I will start by saying, the company of LSI seems to function smoothly, the board of directors and the HR team really seem to want to keep everyone in the loop as much as possible and seems to want to keep everyone happy. HOWEVER, we all know that doesn t necessarily mean they can keep eyes on every little thing.

The problem with LSI lies with the management in the manufacturing and production hangars, specifically the Apache management. It seemed to me that that managers didn t actually have any personnel or project management experience. They try to overwork you, and talk to their employees like peasants. I was actually told that I have great potential for promotion, BUT the only way I was going to move up was if I worked overtime. They don t promote off of actual knowledge of your job. They promote off of who they can take advantage of the most. It also seems like to move up in manufacturing and production, you have to be apart of the clique. There is no shortage of favoritism in the company.

The company has no actual skills requirement so most of the people there have absolutely no clue what they re doing, so you re constantly stuck going behind them to correct mistakes. Then when you bring these issues to managements attention, it goes in one here and out the other because they are too afraid to correct someone s actions.

When I first accepted the position with LSI, I was excited and hopeful, with intentions of staying as long as I could. However, the work environment is just awful. Hopefully the higher ups begin to see that the main cause of turnover in manufacturing and production is due to poor management.

I gave up a very rare chance at a very good job opportunity. Doing something I liked very much, and know very well, to accept a project planner position ($60-65k start) at LSI. Art Porche knew very well, that I had no military production project planning experience at all. He assured me that I would be trained and given everything needed to learn and excell. Was given NOTHING. Just railroaded to fail. Why? Day 31, no prior indication, or any kind of warning, FIRED. I did not meet 30 day evaluation?
Allegedly, my performance was "below what was expected." Um, why? What happened to ANY training I constantly begged for, only ignored and told "Rome wasn't built in a day!" Plus, the other new planner (who started a week or two before me, who received 1000 x more help than me) was given all the help he asked for and then some. But, when I asked, I was constantly ignored. I was never given any warning, nothing. And, what happened to the 90day? I never heard of a 30 day evaluation/termination with no prior warning no less! Plus, I asked what can I do to greatly accelerate my learning, because sitting there doing nothing, most of the time, was not working for me, and I needed to WORK! "Oh, don't worry, everything is fine, baby bird." What is that?! If you are a native Floridian (ideal if you're from Jacksonville), from a ship yard, chew tobacco loving/spitting, like to hunt any animal/life (just to kill, or for target practice, is murder, to me), drive a pickup (junk Ford is most ideal), say you love heavy women, smoke pot, have an IQ less than 100, lie a lot and get promoted to engineering, you may just fit in. If you sense you are being separatedt? Start looking for another job, immediately. Beware of Jon Lenn! The biggest .... I have ever had the displeasure working with. No less, not trained by him at all. One major back stabber, who just talks bad about everyone. New hires, my advice? Keep your head low and your mouth shut! You love everything they all do, and willing to hang out with southern mud'n nerds, who think they are cool. Also, when you are asked anything, especially not work related? Asked anything you just DO NOT need to disclose? Zip it! No opinions! Asked about hobbies, ask them what they do and like, and say how awesome they are! DTA!!! Kiss major butt on day one on. Sorry, I fail at that. Not professional, gross, and fake. That is not on my character/DNA. I have a strong identity, zero conflict, or any have an inferior complex. Good luck!
