Came home to visit. Haven't been here in a few years. Still a great place! Had a very organized layout during this COVID phase. Everything was accessible except the touch tank and feeding the sting rays (which saved me money LOL). We had to make a reservation to go so they can comply with numbers, but we were able to do it the day of. We went last Saturday and it was really nice not having it packed.

I brought to them a turtle who had been ran over by someone at my work complex. Even though they are a rescue they don't take wild turtles only sea turtles. The only reason they took the injured turtle wa as because there were people gathering to see what wa as happening. The lady from their foundation stated that they will take it and call a vet to pick him up. When I left, even though his shell was severely broken in one side and it was bleeding, the little turtle was still fighting and moving...hope that whomever they called were able to help the turtle

Good place, both interesting and creepy. The way it is designed and maintained is definitely creepy. Fish and animals you can see there are definitely fascinating. There is a lot of construction work and some exhibition windows are empty. For the price of admission, administration should be doing better job keeping aquarium alive and presentable.

Perfect trip to take the family on a cold winter's day ... Call ahead or check the website if you want to get the schedule for the shark feeding, see the penguins or the other animal shows ... My kids love the various animals they have on exhibition with their handlers. Very educational and fun.

I love this place. It's not the largest but it has a great feel to it. The staff make it very inviting and there are plenty of attractions to keep you occupied for a few hrs. Just wish the boat was running today as the boat tour I always have a great time on

Always a great time. Signed up for membership again. If you plan on going more than once a year it is worth it. Great if you need something to do with young kids. I little pricey but free as many time you want to go for a year. I have also done the shark dive. It was a great experience.

Great time, and very family friendly. The exhibits are set up well, and can do the entire aquarium in a couple of hours. But, there is so much to do, you could spend all day here.

Much better place compared to the NY aquarium, except the sea lion show. The aquarium included a lot of variety - sharks, sea lions, sea otters etc even some monkeys. The koi fish pond and the sea lion exhibit was a hit with the kids. There is also a butterfly garden and a birds exhibit. You could buy seeds and feed the birds, and if you are calm and lucky, the birds may perch on your shoulders.

The exhibits were amazing and the tanks were all very well maintained, all the life there was very well cared for and happy! They take VERY good care of the animals there. I was extremely impressed.

Good for very young children. Not very appealing to adults. Very few creatures to visit. The tanks were very foggy and the Sea Life were very dull. The octopus was gray and they only had one. The show of the sea lions was pathetic. The aquarium is fairly new but it looks like could use an overhaul big time. The Highlight for us was the butterfly sanctuary. The rest of the aquarium was very disappointing. It was a long trip it was expensive and it was very mediocre. The one in Brooklyn is far far superior

At first glance its very pricey but after hours of being there; and constantly entertained you'll realize that its a great value! We loved the seal show and the shark exhibit! The entire place was built to impress and amaze. My son loved being able to pet and feed stingrays, and all of the animals are treated with respect and you can tell! The animals love to put on shows for you when they see you.

Nice place for a day out with family. Aside from the aquarium, there's also an indoor, year round butterfly exhibit and a small bird sanctuary. You can get tickets for just these 2 exhibits without access to the aquatic animals.

If you're going to it thinking it will be a big place like the natural history museum in the city then you'll be very disappointed. It took about an hour to walk around the entire place and see everything.

Food court was subpar as my burger was burnt to a crisp. School cafeteria lunches are better. Overpriced too.

The best parts of the entire place were the shark tank, feeding the stingrays, and the sea lion show. Everything else was tiny and barely present.

If you're thinking about going, do this instead, take the train to nyc and go to a museum there. It'll cost you about the same price and you'll get more for your money.

Being retirees we have seen many aquariums and the Riverhead Aquarium is truly enjoyable. Not large but has everything one wishes to see. Clean and we'll kept and the staff is friendly and informative. The butterfly and bird exhibit was a additional surprise.

Was with my grandson and his other grandmother while visiting! We had a blast! Of course, the company had SOMETHING to do with it, but was nice. It was a dreary day outside and we forgot all about that while we were there. Just enjoyed watching the baby take everything in.

My grandchildren were just amazed.

They were exhausted after a very full day.

I live just north of Boston and have been to the New England Aquarium many times and I think the Long Island Aquarium is just as enjoyable! Lots of different things going on!

And if you're vacationing on Long Island, I also recommend Suffolk County Skeet, Trap & Sporting Clays and, if you have the dough, Sailacat catamaran charter.

Such a cute little aquarium and facilities! Everyone was wearing masks but was a little hard to maintain social distancing when in front of viewing tanks. The one wag arrows definitely helped keep everyone from crossing over each other - we really enjoyed it overall!

Nice small facility but very high prices for admission and add-ons. The signage is in too small a font , too scrunched , poorly lighted , and out of date and incomplete . This is not a costly fix ! Lovely young people doing the education and beautifully competent management of the very challenging sea horse and coral reef habitat. Midweek is a better deal.

This is a good place to take children to see various fish and sea creatures. Its quite expensive and there are up charge experiences throughout, such as paying extra to feed fish. Note that there is virtually no air conditioning so it's very HOT and humid inside. There's enough to do for a couple of hours. The patching is a couple of blocks away and is an extra 10 dollars.

I went here for the day with my 2 nephews, they were so excited and for good reason! We spent 6 hours there making sure we saw as much as we could. The butterfly area was my favorite but they loved the touch tanks where they could feed sting rays and pet them.

My son loves the Riverhead Aquarium. There is lots packed into a small place. Very clean and well maintained. Staff is awesome & knowledgeable. There is more to do in the warmer months but it is still a good time. It is a little pricey so be prepared. Gift shop is conveniently located at the exit.
