Machins Solicitors LLP Reviews

The sellers of the property we're trying to buy are using Machins, and it's taking a long time. Every time I enquire as to why our transaction isn't progressing as expected, it always comes back "We're waiting for Machins", or "Machins haven't responded".
The estate agent for our sale tells me Machins haven't responded to a single call or email - not even a courtesy reply - and that's how they treat the professionals!
Machins are potentially sabotaging the whole chain by their disinterest and inaction, as we are simply not prepared to put up with this indefinitely.

Mark Pelopida is a phenomenal corporate lawyer, amongst the very best I have worked with. His attention to detail is faultless and he never drops the ball with regard to timescales or client satisfaction. I would highly recommend him. One in a million.

Poor service. Had to pay full price consultation that lasted 5 minutes when I could have gathered the advice given via the internet. Multiple spelling mistakes made in the letter I received. Would give no stars if possible.

My opinion is very similar to Chris W. I'm not going to mention any names however the Solicitor who is dealing with the sales of new build we find that the response is extremely slow. I'm part of a chain so any delays could cause issues with my buyer pulling out. It seems to me emails and phone calls are ignored, and he will get back on his own time. This opinion comes from the estate agent, my solicitor, previous buyers along with the developer.

We really like Holly's style :) She has responded very quickly to our requests. We have been impressed with how proactive she has been. Her Innovative approach meant she quickly discovered some information which has been really useful to our case. Really importantly, she has been very mindful of our costs (unlike another firm previously used) and we feel that we have had good value for money. It looks like we will continue to need her skills for a bit longer and feel confident that her tenacious approach will help get us where we need to be. Secretary Emma has also been very helpful and extremely professional. Based on our experience so far, we can certainly recommend Holly, who from our experience is a good example of Machins' approach to their clients.

A truly brilliant firm of proactive solicitors offering a personal service. I use them, even though I live in Milton Keynes and they are based in Luton.
Both Nigel Gibson-Birch and Eugene Pritchard and their assistants have provided an excellent service (better than the service I have received from about 7 different firms of solicitors in Milton Keynes).
Nigel for help and advice with a trust and power of attorney and the sale of a house in London, partly held in trust, and Eugene for conveyancing.
Both solicitors really know their areas of law and give excellent advice as well as responding very promptly to emails and telephone calls.
Suzanne (Eugene's assistant) even emailed me to let me know they had received a faster payment, before I had finished typing the email to let them know I had sent it!
I am happy to pay a little bit more for such service, but it is only a little bit more.

Charge money to just to say speak to original solicitors for meaning on a will as we do not use the same language. complete cop out and unhelpful.
