This was the first time I've been to a presidential library, and it was such an amazing experience. They did such a great job showing the accomplishments of LBJ and made it a fun learning experience along the way. The library also had a Motown event which had clips, fashion, and activities from the era. Highly recommend checking out the LBJ library!

Architecture of the building is amazing. Inside has a great atmosphere, as it is a large open atrium at one point. My favorite idea of the museum is that it relates bills signed into law into how they affect current everyday life. They could provide more detail, but it is something I've not seen in other Presidential museums. The oval office is neat, and NASA is a personal favorite of mine, so it was awesome seeing a moon rock, and learning that LBJ sponsored the legislation in the Senate and President Eisenhower signed the law creating NASA. This is one of the better Presidential museums!

I love visiting presidential libraries! Located on the UT campus, the museum is very well done, lots to see and it a great way to spend the day learning while visiting the Austin area. Very educational!

This is, of course, a love affair with LBJ, but there was a lot to love. A truly great man, and this is an homage to him.
But even if you don't like LBJ, the historical artifacts are mind-boggling.

So many original documents and items, that it is really an education. Like many museums, if you really want to read everything, it would take you an entire day. But you really want to budget between 2 and 3 hours. It closes at 5 p.m. and they chase you out of there right at 5. We got there at 4 and didn't really get a chance to explore the top floor at all. We just had an opportunity to run through it. That floor is devoted to their life in the White House.

You will especially enjoy it if you lived during this era, as it brings back so many memories. It is really beautifully done, and a must-see for a stay in Austin.

Located on the University of Texas at Austin campus, the LBJ Presidential Library is an educational and visually interesting experience showcasing the life and times of Lyndon B. and Lady Bird Johnson. The features and exhibitions include interactive elements with historical and cultural artifacts including White House telephone conversations and legislation from the 1960's era. Also, Lady Bird Johnson's environmental efforts.

Ample and accessible parking is very near the LBJ Library campus entrance.

On the outside an austere and somewhat forbidding structure, on the inside polished, grandiose, informative and here and there even playful. Indeed maybe a bit like LBJ himself. Popular items are the animatronic recreation of a humorous LBJ, the presidential limousine, the replica of the Oval Office in his days, and of course the exhibition about his wife, responsible for the many flowers along Texas' highways. Overall very much worth while of your visit, even for a non-American.

Summary: Fun and educational. The staff is great..Parking is limited later in the afternoon.

Details: this is my first presidential library and I have to say that as a history buff, I could have spent all day here. Exhibits are very neatly organized and easy to understand. The building itself is great architecture.
We took our 17 mo old and the place is stroller friendly though the little guy was tired of it after about an hour.

I love the Library dedicated to the works and legacy of Former US President LBJ. I love it very much the way, the honor and respect given to the legacy of Former President. I came to know more about former President, his family, his works and the great legacy he leave back to United States
