobatics (flips) or learning a new song, a new dance, or a new instrument.. Everyday I walk into the academy feeling as if i am walking into my second home. Our teachers, known in the Capoeira world as Mestre Fran and Mestra Sara are dedicated to helping students reach their goals. They consistently gives feedback and pushes you to be better! With classes 6 days a week for both adults, teens and kids there's a class for EVERYBODY and EVERY LEVEL :) Students are there to motivate each other during training! Parents, friends and the public can also come watch the classes from the lounge area. If you are for a fun and interactive way to learn something new... Capoeira Maculele Decatur is where you NEED to be!!

Mestre Fran is an amazing teacher and human being. He and his family put so much love and skill into their teaching that it is an inspiration to learn from them!

Best capoeira academy in Atlanta! Instructors are passionate, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Go to this academy if you ever want to try capoeira I m sure you will fall in love as I did.

I love the community and the teachers! I have nothing but great things to say about it! I have fallen in love with capoeira and the teachers. I had never tried capoeira before coming here and they were very patient and helped me learn. You don t feel like a stranger when you walk in, it actually felt like I walked into a family.
