Great service and great options for vegetarian/vegan diners. Could have more higher-protein options, but still my place of choice :)

Awesome! The green lemonade as I recall was yummy and delicious! The staff listened and were kind. Definitely recommended.

Went here on a Friday for dinner. The restaurant is aesthetically designed and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was serene, thanks to the theme.

The menu had interesting vegetarian/vegan dishes from different cuisines (mainly Indian). Staff were very courteous. Rarely have I seen a restaurant that went all out to ensure that customers were happy with the dishes served. When one of the customers was not satisfied with the dish, the chef from the kitchen personally came to the table and enquired about the problem. They even offered to not charge for the dish. Had nachos and found it to be really good.

They also have a shop adjacent to the restaurant within their premises. Highly recommended if you are into vegetarian/vegan food!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Great little gift store, herb store and music shop all inside too. Very relaxing environment.

The food was ok, but nothing special. The atmosphere was nice and the place was immaculate. The staff were very abrupt to the point of rudeness though. I was surprised at their attitude given the philosophy of the place. I would go back, but I'd look elsewhere first

I love the food I have always found the service a bit cold though. Maybe its just me.

This shop has become my new #1 favourite place in Christchurch city..
They have great food, an amazing instrument section, where you can buy anything from chimes to drums to thumb pianos and Tibetan singing bowls, as well as a very nice gift shop and another section of great health products.

Wow! Great, healthy food! And at a very reasonable price. A very chilled out experience all in all.

The service was very good we were well looked after . The food was enjoyable and the place has a lovely atmosphere, the only thing that was missing was some background music of some sort to enhance the mood. It was a wee bit uncomfortable having a conversation without the people next to us hearing everything we had to say. But otherwise a nice experience.

Very tasty and modern vegetarian and vegan food. Some unusual and interesting options as well as unique drinks, fusing with Asian influences.

Have eat here 5/6 times when I was living in Christchurch and was always impressed by the quality of the food and the kindness of the people who work here !

Gary and I have been going to this perfect place since discovering it on our visit to Christchurch early this year. The food is amazing tasty, healthy, clean and made with love and care. The team working there are truly inspiring kind, gentle, healthy of heart and mind and always smiling. We just love going there and as we are now here in CC for the next few months it will be our special place to go on a daily basis. The Chai is the best in the world. A must place to visit if you are in CC and if you live here you are so lucky to have this wonderful place on your doorstep. The environment is filled with care and love, clean and you feel the peace as soon as you enter. Be sure and visit.

Absolutely stunning. Every option is fantastic. Daily menus wonderful.

I have been to the lotus heart a few times before for lunch and always had wonderful food especially the nachos and good friendly service. This time I went for breakfast , our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I couldn t decide what to eat so I asked what they recommend and said I felt like something savoury ... I was recommended to have the crepes! So I yes I would try them! The waiter said I ll get you guys some water 40 minutes later , still no water or food or drinks.. then finally the food arrived , we were the only people in the restaurant!! Me and my friend also ordered drinks which came out after the food?! Along side our water!? Not sure what was happening behind the kitchen ... was told sorry all the orders have been coming in at the same time to top it off my crepe was dry and taste less, I struggled to eat it. I was very disappointed :( the waiter was very friendly and did apologise which we appreciated.

Amazing restaurant! The staff is really lovely and you can tell that there is love in every step in the making of the food. The food we ate was amazing. Lights could have been a bit more dimmed at dinner time.

Beautiful fiod lovely people and gorgeous setting. The meal was so yummy and the cake to die for worth the effort going .

Great food and peaceful interior. They always offer new lunch specials but the original menu exists with the classics (humming burger for example) I recommend all the breakfast foods too they are unique.

AMAZING. Such a great food, delicious coffee. The interior is so beautiful. The service is perfect. It's hard to decide what to get because everything looks amazing. My peace bowl was spectacular.

Delicious vegetarian food! Although mainly vegetarian Indian fare, you can get some western orientated cooking. They also have a shop and the occasional entertainment. Definitely recommended for vegetarians in chch. Gets pretty busy so best to rsvp.

Despite the restaurant being busy I was greeted by an extremely warm and welcoming dood who offered me a seat to think about what I wanted to eat - even though I was getting takeaways! I ordered a peace bowl and just as the price was good it was incredibly delicious!

Finally, I am not a vegetarian, but I WILL be going back to this restaurant to try more of their vegetarian goodness!

Charming quite restaurant with extensive vegitarian and vegan menu. Wait staff are friendly and unobtrusive. Food was delicious, well proportioned and well presented. They also have a cute little shop with a wide range of less common vegitarian/vegan ingredients. Will definitely go again.

It's so great to go somewhere where all the options on the menu are vegetarian! I had a burger and it was 10/10. My friends and I loved our lunch here.

Took extended family for dinner, totally love the atmosphere here, food is different and delicious. Satisfied everybody (including a couple of burly blokes who are normally very much meat eaters).

Had an amazing time dining at Lotus Heart last night. Took us a while to decide what to get because everything sounded delicous! Really appreciate the lovely service and would definitely come back (when we come back to NZ).

Made it very cleae that my girlfriend was allergic to any type of nuts and they served her with vegan aoili containing cashews. Still made me pay full price for the meal and then we had to race to the emergency room to get adrenaline shots. Very unhappy with how they handled the situation.

Would reccommend this place to those wanting to try some delicious vegetarian/vegan cuisine. Wonderfully accommodating service and lovely to be supporting such a rich and peaceful culture.

Fantastic food with delicious gluten free and vegan options

Went there for the first time today. Loved the meals and the location. Thanks, prices are reasonable but not cheap. I like paying a fair price for the meals which is given here.

Ordered my food and was lovely, but asked to get my leftovers in a takeaway container and they took the food and threw it out. The man that served us at the cash register was arrogant and rude. Was a beautiful start and left feeling cheated and angry

A huge variety of foods available no matter what your tastes. Vegetarian or not, you are sure to find something you like.
Staff are prepared to make sure your experience us enjoyable and always make sure you are well looked after.

Really impressed, good selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Tasty, ethically sourced and not not just a derivative of the same old fare.

So disappointed in the treatment we received at lunchtime today. Upon arrival we waited by the door to be seated. Two staff members asked us if we wanted a table, looked around and then just walked away and went back to serving seated customers. We stood there for ages but were being totally ignored so eventually we just left. I am very unimpressed to be treated so rudely.

The food here is super yummy. There's also a cool wee shop inside with a great range of homeopathic remedies, natural skin care products and health foods.

A total favourite for any vegetarian or vegan. The menu is super tasty with an array of options .... definitely worth booking in... prebooking is necessary...

Amazing food followed up by beautiful service 10/10

I mean, if my super-carnivore of a husband will jump at the chance to eat here with me (on the rare occasion we actually dine out), you know the veg-fare is "en pointe". The humming burger is incredible, and their chais... oh man, their chais. This is the standard to which all other chais should be held. I have been known to camp outside of their doors waiting for my chai fix on cold and frosty mornings when I'm actively running late for appointments. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself ASAP.

Pro-tip: their holiday times are a bit different than standard, so definitely worth giving a call to check if they're open. Seriously though, I love this place.

Lovely calm zen atmosphere. We were welcomed instantly on arrival and shown to our seats. The religion states no alcohol and this created a very calm, friendly atmosphere which was tangible. I ordered a vegan pizza and it was delicious, but quite small for a medium. The non alcoholic drinks were lovely, organic and so fresh. I'd eat here again on a special occasion. We loved the music shop also which is attached to the restaurant. A lovely experience.

This place was awesome!!! The customer service was fantastic and the menu for dietary requirements such as GF and vegan is just great. We had nachos and a bowl of fries with vegan Aoli and it was very yummy along with the food. It was nice and quiet too most coffee shops are noisy but not this one... so if a quiet coffee or meal is you...you will love this place!

Great vegetarian restaurant in Christchurch, good selection of meals and healthy options as well as coffees and smoothies, amazing selection of teas. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menus. Highly recommended.
