A fantastic day out, the festival of lights was jaw dropping.
Another great family day out. Lots to see and do and you get an oppotunity to actually handle some of the animals and insects. You get a real buzz seeing wolves and big cats just yards away from your car. One crtisism, the staff in the cellar cafe didn't appear to be having a wonderful time. There was confusion over some pricing of certain items, and happiness was less tha abundant, some of the staff appeared to not to want to be there. On the plus side, the animals seem to be well cared for and look healthy. Some prices are a little high in the gift shops but, if the proceeds are to assist with the upkeep of the grounds and the welfare of the animals, I won't complain.
I have been here several times fantastic place rich in history.
We love this place so much, so many cool animals and rides and awesome shows being put on with music and instruments and lots of guest participation x x
To tell you the truth I wasn't impressed, you only get to see a small part of the house. So for that reason 2 stars is more than enough.
Visited with 3 adult friends and their 4 and 2 year old. We all enjoyed the tour of the house and counting the christmas trees. There were lots of food and drink stools and plenty of stuff to do. The lights were amazing and can't recommend enough. Only downside - more toilets as there were long queues everytime you went and could do with more seating. Also all the water fountains in the play areas were broken and the one that worked in the cafe was painfully slow! Therefore 4/5 overall
Building is so pretty. I would love to spend more time exploring more if it.
Lovely day but lots of queuing. Think they may have too high a capacity for the amount of inside areas etc they have and quite a few are closed. Its a big site but due to limits on indoor areas there are huge queues for everything. Nice day and lovely animals but just too many queues. Staff trying their best but wouldn't rush back as it stands as just too busy. Will wait till things calm down.
From Peterborough, our journey took just over 3 hours.. We arrived and our visit to Lord Bath's magnificent property was enjoyable from start to finish... Well maintained zoo, beautiful grounds, remarkable estate and elegant historical home full of 400 years of history..
Actually was more interested in the Festival of Lights - amazing! But also enjoyed what I saw of the house but it was cold and wet which always clouds your view!!
Totally love going here with or even without the grandkids. The festival of lights were amazing and especially Santa's grotto! I wanted to stay.
A great day out for families. The safari park is a must. Be prepared to wait in line but every exhibit is worth it.
A very interested house. Given a leaflet on entry to guide you roundwhich was enhanced very very knowledgeable staff. Good value.
Amazing day out best bit was going through the monkeys
Steeped in history. The guides are very knowledgeable and afterwards there is a wonderful cafe and shop to browse around.
Very dark in the winter, could have more lighting when leaving the car park grounds leading all the way upto the entrance/exit make it more safer for general public & drivers in vehicles
Fun place for kids, lions are not a real feature anymore too enclosed. The layout could be more like the Dutch safari experience in Tilbury, with more contact to large animals on foot, and a central walk for all the major enclosures.
Festival of Lights is amazing. Laser show is good. It ruins repeatedly. There s no set time. Each one lasts around 5-7 minutes. Christmas tree lights show is also good. It lasts around 10 minutes.
Great place for a day out. If I could would give a lot more stars
Absolutely fantastic place to have a look around, really enjoyed it
Visiting Longleat is always a fantastic day, third time I have been and it is always lovely. Food was great as well!
Lovely and picturesque. Enjoyed the Safari the boat cruise everything was great. The animals were amazing and there was plenty to see and do. Will be going back when the house is open again.
love this place just love it so much history and the animals are amazing
Great day out at Longleat Safari but take your own picnic and save some money also worth upgrading for a year pass
Amazing we had a wonderful day, very disabled friendly staff are wonderful
Love it every time we go annual pass well worth it. Looking forward to lock down finishing and using the campsite to get a good weekend out of it.
Longleat has evolved a lot over the years, still a great place to visit. So much to see and do - but it can be done in a day so don't panic! The safari is brilliant and the animals all seemed lively, the attractions are in a decent condition too, looks like they have all been revamped recently. Had takeaway food which was tasty and reasonably priced. Will go again.
Very badly organised. Maze was only open for special vips..over priced...queue after queue
Lovely historic place....Safari Park still as fab since visiting in the 70's as a youngster...Need to bring back Dr Who exhibit & Winston Churchill memorabilia...x
A great day out and they have done a great job setting up social distancing measures
A nice day out. It is good to see good social distancing in place to keep everyone safe and the monkey's ate as cheeky as ever.
A good day out, need to get in first thing to get round it all. Train, boat, maze, animals and the house. Get chance to feed some animals. Watch out for the monkeys, had my washer jets both of them. Want to go back in summer to look at the house, as ran out of time.
great place to visit just need more time as there were kids every where lining up to watch and go on same rides,
The boat trip was quite interesting apart from you had to que for some time then you could not get a place to take photos very well as every seat was taken and they stuck you in the middle you should have a bench each.
And when they feed the seals everyone goes to one side and there is no room.
Train ride was unable to do this as they went for lunch and as we did not have much time is was either this or parrot show before rushing to the house.
could not look at the maze or the dinosaurs.
I also thought I lost a battery once I left I wrote email and they replied so quick they had an item but as it was a battery could not post then amazing I found my battery they had someone else's battery so got to praise them for this.
Parrot show was quite good and the bat cave and the butterfly enclosure trying to catch a photo of them as they are quick. Safari was ok apart from time wasted as all animals were a sleep.
Really nice place, lots to do - Very expensive for entry
So much opulence and history. Easy to forget it is actually someone's house!
We had a wonderful day celebrating a 90th birthday. Loads of animals about and our car came out unscathed from the Monkey enclosure. Didn't get to visit the house unfortunately.
Lovely house visited during trip to festival of lights.
Well worth the visit and don't forget to ask about the back of house tours, a small additional surcharge, but WOW you wont forget it
So pleased Longleat reopened. Great day out and animals were obviously well cared for. Could probably do with more toilet facilities, due to the queues. But on the whole the staff were really trying to maintain the social distancing thing. Great job everyone.
Had an absolutely fantastic day !! Koala exhibit was superb.
Excellent facilities. Great experience in the drive area. Plenty of play space once out of the car for kids and many good options. Not to mention the walk through animal exhibits, the lap running Armadillo and the anteaters were big hits.
The boat tour was excellent too, we very much enjoyed our little Welsh guide and his banter.
Lovely day out, staff great and very considerate during Civid
This is a great place to visit with house and wild animals to see. The winter light display is a real delight.
Fabulous! The rooms are exquisite. The staff are very friendly and really informative. We loved it!!
Amazing day out! Social distancing is okay for some areas but areas where queues are necessary then they could monitor these a bit better to ensure people are well distanced.
You cannot beat a ride through the safari...the monkeys inside and outside the car made our day.
Beautiful building. I was really taken aback by how stunning the interior was. Only certain parts are open in winter, but it is packed in so densely, there is plenty to see.
Longleat House is closed at the moment due to Covid 19. The safari park is open and most things in the Jungle area were open. The train and boats were also working but the queues were not very social distances. Shops and restaurants etc were well socially distanced. Nice to see the place doing well. The highlight for us was Koala Creek. It's so lovely to see the Koalas there they have built a lovely home for them. Such amazing animals. Also loved the Meerkat Area. Best area for Meerkats that we have seen in any zoo.
Beautiful house and gardens. Safari park is amazing with loads to do and see. Fab day out!
Stunning place over the festive season always get some major attractions yearly
Ok, not as good as I remember and much more commercial than it was 20-25 Years ago
An all round good day out. Excellent attractions good if expencive food in line with most attractions. BOOK BEFORE TURNING UP IN HIGH SEASON or you may not get in!
Great day for all the family and reasonable price considering what you can see and do
Looks beautiful but it was closed when we visited due to covid 19.
Amazing Night Glow event ... well done Longleat, ery good event.
Good place to go but doesn t change much over the years
Good place for a good day out. Despite covid lots to do and see. Expensive but once in you can see the cost is inclusive so I would say good value for money for a day out. Don't forget the Safari drive excellent
