The dentist in 3 years worth of appointments looked at my teeth maybe 3 times. He walked away mid treatment one time and never came back to finish. One appointment as I was leaving for an appointment I thought he was going to work on finishing my teeth after a root canal - instead his staff did x rays and another teeth cleaning. His go to when he missed an appointment or was too incapacitated to treat. As I was leaving the door to his office was slightly cracked and he was asleep face down on his desk. His staff is very good. It s a shame they have to cover for absence and lack of professionalism. I m now seeing a new dentist, endodontist and oral surgeon (I know 4 others having to go this route too thst were long term patients if his) to correct his errors. I m now out of pocket close to $14k after dental insurance has paid their portion and nearly a year of corrective treatment. One root canal had to be redone because Ellis just sealed over the endodontist original packing instead of removing and doing a correct build up. I may lose this tooth now too. Luckily I have the insurance and funds to pay for treatment. I feel for those he treats on star plus or private pay who can t afford alternative care to fix his poor dental practices. This man has problems. His issues are affecting patients. Don t go to this dentist.

The staff is very friendly, very clean environment and they are really good about working with you. The only complaint I have is I strongly feel I pay the doctor to make me love my smile but yet he never checks my teeth after my visits (unless requested) which I feel is very important. I really feel this would only take a few minutes of his time so for that I am only giving 3stars.

I went there for a cleaning, and it was a very middle of the road experience for me. Overall, it was not a complete disaster, but I likely won't be going back.

Pros: very nice staff; clean and cheery decor; faultless teeth cleaning

Cons: several biggies.

1. The doctor gave me overall maybe 30 seconds of his time. The hygienist cleaned my teeth. This is the first time in my life, after 5-6 different doctors (I either moved, or insurance changed) that the doctor her or himself didn't clean my teeth. I think the hygienist did a fine job here, but there is a BIG benefit to having a doctor spend some quality time with the deep dark recesses of your mouth: they might spot something problematic that a hygienist might not be trained to catch. After having it the other way for so long, this is a deal breaker for me.

2. The wait was FOREVER. I was first seen, briefly, 30 minutes after I arrived. I got an x-ray 45 minutes after I arrived, and the cleaning started 15 minutes later. That's a full HOUR after I arrived! In my head, I justified it because I figured the doctor was being held up by an unplanned emergency. But. . .the doctor didn't even clean my teeth! WHAT WAS THE HOLDUP!?

The hygienist and ortho team are awesome! They are nice and know what they are doing!! I recently switched to them after a bad experience at the Dental Cosmetic Center. So glad I made the switch! I will recommend my family and friends to Longhorn Dental!

By far, the most talented group of dentist/assistants we have been to. Dr. Ken Ellis is sincere, efficient, and straight forward and his staff, Kim and Jessica are top notch (plus, super sweet!). Most of all, our experience was painless. If we could give them 10 Stars, we would!

Great Dr.and the hygienists are awesome staff is sweet

One of the hygienist was painful when I had my teeth cleaned; I was charged for some deadening solution which I have NEVER HAD & it was still a painful ordeal.
I'm here to p u xrays & it's closed @ 2:10 pm. There are no hrs. posted & no answer when I call. I've been trying since 11:30 am.

I absolutely love love this dentist! Staff is amazing for the check in stand point to check out... I would highly recommend them to anyone.
