Took over as the provider for my company. Wanted to see someone I had seen in the past, who I know still works at the same place. Was told that they weren't taking new appointments. Told them I'd seen them in the past, and was told that any appointment "before" Lyra took over doesn't count. So apparently, every appointment now is a new appointment, and all of the providers aren't taking new appointments. Asked, out of curiosity, what the closest available bookable person was, and found out they are in the state of Washington, a mere ~850 miles away.

What a garbage company.

Bad experience. I had so many technical issues, including not being able to login or unsubscribe from their endless emails, they told me to file tickets for the 10 different issues I had. It's also hard to find a POC therapist and the one I tried used our entire first hour to just ask me about insurance, etc. It was a waste of an hour.

Several issues with "Lyra"

Several issues with "Lyra"

Experts would agree that psychological issues are not mutually exclusive. The last system my company used allowed for multiple "reasons" for your visit. However, Lyra shockingly doesn't.

Not only that, but Lyra has advertised Therapists on my company campus, and there has been no availability for nearing 3 months.

Here's an email with bad news from Lyra today:

Absolutely not impressed by this experience. This company's offering might seem attractive but I haven't been able to use any benefits.

I'm in contact with my company's benefits department to try to "fix Lyra". This is embarrassing. What a fantastic waste of my time.

Lyra Health is great! I was hesitant at first because I did not feel the therapists that were recommended to me fit me and my needs. I emailed the LyraHealth care team and Christina gave me specific recommendations with links to their, "about me" section on their website. Now, I have found the perfect fit! Thank you Lyra Health!

Lyra claims to do their best to work with your current provider, but from what I can see, they made a minimal effort to do so. I put a lot of time into finding my therapist, including doing research to ensure evidenced based practices. After a 30 minute call in which she apparently did not give them all the buzz words they needed, Lyra denied covering my current therapist. So, all in all pretty useless service.

The saying, "nothing is free and you are the product" certainly holds with Lyra Health. If you are like me and want your mental health care to be confidential and your mental health outcomes not communicated to your employer or capitalized for insights to customers, don't use Lyra. Lyra engages in a wide range of deceptive practices. After each therapy session, they ask you to fill out measures that track your mood, anxiety, functioning etc. Lyra writes in the email, "your responses are confidential and are not shared with your employer." However, if you actually read their privacy policy, their customers are your employers and they do share your data for insight and analytics:

" Lyra uses outcomes data to provide our customers with insight into how their employees are coping better with stressors, functioning at a higher level"

How can they state that they absolutely don't share your information with your employer? The lack of transparency and accountability with mental health data is alarming.

Tried it because my company works with Lyra Health...

Tried it because my company works with Lyra Health, their coach is really unprofessional and not useful at all. The whole conversation feels like they are waiting for you to have "textbook" type emotions or thinking traps. When what I said didn't fit what she's looking for, she was impatient, didn't really listen, and made fun of my questions more than once. Really caused more problems than they solve, I'm very disappointed.
Note that this comment is for the general coaching service they provide, not the professional on-site psychologists or psychiatrists since I didn't work with those.
