Home of cricket. Really nice guide. But overpriced for 25 pounds
check the tours available & enjoy a good meal at a fair price
Home of cricket. Very best in world where you get best customer service.
It is equivalent to heaven for a true cricket fan. It's a great feeling seeing the history of cricket in the home of cricket .
You haven't experienced cricket until you've been to the historic Lords cricket ground! Always an enjoyable time coming to visit and see either a one dayer or T20! Very picturesque and good sized grounds! Fun entertainment for all ages and we'll equipped with bars and facilities! Also you're allowed to bring in your own alcohol and food, so tale advantage!
Enjoyed the cricket. The staff were all very helpful. Definitely be back.
Love cricket. Support England and Sri Lankan cricket. Catches win matches
It is the home of cricket or... The Mecca of cricket.
Home of Cricket. Loved the experience. Watched one of the World cup group match.
Great experience. Loved it. It is worth to spend the money for the ticket. A great, must have experience if you are a true cricket fan. Tour group was not much big ( around 10-20 people) and you can ask questions and clarify things.
This is a great cricket venue, watching England playing is a treat.
Alway a good venue to meet up on the nursery ground
Cricket is a sport with special rules and games last for hours.
A fine tour of Lords, its history an the now ,led by a very charming elderly and knowledgeble guide ,showing the behind closed doors atmosphere of the life members and current players!!
It's a good place to enjoy with your friends relatives.
It's the headquarters of cricket. Say no more. A Test match at Lord's has to be on everyone's bucket list.
Not into cricket but a rather impressive ground !!!!
Except for a shortage of toilets on average 20- 30 minutes to use a gents urinal, a great place to visit and to watch cricket. Some subcontinent fans are not used to alcohol and can therefore become boisterous and ill, which spoils the day for everybody
Superb quality of stadium, cricket field, world asset
Very outdated. I appreciate the nostalgic value, but the scorecard need being digital on the big screen not manual. Seats could be more confortable. Other than that, great ground. This is 2019 not 1975.
Home of cricket, unique and a clubby feeling- you wait 20 years to get admitted if you re not actually a cricketer. Great day out though, even if not in the pavilion. Beer and fast food good; you can t really see what s occurring from 50 yards away, so best with a cricket radio and earpiece.
It is the greatest cricket ground . Today England will play a test match between Australia in this ground . I hope that England will try to win this match . Australia wil do too .
What can one say ! "IT IS HOME OF CRICKET" - had a wonderful day, particularly when England has won the world cup. Dr.V.M (Venk).
Best place for lessons .I highly recommend this place
I like to go their and watch the grass and seat it takes my stress away.
Friendly staff, well organised queues, lots of food and beverage options, good seats... It's a great place to go for a day out or evening out!
Very welcome on the day of a match the security guards of the stadium were on top all the staff very friendly
I give 4 star for over all ground but not in side because not everyone can get in like pavilion or in the hall where you can see history it a historical ground and other things is food is very very expensive
The home of cricket . Welcoming and friendly. Good views of the pitch from pretty much anywhere you sit. Reasonably priced too.
We usually go to at least one of the T20 games a year which are packed out with a complete mix of families and groups of friends. Lots of kids there who all seem to love the fun and music
The best place in the world to feel what is cricket. Love this venue.
A nice experience to be at a historic place on a historic event. CWC19 at Lords.
The home of cricket. Suffers from pure number of people during international matches. Be prepared to queue a long time for everything.
Lord's - the Home of Cricket. The world's most famous cricket venue, hosts international and and first-class matches with the finest hospitality. Lord's is also available as a venue to hire for your event, meeting, product launch, exhibition or more.
The home of cricket epic stadium cannot praise further
Went there to get the COVID jab, didn't visit the grounds within but the Marylebone Cricket Club instead.
A wonderful experience for any cricket lover. It's the best you can ask for.
Enough numbers of volunteers were there... one of the best looking stadium I've ever seen.
The mecca of cricket , Lord's is where the history of the gentleman's game is all available. An excellent watching experience and a museum that's legendary. Truly an experience for devotees of the game of cricket.
Neville says this is a good place to watch cricket.
The ground, needless to say is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Stewards and staff very pleasant helpful and approachable.
Signs to ground non-existent so if like me you're not familiar with the area take a map!
Awesome, a must visit. You can get your own drinks at the ground which rare to see .
Stadium tour was good for a cricket lover, would have been better if there was a county match on the tour day.
Lovely old ground, went to see Eng v Aus, good atmosphere. Cost of food and drink was expensive but probably same as most events in London
Lived up to its reputation as the best sports venue in the world. A beautiful place to spend a sunny day watching cricket.
Lord's Cricket Ground: The Home of Cricket
If you are a cricket fan, then you must have heard about Lord's Cricket Ground. It is one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world and is known as the Home of Cricket. Located in St John's Wood, London, Lord's has been hosting international cricket matches since 1884.
Owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), Lord's is not just a stadium but also a symbol of tradition and heritage. MCC was founded in 1787 and has been responsible for governing the laws of cricket ever since. The club acquired the land on which Lord's stands today in 1814 and has been developing it ever since.
Lord's has witnessed some historic moments in cricketing history. From England winning their first-ever World Cup title to Brian Lara scoring his record-breaking 400 runs, Lord's has seen it all. It is also home to the famous Long Room, where players walk out before every match.
Apart from international matches, Lord's also hosts domestic games and other events throughout the year. The ground can accommodate up to 30,000 spectators and offers various seating options ranging from premium hospitality boxes to general admission tickets.
If you are planning to visit Lord's for a match or event, there are several things that you should know beforehand. Firstly, make sure that you book your tickets well in advance as they tend to sell out quickly for popular fixtures. You can buy tickets online through their official website or through authorized resellers.
Secondly, plan your day at Lord’s carefully so that you don't miss out on anything important. There are several food outlets within the stadium serving different cuisines along with bars offering drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Thirdly, make sure that you follow all rules and regulations while inside the stadium premises. This includes not bringing any prohibited items such as weapons or drugs into the ground along with adhering to dress codes if applicable.
In addition to hosting matches and events at its grounds, MCC also runs several initiatives aimed at promoting cricket around the world such as coaching programs for young players along with supporting charities related to sports development globally.
In conclusion, if you are a true cricket fan then visiting Lords' should be on your bucket list! With its rich history and tradition combined with modern facilities makes it an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves this sport!
