Nigeria is `god county. Food. Such a good country so i leave this five 5 star review so say that Nigeria greatest county in Africa.
Special cases are treated here if there's a bed space else just look for a private hospital.
Living in its past glory. It use to be the epicenter of healthcare in Lagos but years of neglect has left this hospital crying for attention. The environment is dirty and the healthcare workers lack any pint of humanity.
Situtated in the central city of Lagos. it is acclaimed to be one of the most equiped medical center in Africa. They are best at anatomy and. Currently, Harvard and Northwestern collaborate with LUTH on capacity building through the Building Research and Innovation in Nigeria s Science (BRAINS) proposal. This project extends a decade of research and collaboration in the areas of HIV outcomes research, community medicine, genomics of infectious disease, and innovation in biomedical engineering that have resulted in over 74 joint publications.
LUTH offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Physiotherapy, Pharmacology, Physiology, Nursing, Radiography and Laboratory Technology as well as Medicine and Dentistry
A very good hospital, all the doctors and workers are wonderful.
Good hospital environment. Highly qualified doctors and Nurses in all fields of medicine.
A new state of the art cancer centre
They will just refer you to their own personal private hospitals for scan, x-rays and all. I think it's just wickedness. My daughter needed to sort out her teeth and we where refered again to their own private dental Hospital for scan and x-rays ..
. My question is so a whole University teaching Hospital doesn't have these machines? That's not true, when we got to this private hospital we found out it belonged to the dentist that was attending to my daughter. They charged us an extra 25k just for those scan, and still said that's not all, we went back to the teaching Hospital again and they said pay for washing and flossing again, which we already did just few weeks prior. It's just a mad house, just go to a private clinic and don't bother going here. You end up spending more. Nonsense
*VERY RUDE Staff
*Poor facilities
*Poor management
*Outdated and obsolete facilities
*Celebrated as a top hospital but by my rating, it's one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to in my life. There are better public hospitals out there. Within it is the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Many hospitals most times refer patients here for advanced treatment. However, the facilities are not encouraging, outdated and some technologies obsolete. Most of the staff are VERY RUDE especially the so-called nurses. They should go for training on how to properly attend to patients or first time visitors.
I have seen better animal home. Shame on Nigerian politicians and the business juggernauts. They are all looters of the economy and cancer to Nigeria progress. We have nothing to show for over 60 years of Independence vast oil wealth. No care and provision for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians. LUTH is now a national disgrace; in its glory days, the hospital was the centre of excellent of tropical medicine. Now, it is a hospital only in name. The minimum star for feedback is one; in my opinion this medical slum is not worthy of existence let alone one star.
Place of horror. Doctors I went to see don't come in on time, most admin staff are rude even to outright ignoring a question being asked, building beyond dilapidated. Only thing it has going is that it's super cheap. But I'll prefer they charge a little more and give better service. Maybe staff are overwhelmed.
Rude staffs, unorganised staffs, poor communication manner.....you hardly see doctor even after paying consultation fee though the fee is valid till next visit...
Good institutional environment but a good alternative route from mainland through the island on a traffic congested day
It is a world class hospital, and one of the best teaching hospitals in Nigeria.
offers a very good pharmacy program . Definitely the best medical school in Lagos
The hospital is running down! Severally I've heard cases of untimely deaths linked to this hospital and the government seems to be least concerned! It is a total failure of governance. If you can, go elsewhere for treatment
One of the tertiary medical hospitals in Nigeria, not without its own fair troubles but it has done well with the resources available to it.
On my Last visit, I saw some wards without any electricity.
Great hospital providing efficient healthcare services for decades
It is an excellent hospital. Very high probability of dying. The doctors are all doctors. Very well
Best hospital in Nigeria with the Best Human resource
Good hospital. Large assembly of professional medical practitioners ready to attend to various medical issues. Aging facilities that are gradually being replaced.
Saw it while driving thru it looks big and nice on d outside...
