Living in its past glory. It use to be the epicenter of healthcare in Lagos but years of neglect has left this hospital crying for attention. The environment is dirty and the healthcare workers lack any pint of humanity.

They will just refer you to their own personal private hospitals for scan, x-rays and all. I think it's just wickedness. My daughter needed to sort out her teeth and we where refered again to their own private dental Hospital for scan and x-rays ..
. My question is so a whole University teaching Hospital doesn't have these machines? That's not true, when we got to this private hospital we found out it belonged to the dentist that was attending to my daughter. They charged us an extra 25k just for those scan, and still said that's not all, we went back to the teaching Hospital again and they said pay for washing and flossing again, which we already did just few weeks prior. It's just a mad house, just go to a private clinic and don't bother going here. You end up spending more. Nonsense

*Poor management
*Outdated and obsolete facilities
*Celebrated as a top hospital but by my rating, it's one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to in my life. There are better public hospitals out there. Within it is the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Many hospitals most times refer patients here for advanced treatment. However, the facilities are not encouraging, outdated and some technologies obsolete. Most of the staff are VERY RUDE especially the so-called nurses. They should go for training on how to properly attend to patients or first time visitors.

I have seen better animal home. Shame on Nigerian politicians and the business juggernauts. They are all looters of the economy and cancer to Nigeria progress. We have nothing to show for over 60 years of Independence vast oil wealth. No care and provision for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians. LUTH is now a national disgrace; in its glory days, the hospital was the centre of excellent of tropical medicine. Now, it is a hospital only in name. The minimum star for feedback is one; in my opinion this medical slum is not worthy of existence let alone one star.

Place of horror. Doctors I went to see don't come in on time, most admin staff are rude even to outright ignoring a question being asked, building beyond dilapidated. Only thing it has going is that it's super cheap. But I'll prefer they charge a little more and give better service. Maybe staff are overwhelmed.

The hospital is running down! Severally I've heard cases of untimely deaths linked to this hospital and the government seems to be least concerned! It is a total failure of governance. If you can, go elsewhere for treatment
