History of cricket started from lords. So many international players played cricket in lords.Lords is called Mecca of cricket.I am huge lover of cricket.Today (29-01-2017) visited Lord s cricket stadium.stadium is very beautiful the tour guide is very nice.He explained everything very well.
Beautiful cricket ground.. Proud to play test cticket at Lord's..
Well! Words can't describe the very feeling when you enter the pavilion and the dressing room of the ground! It's no wonder called thanks it's history and feels so serene and religious shrine for a cricketer.
Visited Lord s cricket ground-the home ground of cricket to watch Cricket World Cup-19 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Specially opted for this game to see this beautiful ground. After watching inside and enjoying the match, I can imagined how magnificent this ground is. It s easily approachable through London s metro and bus services. Ground is full of facilities and attractions. All the cricket lovers must visit this ground at least once in life time.
What a place to watch England or Middlesex. History surrounds you
HQ of cricket, love watching a game here, it is everything and more you wished for, just as long as the weather is good.
Visited Lord's as a Covid vaccine centre... The people were lovely & friendly. There were hardly any people waiting for the shot. I visited around midday/Wednesday. Kind staff & volunteers. Quick, efficient & had easy access for all.
An English institution. The museum is a good place to kill time if play is stopped.
As always the home of cricket delivers
Even if the weather didn't
It was one of my dream to see a match at Lords cricket stadium and it was one of the spectacular places to see a cricket match.
Fantastic cricket ground with good beer and food offering!
I'd suggest you get tickets in a sheltered area to avoid the London rain!
Home of cricket if you don't like cricket why are you looking
Booked the Lords Ground Tour which I thoroughly enjoyed & Is pretty much a must for any cricket fan. Been to a game here before but the opportunity to see inside the Pavillion, Long Room & sit on the Middle Balcony must't be missed.
Tour started after we'd had some time to visit the Museum with display cases full of items related to iconic cricketers, WG Grace, Bradman, Tendulkar, Botham, Warne - the lot . The upper floor has a glass trophy case containing trophies past & present plus of course the Ashes Urn.
After the museum we were given a walk around the Pavillion to see all the Portraits & a visit to the Long Room. Then out onto the Middle Balcony - What a view ! We also had a look inside the ECB box.
Mecca of cricket and rightly called so! tour was great n recommended to all.Do not forget the student's discount if u carrying ur ID card

Stunning venue!
Cricket. Cricket. Cricket. What's more to say. Steeped in so much history and it lives in today. Looked around the club, grounds and facilities. Staff were warm and welcoming. I'm not even a fan of cricket but would love to go on a match day now!
They do everything from individual entrance through to corporate events, have a museum, bars and restaurants on the grounds.
Love the place. Tour covers most of the things including musium and players pavillion. Relived the moments of world cups. Amazing.
A great day out. Would recommend to anyone. Even if you don't know much about cricket, chances are your friends do.
Lovely day watching Scotland thrashing MCC. Only allowed to take in 2 beers and no bar open. Stupid MCC.
Excellent atmosphere! Everybody should go at least once as a spectator in this venue.
Very organized friendly staff. All facilities are in good condition. Excellent connectivity to anywhere in the city. Will be travelling again at next opportunity for sure.
Excellent place for cricket lovers. You can really feel your presence and can feel proud if you are an Indian.
Loved it, a cricket fan should visit this ground once. They have nice guided tours available. You can feel the cricket history during the tour. It stars with W G Grace and continues...
The home of cricket...the ground to watch for
All cricket lovers should take the guided tour here and visit the pavilion and the media centre without fail
Home of cricket . St John's wood station ( jubilee line ) is a 5 min walk bus 13 and 139 pass by .
Historic venue with decent range of food and drink options
Great place to watch the cricket. Lots of food and drink outlets. Handy for the station.
Historic Cricket Ground. Always special to watch a match there.
The best cricket ground in the world. Really easy to get to.
This is where cricket was born and I was there! It is a well kept sanctuary for the sport of cricket and its fans, making the experience all the more special for a profane like I am (still working on the cricket rules as we speak!). With breathtaking views on the ground and the surroundings, depending on where you sit. Not only I was there with my friends, but I met with like minded people, good people, reunited to enjoy the joys of cricket: a good game, a good laugh, and the 'odd' drink (sic). A very 'britishifying' experience indeed.
The home of cricket! Easy to get food and drinks and very picturesque setting. Went for a T20 game and watched the game as the sun set
Great evening out for the T20 Blast. We sat in Upper Compton stand and had a very good view of the entire match. It was a shame that we didn't get to see a Middlesex victory but that's not really in the control of the ground...
My wife step daughter & mother in law went & scattered my father in law'[s ashes on 6th November I must say how all the Staff including the security at the ground were fantastic we had a very great & moving day which wouldn't have been possible without the way we were looked after superb effort. I fI could give 10 stars I would.
Great Place, wax statue around the place, small ground, Make sure the availability of tour guide as it is difficult to get hands on them. Food is available around the corner.
Great stadium Prices are way too high inside, hring your own snacks and booze
1st trip too Lords. Surrounded by Pakistan supporters. Atmosphere was fantastic
Great place match fees very high shame I'd go more if cheaper
Home of cricket. What more to say. Wrap up warm in April
Absolutely mind blowing experience at the Makka of Cricket..
Lords..
"The Home of Cricket". The perfect name for this amazing experience. I have been there once and believe me its an out of the world experience. Please note that this review would be a little biased towards cricket lovers as i am one of them. A day tour cost you 18 pounds for one and if you opt for one on one, two persons can buy one consolidate ticket for two. Inside there you get to see players dressing rooms, beautiful paintings of Cricketers, merit board, the place where players use to sit, beautiful beautiful ground, the famous gallery where saurav ganguly showed his six packs and ofcourse the original Ashes trophy. Yes the trophy that you get to see in Ashes tours is only a replica of the original trophy which is actually only 6 inches in length. Apart from all this to the very surprise of all the visitors you get to see the original lawn tennis. Yes the lawn tennis in its very raw form and its being played in indoor courts in lords since 1800's. All i can say is its a must see if you love cricket...
Lord's Cricket Ground: The Home of Cricket
If you are a cricket fan, then you must have heard about Lord's Cricket Ground. It is one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world and is known as the Home of Cricket. Located in St John's Wood, London, Lord's has been hosting international cricket matches since 1884.
Owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), Lord's is not just a stadium but also a symbol of tradition and heritage. MCC was founded in 1787 and has been responsible for governing the laws of cricket ever since. The club acquired the land on which Lord's stands today in 1814 and has been developing it ever since.
Lord's has witnessed some historic moments in cricketing history. From England winning their first-ever World Cup title to Brian Lara scoring his record-breaking 400 runs, Lord's has seen it all. It is also home to the famous Long Room, where players walk out before every match.
Apart from international matches, Lord's also hosts domestic games and other events throughout the year. The ground can accommodate up to 30,000 spectators and offers various seating options ranging from premium hospitality boxes to general admission tickets.
If you are planning to visit Lord's for a match or event, there are several things that you should know beforehand. Firstly, make sure that you book your tickets well in advance as they tend to sell out quickly for popular fixtures. You can buy tickets online through their official website or through authorized resellers.
Secondly, plan your day at Lord’s carefully so that you don't miss out on anything important. There are several food outlets within the stadium serving different cuisines along with bars offering drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Thirdly, make sure that you follow all rules and regulations while inside the stadium premises. This includes not bringing any prohibited items such as weapons or drugs into the ground along with adhering to dress codes if applicable.
In addition to hosting matches and events at its grounds, MCC also runs several initiatives aimed at promoting cricket around the world such as coaching programs for young players along with supporting charities related to sports development globally.
In conclusion, if you are a true cricket fan then visiting Lords' should be on your bucket list! With its rich history and tradition combined with modern facilities makes it an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves this sport!
