The home of English cricket and what a game the ICC Cricket World Cup final was. Congrats England!
Spectacular cricket place with nice covered sitting in most places plus more activities for kids.
The home of cricket. No atmosphere like the Lord's hum
Love it loathe cricket but this place is so great, I wish I can overnight there for the ASHES!
THE home of Cricket. Went for the players dining experience. The food was spectacular. The experience was wonderful. Full tour included along with a goodie bag at the end. The guides / managers / stewards are brilliant. Happy to answer any questions at all. I went on my birthday and every single staff member wished me a happy birthday. They also gave me a mini birthday cake along with dessert. Can't fault one second of my experience. Recommended for everyone. Worth very penny.
Undeniably the best cricket stadium in the whole world. I watched India vs England test match here and also played in MCC cricket indoor nets.
Stadium has almost all possible facilities and water fountains which are essential during match day.
This ground has the best outfield which can be play ready even after downpour in no time.
Stadium is located in residential area but easily accessible by bus or tube.
Nice experience but too much alcohol and talking going on. Family stands should be alcohol free.
Home Of Cricket Every Cricket Fan Irrespective Of Country Are Dreaming To Visit At least Once In Their Life Time
The tour guide was funny, knowledgeable & very friendly. Worth the trip from Australia.
Went for an indoor net session with a coach and video analysis. Coach was great - gave just the right amount of instruction and tips. I definitely think it helped my batting.
Good day's county cricket. Would have been nice to have a few more food stalls open mind!
Awesome cricket ground, might be world's most Heritage cricket ground
First time at a cricket match, thoroughly enjoyed it you can bring your own food and alcohol.
It's the home of cricket.....period. what more is there to say??
It's currently closed although there is a flurry of activity on the grounds presumably to get it ready for the up and coming games.
It is really a magnificent ground , even driving up to it and peering though the closed gates, imagining the ashes being won by magnificent bowling.
Anyway if you get a chance to go a game ...DO NOT pass that up!
Great friendly staff. Ticket had not printed well but staff helped entrance with no fuss
Always a great day out. It's the home of cricket. It's full of history and it's an amazing place to watch cricket.
The home of cricket. Everything is perfect about this superb ground. The whole surroundings are steeped in history, the facilities worldclass and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. If you are a cricket fan visiting Lord's is a must do.
Brilliant place to watch cricket . Great atmosphere
It's the best cricket ground I saw in my life.....
It's too big and in every corner of the stadium you can see the game.
Afternoon tea was fantastic. The museum tour was great, very interesting.
India's first world cup!!! @this wonderful stadium!!!
Great facilities and really nice just to talk around.
Home of cricket, what more can you say :) oh, you can bring your own food and drinks which a lot of people do!!!
Good tour.. a must for cricket lovers and cricket watchers . The guide gave a very good background of the history of marylborne cricket club and the ashes series..
Amazing tour to the Mecca of cricket. Must do if you are a cricket fan. Also make sure that you are visiting on a day when match is not there as you can get into player s dressing room and the famous balcony
Wonderful experience watching Cricket World Cup 2019, near St. John's Street station, also Bakers Street Station on 15 minutes walk. Food and drinks allowed, also there is plenty of food & drink stalls for people, car parking available on Sundays in nearby streets.
Wonderful ground to be provide expensive welcome...
Love it....
One of the great cricket venues. Seating reasonably comfortable with very good sight lines. Food and drink expensive but probably average for a sporting arena. You can however take in your own catering. There is a Tesco near the tube station.
Incidentally along there, look out for the Madame Tussaud blue plaque.
Slight cricism is that, especially on one day matches, they have a really whacky entry system where you queue for a ticket then go into a turnstile queue then into a security queue. Hmm.
Another helpful hint for the whacky cricket authorities. It is obvious that people paying (i.e. say not members) may well be workers. They may also work weekdays. So, a brilliant groundbreaking suggestion follows. Why not have most of the matches at weekends....
I had an Immersive experience at the stadium. The tour was informative, detailed and fun. There were alot of facts that we didn't know about the stadium and international cricket. Definitely recommended. Currently, the JP Morgan stands are being renovated so the media centre is closed for the tour, so I'd suggest to go after they have completed the construction.
Was a good tour, very historic. The pavilion, the ground, the dressing room, the writing room and the museum, all good. We all loved it...
Great place to watch cricket. Shame prices have gone up.
The stadium is huge and has a meusum and nice entrance.... Our visit could witness a local test match.
If you have ever had any interest in cricket, visit Lords. I have been many times on match days but was lucky enough to go last Saturday on a tour around the ground, pavilion, museum and media centre. The guide was brilliant, full of stories (possibly embellished) and knowledgeable on all sorts of cricket related history. Even on a cold, damp Saturday afternoon (could have been a test match day!!) the ground is fascinating.
The staff were very helpful, except in the museum where lack of 20p wouldn't let me in.
Great day out - T20 is definitely worth a visit!
Bars could be a little bit better managed (always such a long wait for a drink).
Lord's Cricket Ground: The Home of Cricket
If you are a cricket fan, then you must have heard about Lord's Cricket Ground. It is one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world and is known as the Home of Cricket. Located in St John's Wood, London, Lord's has been hosting international cricket matches since 1884.
Owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), Lord's is not just a stadium but also a symbol of tradition and heritage. MCC was founded in 1787 and has been responsible for governing the laws of cricket ever since. The club acquired the land on which Lord's stands today in 1814 and has been developing it ever since.
Lord's has witnessed some historic moments in cricketing history. From England winning their first-ever World Cup title to Brian Lara scoring his record-breaking 400 runs, Lord's has seen it all. It is also home to the famous Long Room, where players walk out before every match.
Apart from international matches, Lord's also hosts domestic games and other events throughout the year. The ground can accommodate up to 30,000 spectators and offers various seating options ranging from premium hospitality boxes to general admission tickets.
If you are planning to visit Lord's for a match or event, there are several things that you should know beforehand. Firstly, make sure that you book your tickets well in advance as they tend to sell out quickly for popular fixtures. You can buy tickets online through their official website or through authorized resellers.
Secondly, plan your day at Lord’s carefully so that you don't miss out on anything important. There are several food outlets within the stadium serving different cuisines along with bars offering drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Thirdly, make sure that you follow all rules and regulations while inside the stadium premises. This includes not bringing any prohibited items such as weapons or drugs into the ground along with adhering to dress codes if applicable.
In addition to hosting matches and events at its grounds, MCC also runs several initiatives aimed at promoting cricket around the world such as coaching programs for young players along with supporting charities related to sports development globally.
In conclusion, if you are a true cricket fan then visiting Lords' should be on your bucket list! With its rich history and tradition combined with modern facilities makes it an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves this sport!
