This is the second day my mother has been at this hospital and for some reason they forgot to serve her dinner. How do you forget to feed a patient who s been there for 2 days? And, this smart mouth nurse named Kim, decided to get smart with my mom, who s 77 years old! I also spoke with the charge nurse Jenn who decided to give me the silent treatment as I explained the situation! I m a RN and have had overwhelming situations to occur while on duty, but forgetting to feed my patients, NEVER! Who are these people!!! I only pray that their loved ones never get a nurse like them!
Staff are kind and courteous but overall seems to be understaffed which makes it difficult for anyone to do their job in a timely and accurate manner. This used to be my hospital of choice. The cost cuts OSF has made under the guise of passing the savings onto the patients have ruined it. I ll not be returning. Hope our bills reflect the savings. I ll wait for the generic auto generated response that every other bad review received. Really wish my full review would fit here. I ll surely be letting OSF know the full story.
All these bad reviews seems to go on forever. Don t blame the staff, they can only do what they can. They are so short staffed!!! But then again all hospitals are short staffing? Why?
You have Great Er Staff and A few Great Hospitalist Doctors. Some great RN, CNA's and staff. but for the most part there are Nurses, Doctors , CNA that give OSF a bad rep. Not communicating with eachother with patients care. Not following orders and knowing when to call the doctor's to get clerifacation on orders. Not following P.O.A protocol. Not giving meds at the right time. Neglecting patients. Saying rude and inappropriate comments to patients.
It was the Little Company of Mary Hospital so I know this hospital very well. I was born there!
Charmaine is the BEST PHYSICAL THERAPIST IN TOWN! SHE HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY - HER PERSONALITY IS WONDERFUL...SHE IS PATIENT, KIND AND AN OVERALL SWEET PERSON! A debt of gratitude is in order FOR HELPING ME THROUGH MY JOURNEY TO BETTER HEALTH!
Went to the ER 8/13 at 2:30pm. Was finally able to see a doctor and get fluids (due to extreme dehydration) the next morning at about 1 am and was admitted because of low oxygen levels. That Sunday 8/15 in the evening, I was released to go home on steroids (in which they didn t send my prescription over) and everything was rushed. They tested my levels once before I left and they were still low but proceeded to basically throw me out. I was rushed back to a different hospital that Monday 8/16 at 3 in the morning because I still couldn t breathe in which they said Little Company of Mary, should ve never let me leave and go home in the first place. If I could sue, I would and I m thinking about it. Would NOT recommend.
Brought a friend on chemo therapy to the Emergency room worse experience of my life. She was sent here by her oncologist who was worried she could have a blood clot or a problem with her heart and we have been waiting 7 hours for a room totally ridiculous if they don t have room send us to another hospital. She is weak with blood pressure very low. I have been to many hospitals and would not send my worse enemy here.
Called to schedule an appointment, and the lady who answered was rude. She answered, this is the hospital, but didn't give me a chance to say what appointment I needed, even if it is a hospital, didn't direct me to the right department, just hung up without saying anything when I asked for the womens client. Won't be coming here, I will go somewhere else. Thanks for not wasting my time.
