Lorraine Hotel has very poor customer service, the rooms are disgusting, and in an unsafe part of Miami Beach. The shower head had mites, there was vomit in the hallway and the elevator (there s only one elevator), the hallways/room smelled like weed, and the manager is very rude and takes her anger out on customers because she can barely speak and understand English. I do not recommend at all.
This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. There is no trashcan except for a really small one in the bathroom. There are only double beds in the whole hotel so couples should look for somewhere else. The view out of my window is a dirty backyard and 4 walls. There is no ice machine in the building and no ice buckets. We were told that we can buy ice down the street but where would we store ot since the freezer in the fridge only held a few bottles of water. No desk or space to but anything except the top of the dresser. The lobby is beautiful though
This hotel looks and smells clean when you walk in but it wasn t very clean in the rooms. After showing, I found several different textures of others hair on my body after using the hotel towels. I had a very difficult time sleeping as the sheets did not seem to be clean either. The hotel, rooms, bathrooms, and balconies were very small. The breakfast was worse than the continental breakfast I expected. Also, this hotel advertised a free shuttle but I was alerted a few days before arrival that their airport shuttle is not operating. When I asked if they re providing Uber/Lyft rides, I did not receive a response. I would never stay here again. I also saw another couple check out after arriving due to the hotel not being clean which I considered but did not want to be walking the streets of Miami with my kids looking for a room during the week of spring break.
My stay was fine, the room we had was the ones without a balcony but you have a small view of the ocean. The restaurant they had closed down. They do have continental breakfast. Don't expect house keeping to reclean your room due to covid. Expect noisy neighbors. There is no pool at this hotel. The beach access is 24/7 open. The staff is helpful and friendly. Our room's door had a hard time locking you have to lift the door in order to lock it. They do have a laundry room. And this hotel is very close to two markets, lots of restaurants and also shops. It's easy to get around by bus and trolly. I would not rent a car there is limited street parking and always so much traffic due to on going construction.
The location is great. The price is reasonable for Miami beach. Tamara is awesome! She was able to change the room we didn't like so we got much better room with ocean view and balcony. Also Tamara gave the little present for our kids with toys and candy. You can use their beach towels and umbrella from the lobby. Beach is very close just around 150 feet. The lobby is updated and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is desirable, having beach access, a very quick walk to the bus stop, and within 10 blocks of Lincoln Rd. There are towels and beach chairs available for free upon request. There are also several bodegas and drug stores within walking distance. However, the preview pictures online are misleading, and the rooms leave much to be desired. The room had two double beds, that really don t comfortably sleep a couple together. One of the mattresses had a dip on one half and uncomfortable springs on the other. The room only had one tiny trash can. The TV remote control did not work. One window would not fully close and lock. The walls are paper thin, every noise and smell from neighboring rooms is noticeable. There were limited power outlets, most of which were already being used by room amenities. Although we personally didn t drive, there was virtually no parking and the closest public parking was blocks away. Breakfast was no more than coffee, a bagel, and a croissant. When we first checked in, and looked around the room for the first time, we noticed there was dried urine on the toilet seat, an un-flushed toilet and dried brown droplets down the wall just outside the bathroom door. The worst part about the whole stay was the unwavering stench in the bathroom. The whole four nights we stayed, there was a very pungent vomit-like aroma in the bathroom. If the bathroom door were to be left open, the smell would fill the entire room. The smell was unbearable and borderline nauseating. While the price point wasn t terribly outrageous, the room quality and cleanliness did not match the price.
An okay place for the price. We stayed beginning of May 2021. They wont tell you that the beach access is closed by the hotel. Must walk 2 blocks either way to get there. Kinda lame. Nice employees. Walls are thin..tv is small and the breakfast bags aren't the best. All we needed was a place to rest our head though.

Breakfast consists of cold bagels, cereal, and coffee from a machine with powdered creamer. Beds are hard. Hotel itself was okay. Customer dervice was good
Staff was very attentive and kind. The rooms are boring - nothing to write home about. We had a street light (the actual light bulb part) right outside our window and the curtains were very thin so we didn't sleep much. Prices were great for that area, but that room should have been cheaper. And whoever was in room 313 - we could hear the headboard banging on the wall most of the night. Next time stuff a pillow in there.
This is an okay simple motel. Wouldn't call it a hotel. The beds are rock hard and squeaky, the shower curtains smell horrible, and the beach towels are the same towels as your bathroom towels. They do not have their own beach but you can easily walk to the beach. No pool and breakfast is only coffee and a bagel from what I saw. Way too overpriced for our stay. Would have rather paid a little extra and stayed elsewhere. But like I said very simple hotel. Pictures online are VERY misleading.
