i will tell to this shop that they are oblige by law to mark the price before and after putting a produce in sale and not denied a discount they usually do to the students with the correspondent card adducing that the produce is already on sale. Thats not fair!!! Michel Meyer
This is a dream shop. If you have an flare for arts & crafts, you will love this shop. It has everything that you could possible think off. Reasonably priced too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Shop small and tight for space, but well worth visiting. Wide range of materials, from cheap and cheerful suitable for children, middle budget materials suitable for adult beginners at art, hobbyists and students to very high quality materials for professional artists. This is the type of shop creative's dream of. When I write there is something for everyone, it's true. Oils, watercolours, paper, inks, pencils, brushes, dies, paper crafting products, beautiful books, clay, spray paints, pastels, pan pastels, glues, fabric dyes. The list goes on. If you can't find what you are looking for, the staff bend backwards trying to assist and still go so far as to order in what you want. The staff are welcoming, approachable and informative. The founder of this family run operation, started his career in construction, moved into the art store business & in doing so followed his passion. His legacy is this wonderful shop, check it out & you'll be happy you did. What's more, you'll be back.
Very helpful and welcoming atmosphere, bought all of my calligraphy items from here! Very highly recommended. Actually spend time with customers and help with any questions. Very happy customer
Tanisha at the print shop was super helpful and responsive even though they were super busy. I needed stuff printed last minute for Valentines day and she was a great help. Would recommend!
Really nice, big, relaxed atmosphere shop, with lots of juicy discounts, and fancy art materials and portfolios, with lots of areas where to test the pens etc, helpful staff too.
It's nice to be friendly without fear of being offending. I find the staff tip top and on the ball with knowledge of products and a stock of helpful advice. Being sold art materials by a chicken farmer isn't so helpful, but art materials from an artist is great . Perhaps we should all vote in yoga masters and people who can dance. Cheers LGC I'm yours x
I've been missing Modulor in Berlin, but this place scratches the same itch, with a huge range of art supplies. From pens to printing, bags to rags, there's everything you need and lots you didn't realise you do. Pop in and whip round in ten minutes or be a real geek and look at everything for a good hour!
Great art store in central London. The prices are way lower than the recommended retail price and they have a huge selection of items in all fields of art. The staff are really helpful and the general atmosphere of the shop is very welcoming.
The prices are not competitive nor should the be at this robust graphic supply store. Well curated art supply brands manifest as professional tools and amateur kits for all skill levels. Don't price check, it's not worth it. Spoiler: you're not getting the best price here.
Helpful staff if you're unsure, affordable prices for not so full pockets (competitive in comparison with other renowned art stores), loads of variety for every shade of each product. I keep on coming back!
you can get a very large range of good quality art supplies. they do Pentel, inks , papers, stuff for sculpting, painting, screenprint, copic markers. there's good sales and promotions there regularly.
We got married on the 28th Sept 2013 and wanted to do a lot of the stationery ourselves. We went several times to the LGC (Covent Garden) and every time we went they were very friendly and helpful. The store has a lot of good basic stock of paper etc and the staff are very willing to help out and advise. Excellent!
I like this shop..young studenty staff, friendly and smiley, you get to test pens, of all colours on pads..and the range of cards/sheet paper, etc is bewildering in colour range, styles, grades .! But...not cheap!
Amazing selection of stuff! Only stockiest of Frietag gear that I have seen, great selection of graphics equipment and materials, also offering a student discount on most items.
I ordered through there Amazon shop. And the paint turned up 5 days late and one colour was incorrect and the address was wrong. However there products seem competitively priced and on the couple of times I called them to express my concerns the lady on the phone gave great custimer service and instantly sorted it out the issues and will send the correct colour 1st class. Will definitely use them again as a result.
Very nice, well presented store... Has everything an artist might need but... My gosh they are EXPENSIVE!!!!!. I understand that looking in the area the are located they need to up the prices a bit but by almost robbing patrons from their hard earned money is simply an abomination. Sorry to anyone that feel the have no option but to buy from them simply because they don't know of any other art stores.
As an artist I love coming here. It's pretty large by most art store standards but it's just so easy to browse without getting overwhelmed with the sheer amount of art products that are actually out there. Theres something here for all sorts of budgets too and they have some pretty good discounts too.
Everything for the graphic artist and more. Two floors brimming with wonderful goodies to keep your creative juices flowing... Greatest staff I've met in a store like this, super knowledgeable with their stock & what they can order. Are you a student? If so, ask for your discount.
I absolutely love this shop. In my opinion it is the best place to get art supplies due to just how many options there are and how often they give huge discounts. There is probably every medium you can think of, from oil pastel to acrylic to watercolour to ink to sketchbooks to washi tape and many more. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgable about all the materials they supply. Keep an eye on the notice board (just left of when you walk in) as I saw that a lady just down the road was giving away a free drawing table as she no longer needed it. I took it home on the tube. Quite a tough journey but worth it. There is also information about exhibitions and classes around London. I visit here basically every time I go into Covent Garden.
At the enterance was offered to make a purchase of 25pounds to get a goody bag worth of 80. Made a purchase only to find that the bag was full of cheap stuff and leftovers. It was a student focused sale, greedy way to scam students.
Thanks for completely wasting my day today - Easter Monday showed as "hours might differ" but Sunday is clearly open 12.00 - 5.00pm making me think that whoever supervises your hours on line had remembered to do it. Got there at 1.10pm - completely shut, iron grid down. + had to do journey by bus because of tube closures. Wanted to check frames and then buy on line - no chance now.
Placed an order, got told it would be an extra 7-10 days due to stock shortage. Had to ask for a refund for my postage because of this. on the 10th day I asked when the delivery would come through. got told it would be another 7-10 days. was working on a commission on a canvas which created huge delays. not to happy with not being updated about my order of pens.
I felt very uncomfortable as I sermed to be followed around by a member of staff, presumably to check I wasnt trying to steal anything. Wont return , which is a shame as it used to be my materials shop if choice. Much better places
Wide range of products in this store. the staff is friendly, helpful. I found wandering in this store very enjoyable, the quality of the products obvious. Therefore I guess the prices. There are some good art magazines. This place will put you in a creative mood if anything else!
Poor communication and customer service. Two missing items from an order, no explanation as to why (although my money had already been taken). It took my phone call for them to explain the items would be sent when in stock and somebody would get back to me (which they never did). Now 3 weeks later and I m still yet to receive my items! Only now have I got a response from the company explaining it ll be at least another week until I get my order. Will definitely not use again.
