Littleton Coin Company Review

Seller Beware!!! My experience is this company is untrustworthy. My inventory per their web site prices was $12,000+- but their offer to purchase same inventory was $1,000+-. While their purchase offer may have been accurate per metal prices, their offer was insulting per collectible values as defined by their own web site. Seller Beware!!!

I have not received this order as of today (May 08, 2020), thus I cannot provide a review. You sent this email asking for a review and asking if I had
received the order. I didn't even get a email from you stating that it had been shipped. I'm confused and the other orders I made show that they are still "processing" whatever that means. So, there is only one(1) star and will likely be more to follow because you show my other orders to be still processing.

Thank you for your response to my concern. There are no more problems.

Tried to order a coin and was told I could not because I didn't qualify for the purchase because of their coins on approval service. When I was younger they sent these coins on approval to the wrong address, billed me for them, and I refused to pay. The matter was resolved and now they won't let me make another purchase. Don't order from their coins on approval because they are a scam

Great products, great customer service! Our family has been collecting coins for 40 years and always purchased from LIttleton Coin Company.

First time buyer got screwed. Used a coupon I received in the mail by them that said buy one set of presidential dollars get another set of different ones free. I recived one set and another set of coins that I ethiered had to pay extra to keep or mail back. What kind of company tricks people into useing a coupon, doesn't hold up their end of the coupon, then forces them to pay more for things they sent you. Or force you to mail them back merchandise after you have bought something from them under false pretenses. I do not recommend buying from them solely because of their unwillingness to hold up their own coupons, I wish I had my money back.

Coins arrived promptly, are exactly as advertised, and at a good price.

Online ordering was fast and easy. I found exactly what I wanted in minutes, and placed the order. Shipping was fast, but the shipper was so very slow in delivering my order (7-10 days). My experience was excellent, except for the speed of the shipper and lack of tracking used to deliver my order.

The prices are always absurdly high, often 2-3 times other coin dealers. I have no idea how they ve stayed in business.

Will be ordering 2 more sets, soon.

I thought I ordered a Denver mint America The Beautiful Quarter and instead got a Sacramento one, will have to reorder I guess. Am not collecting Sacramento.

I have been purchasing coins through Littleton for years. As a child back when their rewards program were on paper certificates (which sadly I never got to use because I misplaced them in one of my moves). Then in Houston after I moved and got settled in. Then after I came back to Ohio. I am currently in one of their club programs that I am enjoying being a member of and letting my rewards build up (thank goodness they are electronically tracked by them now) to redeem for an item that I do not have in my collection. Their customer service is always great. I requested a limit on the dollar amount to ship to me to fit my budget and they have followed it pretty good. The one time that they did exceed it they were apologetic and we worked it out together. I do agree with the other comments that I read about being a bit pricey but I also realize that I am not using a lot of gas having to search the coin dealerships without knowing that they will actually have what I am looking for. Plus it is a whole lot easier having my albums in front of me while I am ordering in the comfort of my home.

My order was delivered quickly and packaging was in great shape. Littleton takes great care of their customers. Very happy!

It's a great opportunity to shop at home to add to your mature collection. I find the subscription services work best for the collections which are not so mature.

Everything was quite simple from start to finish, I'm pleased with my order, product, and value overall. Great Transaction.

I had a poor experience with the quality of the 10x magnifying glass, that took 3 lithium watch batteries. Littleton sent me the UltraOptix 7x Aspheric LED Lighted as a substitute. This magnifying glass is superior to the other magnifying glass, and used standard Triple A batteries. The little watch batteries sprung out of the 10x, and left everything in pieces. I am happy!

Good morning I'm from India I have old coins. I want to sale with u. But don't pay any fees

They are keeping sending me coins that I don't even been aware. I have to send it back for expensive shipping cost.This makes me so upset. Never start to buy anything from them, once you start it would be a nightmare. They will keep sending you coins without asking you. Then you either have to buy or pay expensive shipping to send it back . It really waste both of your time and money.

Way overpriced coins... Do your homework and get the same shape coins on eBay for half the price.

Coins were as expected bu the holder was very flimsy-one area was creased in shipment, not sure how long it will hold up.

Order came 2 days ago in a quite Quickly. I am a rather small time buyer but will use Littleton in the future.

I am positive that I did not sign up for or consent to Littleton's "coins-on-approval" program when I placed my order. However, they sent me coins I didn't ask for and billed me for them anyway. This is a shady business practice.

Absolutely deplorable company. Will not stop sending unwanted coins and expecting to be paid for them. They don't send paid return shipping labels. Have sent numerous letters asking them to cancel service and still they send coins. Lady at customer service was RUDE and unhelpful. I'm done sending the stuff back..i'll bet they stop sending stuff if they aren't getting money for it. DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE!

Littleton Coin Company has quality products at reasonable prices and delivers your purchases quickly.

Coins are EXTREMELY expensive. Coins that could be bought their could be bought for HALF the price at other coin dealers.

They have an easy website to order from which makes it great for shopping.

The case was a little different than I expected. I thought it would be one of those hard plastic cases that snap together but it was a soft plastic, kind of tacked together. Coin looks good though and It's nice to have something for baby's 1st Christmas.
