the best seafood in palm beach county. a funky little spot in a strip mall off military rd. an eccletic collection of craft beers and a wide array of fresh fish, all creatively prepared. portions are large, and the price is reasonable. i almost hope the word doesn't spread, just so i don't have to wait long for a table.

This place is indescribable! Sensory overload! The food, the chefs, the staff, the atmosphere...out of this world! My fix, for 8 years now. Will forever be my happy place <3

Today I purchased Queen Snapper and I have eaten at Food Shack and Left Overs many times but the Queen Snapper is the most delicious fish I have ever eaten in my entire life. Whenever I see Queen Snapper I am definitely going to be buying it. I'm positive others will not prepare it as tasty as Food Shack does but it is definitely the best fish. Over the past 10 years I have tried just about every fish I could get my hands on and this is by far the best. Food Shack makes the best seafood anywhere in the world or at least in the 17 coastal countries I've visited. The owner Mike has mastered the seafood dish and his chef's know exactly what they're doing. You will not find a restaurant with better sauces, preparation, side dishes, and desserts. If you're in the Jupiter area this is the only place to eat when it comes to seafood and honestly even if you don't want seafood they can prepare other dishes that will blow you away. If dinner is too expensive try going for lunch. I highly suggest the Sweet Potato crusted fish especially Queen, Silk, Yellowtail, Red Snapper or Goldentile, Trippletail, Corvina or many others. Grouper used to be my favorite and depending on what I want I sometimes get that blackened with the sauce that comes with the Sweet Potato fish. Sweet potato crusted fish comes over a salad but I prefer to get the sweet potato fish over coconut rice with a side of plantains.

No wonder the lines are out the door, what an awesome place. A whole special menu every day based on what's available. I enjoyed the primavera seafood bowl. Piping hot and spiced perfectly, seafood cooked perfectly as well. Grouper cheek appetizer was off the hook, should've ordered as an entre. Service was attentive and prompt. Thanks Ethan.

My husband and I go here often and we love the variety and interesting flavors to all the dishes. We used their catering company for our wedding back in February and the food was excellent. Wedding guests keep mentioning how much they loved the hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and the entrees as well! The servers were polite and did a great job getting everyone their plates. Even the bartender they provided did a excellent job. Everyone was happy with all the service and all the food. Their executive chef, Drew Shimkus, did a fantastic job meeting our flavor expectations. I even loved the salad he prepared for our wedding, it was delicious and definitely not the typical boring salads. Thank you!

UNIQUE MENU BEWARE. Great food but a very unique menu for the fancy people. They will offer a more simple fish and chips if you ask. A local favorite with a menu that changes twice a day, every day. Knowledgeable staff. Bottle domestic beers $5, dinner $25-$35 a person.

Delicious daily specials... everytime we visit from out of town it has never failed to be a highlight stop. Hidden in a strip mall this is a gem stop for fresh fish cooked perfectly and creativly. Yummy for sure!

Don't tell your friends or neighbors how good this place is. It's busy enough already. You or me just won't be able to get back in until 3 pm which is the time we had to select to be there. Other than the outstanding food, service and prices :-) this place is terrible, spread the word

We are in Florida for a week every winter. Of the 6 days this year, we had 4 lunches and 1 dinner there. The food is fresh, creative and delicious. We always sit at the counter at lunch to watch all the goodies being cooked. Casual but best food ever!

Best restaurant in Jupiter! We had the tuna basil app, Indoroni and sweet potato crusted fish. A-MAZING. My only regret is not saving room for dessert!

Names can be deceiving and while its located in a strip mall and the atmosphere maybe laidback back and fish shackish the food the food is more like you d fine in a fine dining restaurant. And, at a great price. The staff are welcoming, helpful, prompt to serve, and all follow smart covid19 protocols. We re now raving fans.

I travel the world and eat in the 'best' restaurants. Food Shack is my favorite! The place is amazing. The unique combinations of flavors, can't say enough. The world is moving to standardization and monotony and Food Shack keeps it real. Leave room for Key Lime Pie after the therapy bowl- off the charts.

The lion fish was the best fish I ever tasted! Sweet like hog fish and cooked to perfection. Every thing I ever ate there was amazing!

Food was amazing! Boat tour guide recommended Food Shack over the touristy places, so glad we took his advice! The calamari appetizer on rice was so unusual and delicious, same for the mussels! Also had the wrap, yum! This place definitely earns its high reviews, skip the tiki bar places and try it!

I ate a a bunch of really good resturaunts during the week, but this was my favorite. The selection of fresh fish and unique preparation was outstanding. Sweet potato or coconut crusted fish were both amazing, and the live band Jamzilla kept us there having drinks even after dinner.

Food Shack is a small restaurant with an open kitchen. Overflow seating is available at Maxi s Lineup. I ve never had a meal I didn t love here. It s my favorite restaurant in town. I recommend the indoroni mac & cheese and the sweet potato crusted fish preparation. The ever-changing daily specials are so unique and fresh. You won t find them anywhere else!

Delicious food with sharing portion sizes which is great so you can sample several tasty treats! The Tuna and Basil roll was spicy but quite delicious and the coconut rice was creamy and light flavored to compliment any meal. All the seafood is fresh and prepared to order. They even graciously accommodated my daughter's peanut allergy. The waitstaff is friendly and their service is outstanding! Cozy, thematic atmosphere and food with a real Floridian flair. A must visit!

Sadly the meals weren't ad good. Korean bowl was swimming in sauce. My wife's Crab was soaked in butter/grease. Very disapointed.

Found this place after getting the tip from a local. Its hidden in a strip mall and serves awewome and healthy seafood. Really enjoyed our lunch here.

Fun atmosphere with live music. Food prices were reasonable for the area, and great craft beers for $5. All the staff was super friendly, and several other families with little ones running around.
Must try the BBQ brussel sprouts, they're amazing. The shack bowl seemed confused about what it wanted to be.

I got the corvina with this amazing butternut squash crust and salad and it was amazing! Expensive but sooo worth it. The portion was huge and I might have complained except I ate it all! Every last crumb! I couldn t help it. Seriously good food. I got it takeout but looks like it would have been a fun place to eat at. Next time!

This restaurant' menu jumped out at us as we were looking for food on or return from South Florida and we are SO glad we made the detour.
The menu is chocked full of culinary delights and the daily specials are another full legal sheet of paper hand written with the freshest catches and the chef's most imaginary creations.
Do not pass up the sweet and sour gluten free stew on the menu. We thought it was even more tastier than the signature sweet potato encrusted fish filet.
And leave room to SHARE an enormous portion of dessert. Any one you choose will be delicious.

Actually, I'm next door at maxi's Lineup. Same owner, it's the hippest place in town. Great food, funky, excellent service, friendly. Get here early, no reservations.
