The wife and I adopted an amazing fur baby from the humane society and have been using their vet services ever since. Such caring and loving ladies and staff that work here and they takes your pets needs to heart. We love these people cause they have always treated us like a part of their family and take amazing care of our babies when they get sick, into mischief or just need their shots. Highly recommend to everyone to bring their pets here

Little traverse humane society is a no kill shelter.im waiting for my son's animals to get UpTo date on vaccinations then I can adopt a kitty. Thank you all for your loving care of these animals.i love you Ms Honey.

Pretty friendly people for the most part. All the animals info sheets are different, and some of the info is missing. Overall, not a bad experience

Really fair prices for the work they do. You're in and out quick, too! They take very good care of your pets while they're grooming your little furry friends! Their phone answering and replying isn't half bad during this Covid nonsense, as well. It's nice to know I can get my dog cleaned and his nails clipped by a staff that is prepared and well-equipped! Thanks for all that you do!

Well maintained building and grounds, good support staff/ volunteers, clean facility and animals well taken care of.

Firstly, this place is a no-kill shelter. And I mean, they got loads of cats and dogs, puppies and kittens so it's great. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. This humane society is always very clean and very caring to the animals, letting a decent amount of animals roam around the facility with the staff even. I actually adopted my dog Cassie from here years ago. Every time I came back in to "check out potential dogs to adopt" (I actually just went in to see the animals, not to actually potentially adopt...) they remembered Cassie and asked how she was doing with what seemed like genuine interest. She was the best dog I've ever had the pleasure to meet and this wonderful humane society helped bring her into my life to teach me some very valuable lessons about life.
If you want an animal, get one from here. They might not be purebreds but they're the nicest animals most of the time. My sister has also gotten 3 cats from this humane society and they are most definitely in my list of Top 5 cats.

Very helpful in grading if a pet is for your family 2 of my Texas rescues came from them and they were a perfect fit for my family. Love my fur babies this pic is in my work shop. They all love each other with their differences. Lol

Clean, well organized, and loving staff in the facility. I walked away with this little beauty and my life has pretty much been made complete. :)

The place is very clean, and there is no pressure to adopt when you are there

My daughter and I volunteer here as much as we can. We walk dogs and play with the cats and kittens. So much love.

I fostered a cat for another, Little traverse Bay took care of the shots and neutering at the right price so I can re-home it to the right family.

Very professional and friendly, everyone knows their job and does it well. Staff is knowledgeable in animal care, kind and empathetic. Building is clean and appropriately laid out and animals are visibly well taken care of.

It is a great place to adopt a pet. Although if you have to give up a pet be sure to call them about your pet and do not try to drop a pet off like I did or tried. Apparently drop off shelters in the area, maybe there is one in Traverse City, but the ones in harbor springs, Boyne city, and charleviox are not drop off shelters

They care very much for the animals here.....beautiful living caring place :)

Fun to just visit with the animals even if you aren't there to adopt

Hello I'm working at the bay harbor yacht club and when we walked to the end of a pair we found a goose tangled in cable and fish line so we got him free but his wing looked hurt and he swam to shore and he was walking fine so we walk to where he got on land and there there was blood on the side walk

They truly care about making sure that the animals find a loving forever home. There are many great people working to make life better for animals. The adoption fee is well worth it. You get a lot of "free" perks including obedience training for you & your puppy, & food.

I liked this place but i am very dissapointed that you didn't accept a stray that was in dire need when all the times I've been there before, you advertise that you save strays. Seems like a bunch of propaganda.

Passionate people. They knew everything about the puppies to adopt. They even offer training.

Helpful staff when I had a sick kitty and no vets were taking new patients

We have adopted from LTBHS a couple times and also use their boarding and grooming services. They are simply amazing. They take great care of our dogs and even know their quirks. When we bring them in they know them by name. We highly recommend them. Proceeds from boarding and grooming helps their adoption mission. They are a no-kill shelter and offer a safe haven to animals.

My wife and I were looking for a long time to adopt a dog for our family. We went here and looked at their pets that they had and they fit us with the most beautiful dog ever. Our dog is so super sweet and amazing with my children and totally smart. Our dog was a transport dog from Texas.

Fantastic staff. These people really care about what they are doing, and it shows. It's a fantastic place to pick up a new furry companion. Very happy with our "fur family"

We are lucky to have a facility like this in the area for our furry friends.

The staff is great and the facility is very clean. We have adopted from and boarded our pups here and have not had a negative experience yet.

The doggie daycare program at LTBHS is excellent. My dog is generally fearful and shy (was a rescue) and they did a great job acclimating him to this new experience. He goes regularly now and clearly LOVES all of the staff, comes home tired, and is generally more comfortable with other dogs for having playtime with other pups. Thank you so much to everyone who makes this happen!

So sad they lock you away from the dogs. They just want love and yet they are locked up like prisoners. At least you can go see the cats but that doesn't make up for the way they treat the dogs. Also the forced sign in is annoying.

Easy adoption. Still having fun with our girls a few years later.

Veterinarian was very kind and knowledgeable and gave me a better option, one that I was totally unaware of, rather than putting my dog down. Very kind and compassionate.

People were very friendly and professional, I adopted a wonderful sidekick to our family, Fraya

We got our two cats from here! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is very clean and inviting.

One of, if not the best run humane societies in Northern Michogan...pet are treated great and most are well prepared to become your new family member prior to being put up for adoption. Additionally they have boarding and grooming available in another part of their facility as well as a new veterinarian office on the property for care after your adoption. First class organization run by people we really care!

The people are wonderful and work with you to make sure you get what you need. They treat my dog well when he is in the kennel and matches him with dogs he gets along with to play.

The cleanest humane society you will ever visit with a hard-working, dedicated staff that loves the animals in their care.

Super wonderful staff! No kill shelter and privately funded. Very nice facility. I had an emergency situation and they were able to take my puppy and place it in a great home. Thx and God bless you guys for that! Will definitely use their services again if need be or find a rescue.

What's not to love? Cleanest shelter I've ever visited. Unfortunately, no dog for us on this trip.

I had to board my pup while staying in the area. Was actually thinking of canceling the trip because I was worried about leaving my dog. Likely if I am Little Traverse Bay Humane Society dog boarding. They did amazing job and didn t even mind me calling )more than once) to check on my dog. The update stories were fantastic and I was really able to enjoy the vacation a lot more knowing how happy my dog was!!

Renee and Danielle go above and beyond to make the dogs feel comfortable and loved It's always a pleasure and my fur baby can't wait to get there and play
