Good place to eat outdoors. Tasty dishes with vegetarian options.

When they say spirit forward they aren't kidding. Fun cocktails.

We went here as Novo was full, and we're glad we did. Friendly service, extensive and tasty drink menu and delicious food. Sitting outside with a patio heater and strings of lights gave it a lovely atmosphere. We'd go again.

I was satisfied with the lower price than I thought.

Paella was excellent. De La Luna. As good as it was in Spain.

We ordered the steak and honestly the grayest,unflavorful colorored steak. For the money we spent here not worth it.Would like our money back.Going to order a 2nd dinner.

I had lunch on a Tuesday and shared 10 tacos for $15. It was half price taco Tuesday. 10 tacos was plenty for the 3 of us. The server was really gracious and did a great job. The tacos had a lot of meat on them. They have a large variety of tacos. We tried the shrimp, al pastor, beef short rib, lamb and chicken. Everything except for the chicken was great. The chicken wasn't bad, just okay. I was seriously amazed by the price for the quality. The tacos had meat, onion and cilantro. Salsa and sauces on the side.
On a separate note, the bathroom has really nice lighting and the paper towels were thick.

Staff was unappreciative and dismissive. Not a warm family spot, food was perfectly average.

Tried this place already with my friend and I am hooked since then. I like the good vibes and delightful food and beverages. Keep it up.

Definitely a great Tapas and drink venue in beautiful downtown San Luis Obispo...go between 3p and 6p for the Tapas specials and drinks, sit on the patio. Don't miss the olive bread with rosemary garlic chili aioli.

Great location, great atmosphere. Menu options limited and the food was so so. Paella texture was soft, very crunchy rice and not soft enough.

It was ok. Taco needed more seasoning. Too blend. Paella - ingredients were good but overall dish execution was disappointing.

A few good beers and some nice cocktails. Friendly staff that are knowledgeable about drinks. Nice outside seating.

Great location downtown. Tuesday has solid taco and happy hour specials. Hostess was very friendly, but found the servers (1 guy , 1 girl) to be a bit rude / smug on two different occasions. Not usually something that happens to me..

Paella was really good. (Chicken and chorizo). I had roasted olives which were ok.

Staying at the Madonna inn and was told to wander around downtown, decided to eat here and I was pleasantly surprised! Drinks were creative and great, and the chicken and chorizo paella was fantastic! What a gem this place is

My husband had the Tequila Verde and it burned so good! The Bartender/waiter suggested we add avocado to the chicken tostadas. Man were those good!! We also tried the bacon wrapped dates and ate those quickly. Great place to stop for a snack! Love the patio bar!

Walked up for brunch, and everyone was very impressed by our breakfasts. The short rib hash was amazing! Lots of outdoor seating, and we had the luck of great weather to enjoy. Prices were a little high, but overall well worth it.

My wife and I just stumbled into this place. Frustrated by the other options for dining yesterday. Great place awesome food and drink killer staff and a nice selection in their grocery area. Give them a look - great place that deserves a visit. And considering they opened this May they can t fail !

The hostess was super sweet and the food and drinks were great but NONE of the waiters would give our table a second look. We were there for almost 2 hours and only able to get appetizers and a round of drinks.

Very different menu and a large wine list. Wouldn't bring children there.

This place has pluses and minuses. The chicken and sausage paella is delicious. I've found the seafood paella to not be as tasty as the chicken and the brussel sprouts don't seem very special to me so I definitely think you have some hits and misses on the menu. They have some custom beverages including non alcoholic. I want to explore more of them but I'm hooked on the blueberry bourbon smash these days. The servers and bartenders are great. They have been making some negative changes to their happy hour specials, that have forced me to lower and revise my review.

A staple for weekend Brunch! I go almost everytime I'm in town on a Weekend!

We recently had a company outing at Luna Red and it was outstanding. The server was courteous and "on it" with the suggestions and daily specials. She took great care of us and made us feel well cared for. The food was delicious and beautiful. The weather was one of those perfect days in SLO and being on the patio made for a peak experience. I highly recommend Luna Red. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful experience to SLO.

It was a fun place to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian paella - it was a very enjoyable dish. The cocktails were nice but took quite a while to get our order filled. I would have no problems eating here again but I won't seek it out.

Good drinks at a pretty high price, but great atmosphere and decor.

Friendly staff, I believe the waiters did their best effort, but the food was not what I expected. Every order had one small thing wrong and way overpriced. Very inviting on the outside but inside plain. Don't think I'll be back.

Delicious!!! We got the todo cheese and meat plate and the fingerling potatoes. Everything was amazing. It is pricy though so don t go on an empty stomach or you re going to be paying 75-100$ to get full.

First time I came here to Luna Red on my birthday March 2018, I have been coming back ever since. Absolutely love this restaurant food is totally amazing and their Fire Pit Punch just yummy. $6 happy hours from open until 6 pm, I think everyday but I come here on Sundays.

Went for happy hour and was met with amazing service, delicious food, and fun atmosphere! We didn t wait more than 5-10 minutes for our food (and we ordered a lot!), everything came out hot, fresh and wonderful. I would highly recommend the experience.

I'm a little meh on this place. Food is alright, definitely small portions though. Dessert is pretty bad, whatever we got, some cookie ice cream thing. Service is good though, and it's snazzy and clean. We were a table of 12 though and asked to split the check 3 ways and the server looked a little angry. If you're looking to class it up, it's a nice place, but if you're looking to eat well and be full, you're probably better off down the road.

Have only had the appetizers,but they were banging,creative &tasty,casual or dressed up, atmosphere is completely chill,outside at night is gorgeous.

Great Alpastor tacos. Burger was good, but a little pricey.

The other weekend we decided to go to Luna red for our friends birthday . We had about 16 people with us. The staff did a good job and accommodating are seating on high top tables the one thing that was really weird is that they wouldn't they wouldn't split up the check. They only could do one for Beverages and one for food they wouldn't do individual tap

Great atmosphere, decent prices and the food is all local and organic. Plus the menu changes with the seasons so always something new

Outside area is fantastic. Bacon wrapped dates were incredible. The menu is a bit pretentious. The scallops included 3 very small scallops. I mean, come on. Skirt steak and pork dish with masa were very good.

We are world travelers and enjoy visit unique places, we were in town to visit the mission directly across Luna Red. We waited for a table and took the waiter s recommendation for ceviche and black ink squid paella... we were astonished at how great both dishes were. The ceviche was superb with its ingredients and the sauce... magnificent! For the paella... it was better than we ve had in Spain itself!!! This is a gem which we will continue to visit, thank you for the great service and truly exceptional food!!!
