Room we were given already had someone in it the bar ran out of beer and the one they had left didn't taste rite breakfast was cold paid for a king size bed but were told they were all the same size (why give people the option)lots of people were complaining. I don't think they were really ready for the amount of people
Great location with parking, close to the town. Set in the heart of Stratford-upon-avon, a 2 minute walk from the town center on the river.
The food was 5 star, wonderful service and beautiful food.
The rooms and atmosphere seem a little dated and could do with some touching up.
The attached spa is quite small, however hosts a sauna, steam room and swimming pool, unfortunately no jacuzzi.
A welcome stay if visiting the area.
Do not, I repeat, do not go by the photos on the hotels Web page. These do not represent what you get in real life. Very poor furnishings and decor. Very run down. We got our money back and booked into the Crown plaza 2 minutes away. That's what a hotel should look like. Feel sorry for all the foreigners staying here thinking this represents England. Avoid. 3 * at best and that's pushing it.
Great location for exploring around Stratford, rooms could do with a bit of rejuvenation
Room was very tired, badly in need of refurbishment. Bed was comfortable. Service at breakfast poor. Table far too small for 4 people. Tea was dreadful. Had to ask twice for juice and then only got two juices. Toast was provided eventually after breakfast had been eaten and was burnt. Actual breakfast was OK but very small and missing items.

All were very well maintained and kept.
Hotel has lots of character which makes your stay even more special.
Definitely would go back in the summer or better weather to further explore the hotel more

Said it was clean, I found dead insects on top of the tile beading in dust. Staff need better training and the hotel is not worth its 4star rating. I would not award it a 2.
Unfortunately it wasn't what we thought it was going to be, the website needs updating, the rooms are very standard, again not what we were expecting. The food was very basic so as a rusult of this we decided to leave a day early. However Oliver was very helpful indeed.
Spent a week here to use as touring base.... Dinner bed and breakfast. Due to Covid there was a restricted menu but the food both evening and morning was to a high standard. The staff were excellent and were well versed in Covid precautions. The bed was comfortable. As mentioned by others the decor is a little tired but it all worked. A very good stay.
