The aquarium was super super fun. My daughter and family loved it. My score is based on the bathrooms. I used them 2 times the first time like at 12:45 they were a little messy but not to bad. The second time like at 2:15 they looked like a war had happened in there. One of the toilets had pop on the floor and on the set. Also the trash bin was super full paper all over the floor. Not acceptable specially with everything that is happening.

Such a great first time at Long Island Aquarium, I dont know why I waited so long to go. It brought out the kid in me. Touching the stingrays and the starfish was so cool. I really enjoyed the sea lion show and the penguin feeding was the best, they are soooooo cute, especially that waddle, reminded me of my pregnant days lol. Gather the kids and enjoy your day filled with fun and excitement for the whole family.

The aquarium was super fun and it was cool to see all of the animals. We got to feed the sting rays which was only 3 dollars. While the water life was very interesting to see, they also had tiny monkies and slightly bigger monkies, which was unexpected at an aquarium but still pretty neat. There is also a butterfly exhibit which was very nice too. As a whole, this establishment is a nice place to go; however, it's very expensive for what it is ($75 for 2 adults) and there's nowhere to fill water bottles which is brutal in the summer time, especially when it's already pricy just for entry. The cafeteria is grossly overpriced which is unfortunate for those who abide by the aquarium's "no food or drink" policy.

That being said, I enjoyed my time here, but their hospitality left a bad taste and it needs attention.

Really good aquarium. A lot of fun for kids. But is more just an aquarium. Also they have an amazing butterflies garden, an interesting rock mining & place where you can feed parrots.
But it's a little bit far away from NYC. You can get here by car and train. Long Island Railroad train are coming here (Riverhead station) but it's a little bit inconvenient.

Nice little aquarium with pond to touch and feed sand sharks and rays - a sea lion show, many displays of sea creatures, a walk-in butterfly room and a walk-in aviary where you can feed the parrots. Our 6 year olds had a fabulous time.

It's not the biggest aquarium but they pack a lot into a small space. Love the sea lion viewing window. If you're there for the shark feed it's totally worth seeing. Mermaid mondays during the summer are also great! Butterfly house is nice too and the birds are pretty fun to feed.

Been going for years, staff is always nice and love to talk about the fish and answer all questions you have. Food cod be better but most of the money from it goes towards helping out the rescued animals as well as upkeep for the aquarium so it's worth it.

Excellent location to bring children of all ages! I must say that the best thing I experience at the Long island aquarium with my family was the bird exhibit where you can feed birds and they also are able to fly on you.

Definitely a nice place for friends and family to spend some time there. From penguins to sharks, from Koi to sea horses...you can find many interesting things there to watch and to shoot photos or videos.

I ve been going to this place since it was Atlantis Marine World, and to be honest it hasn t changed much since. That s not a bad thing, but you can tell that it could use a little updating. I don t know the last time they added anything significantly new.

It s also fairly pricey! But it s Long Island, it s an aquarium, and you do get a good amount of stuff to see for your money.

All in all a good day trip, fun for the whole family with enough to keep everyone entertained for a while. My favorite part is probably the bird & butterfly exhibit, although the shark tank can t be beat. Go in good weather and explore the outdoor bits!

Very fun, stingrays were awesome to stroke/pet.

The sea lion show was entertaining and fun filled.
The shark tank was insane , I definitely need to fo back on a day where it's not raining and do the little cruise.

Alot of things in there for children and adults, incl. Butterfly house (honestly one of the best things there in my opinion, if you stay still long enough they will land on you for some spectacular photos)

(Edited to upload shark picture and penguins)

Haven't been here in over 5 years. Came with here with the family few days ago. Still the same setup. Nothing new about it. Kids enjoyed it so that's all that matters I guess. Was just hoping for something new to be added in those 5 years.

Great place with a great design/architecture.. Fish, turtles, sharks, stingrays, penguins, lizards, snakes and a touching pond. Not to mention the butterfly and bird exhibit! Pay $3 in the entrance, and feed the turtles, and visit the touching pond before exiting! Great place to bring kids off all ages and adults too. There's even some food options on main Street

Wow. Just wow. I went there looking to have some fun w/ the family. We were all in a good mood. Everything was fine until we entered the bird exhibit. My youngest son Detroit (he is 4) was yelled at by one of the employees for touching the food that was in the exhibit, he was supposed to use the food he was given. He was crying the whole time. The lady asked for his name and she said "Detroit dont touch the food in the exhibit!" After that she made fun of his name. My other son Iraq (he is 7) was also yelled at (for the same thing). Then we went to the sharks and the same employee followed us there. We were very upset. We finally got her off our rear end upstairs. We had some what fun until I wanted to get myself a lemonade. I put the dollar in and it gave me a pepsi. We also came for the outside stuff but half of it was closed for god knows what. Overall we hated it.

the aquarium is beautiful with lots of things to do, we all loved the salt marsh (free) and the butterflies (extra). I am not sure if others on this list go to the bronx zoo or ny aquarium but you have to pay to park at those facilities and it costs about the same to get in any recreational place. there are tanks where the kids can touch animals and wonderful shows. If you enjoy animals it is a must see on Long Island

Great place. Never realized how HUGEthis place is! We thought we would only be there a couple of hours but, we spent the whole day!! Thank you to Alicia and Mary at the eatery. We really had a Great time. Loved the "tiger" chicken strips!!

Even though they sell you a specific time it means nothing. They do not manage the crowds. It was packed, with people on top of each other. There are no employees around managing the crowds or making sure people are wearing masks. It is disappointing and disturbing. If you love your family do not go.

I have been there several times, the parkinglot is far away from the aquarium, they decided to build a hotel next to the it so it is getting tight, the place is perfect to take kids of all ages, good shows, handicap accses to all activities, very organized, clean and beautiful, they do a great job keeping up the aquarium.
