Have nothing but respect for officers. But giving me a ticket when I had a perfect record for over 30 years and a Vietnam Veteran. Should of got it for impeding traffic at the worst. But swerving in my lane is not considered careless driving. Cause someone swerved in my lane. What would you do.

Pretty sad that they are choosing not to enforce non-essintal business closures during a pandemic, so much for the protect part of protect and serve.

Pretty sad when a particular officer can't follow the laws and does whatever they please. How can anyone think that writing a careless driving ticket for window tint is a correct thing to do. Blows my mind!
These guys are beyond fair and so friendly. Ignore any bad reviews. I missed a letter in the mail for a show of cause hearing and despite having a warrant as a result, the officer came in and very lovingly listen to why I missed my mail and worked with me. I love u guys and thank God I m in a county like this!!!
What police station has working hours? Came numerous times to doors locked, unable to.get assistance. Called 911 for being assulted and it took a deputy over 2.5 hours to get on location. He then took the other persons story due to their cousin being a paramedic in the county, wrote a false report omitting the fact i played a recording of the event for him. Needless to say i have had nothing but negative experiences with this counties deputies and corrupt courts. Its great not getting help when asked then getting set up by the same people. Thanks for not helping me and helping others ruin my life. "To corrupt and enslave"
Absolutely disturbing that your department is protecting an agresor and abuser. A firearm was even involved in one situation, but instead you told the victim she was causing the problems. Looks as if your department feels the victim "had it coming". Your department and especially Deputy Callahan should be ashamed and embarrassed of today's actions.
Extremely poor traffic management. I can understand when they need to shut down freeways due to accidents, but literally trapping thousands of motorists on the shut down thoroughfare is completely unacceptable. Instead of assisting motorist in taking the turnarounds on the roadway by shutting down the left lane in the opposite direction so that the motorist can safely merge, this department had the audacity to block them off. I am only giving this department two stars because I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and ASSUMING they can do a better job of handling smaller emergencies.
I might have overreacted to someone showing up at our door at 9:30pm a couple of weeks ago. We live sort of in the country in Tyrone township and out of no where a man maybe in his thirties wearing a long trenchcoat (was he carrying a gun?) rings our bell. He wanted a ride home. Nothing made sense in the story he told of why he was stranded there! We offered to call the Sheriffs office to get him a ride and he said ok.
We didn't let him in and when the police showed up about 20 minutes later, they could have just picked the man up and left. But the officer
spent some time with us talking. He could see that I was nervous (it's a crazy world I told him). He agreed and reassured us that strange situations occur, but it's usually ok. And just spent some time with us
that I want to say was above his call for duty.

First and foremost, absolutely terrible first impression! Just moved to the area a little while back so I needed to get some stuff done. I already know they won t read this or honestly care based on the arrogance of the officers who work within the sheriffs maze of buildings, and also while reading all the negative reviews. I literally needed to turn in my Pistol Sales Record. Very easy and would require little time, so I thought. Spoke to a gal on the phone who told me they closed at 5pm, etc etc. I get there at 3:40pm and after going to a couple of buildings and dealing with the incompetent individuals, I find out the one I need to be at. Walk up to the doors at 4:20 to find the building closed. Hmm, that s strange. Online says you close at 5pm. Lady on phone told me 5pm. Website says 5pm. So, close early and don t tell anyone? Real nice. As I m sitting there in my vehicle I watch another individual try entering the building and I explain to him they are apparently closed. We then watch an employee walk out of the locked doors and I ask why they closed and he shrugs his shoulders and goes I don t know and walks off. Real nice. Excellent service you provide for this community. Mind as well move back to Wayne County, where the cops surprisingly know how to do their jobs correctly to service the community.
Had property stolen on Easter Sunday. Tried calling all week and left messages for the police officer to add the serial numbers for two stolen computers, so they could be added into Lien. Called today (Saturday) and talked to dispatch. She informed me he won t be back until Monday. I said well that sucks I m trying to get these added into the report Incase they are being sold at a pawn shop or something. Stated well i hope my stuff isn t being sold by then. She replied hopefully not and didn t offer for another officer or anything to take information. I stated well it s obvious no one cares at your department. She said yep have a good day. Just moved over to howell about 9 months ago. Heard this sheriffs dept was a joke, never ever would have guessed it was this bad. My parents were both police officers for 25 plus years each. They would be ashamed to know this is how this department operates.
