One of the most pathetic service and doctors don t care. Waited 2 hours and NOT ONE Doctor came to see me . Waited in the room door another 30 minutes NO DOCTOR !

Good Hospital with all or most services offered.
It has a separate ficility that deals with Maternity for the ladies, called Linkwood.
Be carefull when parking your car at the medical suites parking, makes sure that your vehicle is locked as there is not much movement around that area except when cars are coming in and out.
I was in Ward E Linksfield hospital for 10 days, being discharged on Friday last week. I have nothing but praise for the Staff. I was treated to well and with loving compassion, and can only thank them from the bottom of my heart. Many, many thanks.
Casualty is a joke. 4 people in the waiting room and over an hour to wait for triage to see us, before we in the queue to see a doctor. No order whatsoever. Thought I was in a government hospital. Pathetic service
Parking is a huge problem. On a positive note it is a great hospital with great specialists and doctor's hence why it is so busy. Well worth driving around a bit looking for parking knowing your loved one's are in good hands. My mind at ease. My husband is well looked after. Thank you Linksfield staff :)
Thought i should add my comment, i was admitted last year in the maternity ward (Linkwood Hospital) and i can't complain. My gynae was amazing (Dr Dehinbo) , the nurses and the lady who brings food to the wards was excellent. The maternity suites, i was happy.
This year in May i go to casualty (Linksfield) as i had injured my ankle, guess what? Only one doctor on duty, there were no porters, i waited for hours to be assisted.
I am giving a four star rating only because of linkwood.
ICU has best care .
Thanks Geneva and Zinhle and many more!
Wonderful staff, very helpful, clean environment and good qualified doctor's. Well organized and the food is great. Keep up the good work.
Good specialists at this hospital. Polite and caring attitude when dealing with them
Linksfield clinic is really a very unpleasant hospital.
I spent 4 nights in Ward D with my 10 and half month old baby.
The staff are below average and everything is such a effort.
The food is shocking and i can't believe that they serve that.
The aircon has no remote, so you have to stand on the bed to turn it on or off.
The electronic thermometer was broken for almost 2 days. There should be another on standby.
Very few tv remotes worked, i had to go around the whole ward looking for one that worked.
The standard is shocking and really Netcare you should be embarrassed.
I was scheduled to give birth at Bedford Gardens hospital on the 4th of May 2020.
I was instructed by my gynae (Dr. Indra Ramsamy) that should I go into early labour during the lockdown period that I must come to Linkwood hospital instead and that all co-payments are waived by Discovery during this time. Please note the only reason I came to Linkwood was because of this instruction. I wanted and was prepared and set to give birth at Bedford Gardens.
On Sunday 26/04/2020 I started having contractions.
I got in touch with Dr. Ramsamy and was instructed to go to Linkwood and get checked by the nurses.
When my husband and I arrived at Linkwood we went straight to the maternity ward. There were 3 nurses at the desk, none of which who greeted us or offered any sort of assistance until we asked.
Eventually, one lady sauntered off her chair and directed me to a room. They didn't give my husband any sort of recognition except telling him he had to go to the main hospital to book us in - I still didn't know whether I was actually in labour or not.
Soon the nurse did an internal inspection and told me I was in early labour and we were going to theatre. No other explanation - nothing about how far I was dilated or any other info.
At the main hospital, the admin kept insisting to my husband that he had to pay a co-payment of R8400 - it took our gynae speaking to reception directly and informing them of Discovery's notice that there was no co-payment to be paid. This was about 9pm on a Sunday night with him stressing out that he may miss the birth of his second child. So let me point out that staff on a ground-level do not know what is going on in their own place of work for one, and are incredibly uncaring for another.
My child was born and had to be sent to NICU. During his stay there again there was a nurse who acted as though my husband was dirt off her shoe. She was more tolerant of me but I think only because she had to be. It was a highly unpleasant feeling we could not speak to one of the 2 nurses who was taking care of our son.
Same with the information received - unless we hunted high and low and eventually ended up calling the specialist ourselves, we got no info.
At night the ward was noisy with nurses shouting or laughing loudly.
I was woken each day at 4am with a cleaner coming into the room even when I asked to be left to rest and that they come in at a better hour.
I am severely traumatised by this experience and as such will not be returning to Linkwood unless absolutely necessary.
This is a sad state of affairs as my first child was born there too and it was a much better experience. I'm not sure what's happened in the past 2.5 years but many of the staff come across as indifferent and cold - not something you want to be associated with a place of care.
Great staff, very courteous and caring. Clean and modern equipment. The older side could do with some serious upgrades and modernising on the structural part. For a private hospital and a semi private ward, my bathroom did not even have a handbasin and no shower. Only a very badly stained bath and a fair to decent toilet. Not up to private standards. Walls and floors looking quite shabby. Food was very sparse and not the best tasting and definitely not made to encourage the palette(sic ).
But the crisp and clean bed linen and the exceptionally considerate staff and the general attitude definitely made up for the "not -so-private-look!". I was in hospital for surgery and to recover and get medical attention after all, not in a hotel on holiday!
I had to visit the casualty department at Linksfield Hospital last week. The service I received from everyone there was truly efficient, professional and caring.
I agree. Service wise, absolutely fantastic! I went there with a heavy infection and could not stop bleeding. They squeezed me in to make sure I get the help I need.
We need more hospitals like this.
The staff were truly caring & concerned about their patients...very modern equipment!!
Worse service received from Dr Michael Brian Huth. Threatening, no bedside manner, arrogant. Ivan I du Preez
Night shift staff are rude ! And it was an effort to do anything !
The hospital is n great place with great doctors.BUT the radiology dept 2 receptionists are very rude, and makes the experience unpleastent. They talk about you like you are not even in the room.I know nothing will be done about this.
I went in yesterday with chest pains. I cant praise them enough and Dr Patel was my Dr.
He got to the root of the problem. service was quick and efficent by himself and his staff
Netcare linksfield hospital is the best, their nurses and staff are friendly, always willing to assist with smile, non - judgemental.h
Cleaner stole my brother s R6000 headphones from his own bed whilst he went to the loo!! Disgusting
Emergency room staff were amazing last night. My daughter and 2 of her friends were in an accident 10.02.20. The staff on night duty were amazing. Big big thank you to all. Sorry didn't take ylls names.
Excellent Doctors & Nurses. Clean and organized. Very friendly and just in my opinion, one of the best hospitals!
Best hospital in Gauteng with the best nurses and doctors
Emergency service is SLOW AND TERRIBLE - doctors don t know what s happening, let alone with patients!
Government hospital may even be better...
Brought my 16 year old son in with chest pains at 18.10 , did triage at 18:20. An hour later still waiting to see a dr. Reception staff Phazen Mashishi and team could only explain that they have just changed shifts and that there are 3 more patients before dr attends to my son. Yet when my husband enquired at 18.50 and he was told only 2 patients. At 19.25 im called to sign a consent form...i think this is a total shame for a private medical eventually left at 19:40 as we were still just waiting...
Dr CJ Meltzer so pleasant and helpful. Staff polite, kind and efficient. Hospital very clean and tidy. 10/10 Thank you Linksfield, hope all hospitals are fighting their way back to the brilliant places they were 20 years ago, does my heart good to see such improvements.
Tea and coffee served only early morning and late evening is not good enough, mid morning and mid afternoon also woukd be greatly appreciated.
Having needed the services of the Emergency Department in this facility on both 6th and 7th December 2018, I was impressed with the expediency in the front reception and then exceptional professionalism from Dr. Meltzer, all the other medical experts, sisters, nurses, etc. Well done.
Had my daughter in the Paediatric ward. Brilliant staff and doctor Nyasulu was awesome.
My personal experience has been super. I delivered my first baby here. It was a C Section. My doctor Dr Dheshni Naidoo and the staff are just amazing. Highly recommended.
One of the better Netcare facilities. Convenient location for my family and friends. A community hospital with excellent health care and specialist Surgeons. Doctors consulting rooms on the premises.
Their emergency department is clueless and badly managed. They misdiagnosed my friend and refused to admit her following a car accident. She was sent home with a fracture on her spine. Beware of Dr Patel!
My car was jacked and laptop bag stolen from the car boot including laptop and other valuables. There are no security cameras in the parking area and security personnel were acting irresponsible about the incident.
A private hospital that serves absolutely disgusting and tasteless food to its patients.
Waiting time for a child with a high fever And neck pain - has been 3 + hours with people who are rather fit and fine coming in 2 hours after us but being taken in way before us.
It's a very nice place and its good and the best hospitil in town
The sisters in oncology care are extremely rude. They never bring medicine on time. Often I would arrive at the hospital and my mother is in agony because her medicine has not been brought to her. My mother sat without oxygen for 45min because they simply "Had no stock". These are just a few grievances, there are many more. Disgusting.
I have been employed by Netcare as a theatre porter at Linksfield Hospital for over 11 years now and absolutely LOVE my obligation to the company
This is the most atrocious hospital I have ever visited in my life. I don't even know where to start with my anger and frustration. Every aspect of this hospital is horrendous and I would not even go to this establishment if it was the last hospital on earth.
There is no parking whatsoever, I usually drive around for +/-15 minutes looking for parking.
The lack of parking made me miss the visiting hours for the pediatric ward and so the security guard posted at the door would not let me in. No concession could be made for me even though the reason for tlmy tardiness was the fact that I simply could not find anywhere to park and when I did find parking I had to walk up from the bottom of the parking to the single entrance to the hospital.
A family member came out of the ward to greet me and when I started expressing my feelings for the events that had just transpired the guard had a change of heart. As soon as I said I was going to give the hospital a bad review he stepped in to say I can come in now. Disgusting.
Speaking of disgusting when my father was in ICU we found a cockroach inside the ICU. And not a small one either. I thought the ICU was a sterile environment?! At every other hospital I have been to I remove my ring, bracelet and watch when entering the ICU, I did the same here when I nurse asked me why I was doing that?!
The nurses are also an issue here as they almost always are unhappy to help patients in need. The basic requirement for a nurse. However there are standout nurses like in ward G, if I recall correctly where my Girlfriend was treated with the utmost care and compassion. But their good work is over shadowed by the members of the nursing staff like those in ward E. My 2 sister-in-laws were both admitted to this ward on the same day. They were placed in rooms on opposite sides of the ward even though there were rooms in the ward at that stage that were totally empty. My mother-in-law had to have massive argument with the ward manager to have the sisters placed in the same room.
The only saving grace this hospital has is the NetCafe. The food here is passable at its worst however I have had some very nice meals here. They are however very expensive.
I will end by saying that I sincerely hope that the Hospital management read this and begin to make the relevant changes to improve the hospital rather than disregard my comments or delete my review entirely.
When a stroke patient doesnt get treated for a stroke because the doctor is lazy on the weekend and just wants to go home so says its a migraine when its clearly a stroke! Absolutely pathetic. Doctors are non existant when there. Patients are upset and treated badly and there is a high chance someone will go in there for a foot operation and end up dead. Doctors need empathy classes as they are rude and speak as if on stimulants!
Did not have a good experience with Linksfield hospital at all. Been trying to get hold of somebody in the Management Department for days.
Got to the conclusion that there is no Management Department or they only work half day .
Very disappointed in Linksfield Hospital.
I went there today to book for a bed, pre-admission that I had already done online but wanted to be sure. The lady at reception was so rude to me i didn't understand what was her problem to a point were she even told me that she's not the one who is going to deliver my baby so I shouldn't be asking her too many questions. And she said that in venac Sesotho.I was so shocked I had to ask some questions from the male receptionist who was just sitting there. I have now decided to go book a bed at life bedfordview. I have to change everything starting from medical aid authorization. Not happy at all.
The health care facility is awesome and the service is not bad either.
I had to ask for my medication from the nurse on duty one evening. The nurse became aggressive and nasty, subsequently I find out she did not send the script to the pharmacy. I got my meds at 10.45pm. The air con in the room has no remote, you have to stand on the bed to reach the switch on and off. They attempted to fix it but instead removed the switch so at the moment it's a fridge. There are certain groups or shifts of nurses that are decent but the others truly did not choose the occupation because they care about people. They are rude, dismissive and have no bedside manner. They seem to hate their jobs.
The hospital is great but the Radiology dept receptionists are unpleasant
Had two bad experiences in a row at their emergency department. I had to wait for almost 2 hours for a pethidine injection when I had a haematoma after hip replacement, and this was misdiagnosed which resulted in me needing surgery the next day.
On another occasion I waited for over 2 hours while having severe stomach pains, 2 people walked out despite being in pain as they were waiting for so long.
Shocking service and no feedback to patients.
Netcare do not care at all!
I have been to Linksfield Clinic on many occasions. I have always felt welcome by friendly and professional staff. What great service I have received. I have always been informed by the medical staff about my procedures and what to expect. Thanks to all for making my experience great.
The medical and nursing care are great. However, if you need to find out how your relative is from afar, keep wishing - communication is poor, with the exception of one orthopaedic surgeon (who's a brilliant surgeon and communicator) and one anaethetist (but sadly not based at Linksfield on a regular basis).
Spent 4 hours at casualty, only when u complain will u get attention as to when u will be attended too, management needs to step up, improve the level of service and staff including doctors, I can't pay so much money just to have a Panado script, by the way things are, u have lost me to Meltzer who paid attention to detail, the guy was through and at some point he gave me his cell to contact him and tell him about the treatment his put me on
Clean place, super friendly staff. Admission took a while due to a computer mistake but once that was settled things went smoothly.
You wait for hours at casualty, even when there aren't that many people waiting. There is no systematic process to the waiting either. The Hospital is also filthy, and the staff are rude and unfriendly.
Very expensive then leave you sitting in pain waiting. No word as to what's going on. Very slow service. Shocking!
I continue to be amazed at the wonderful way I have been treated in this Hospital. I arrived at 6am for the removal of a pin / staple from my previous knee operation here a year ago, and from that moment onwards the professionalism, friendliness and care was first class throughout.
Ward F, I wish I could afford to buy you all flowers because each of you were wonderful, I can honestly say the two operations I have had at Netcare Linksfield were made so much easier and happier occasions by this wonderful group of Receptionists, Nurses and Porters etc.
Of course Dr. Ponky Firer, Dr. de Beer and my Biokineticust Kyla were also quite stunning.
10 0ut of 10 for everyone today- cannot find one thing to criticise or moan about !! Quite marvelous really
Henry Matthew's x x x x x
The clicks store is open 24/7 and there prices are not inflated like most hospital pharmacies
Great nurses with great personalities.. Really make you feel at home
Don't bother trying to reach Pre Admissions. Of the multitude of times I have tried calling, they either didn't answer at all, or at times I could hear someone take the call, but I was simply redirected, would go back to ringing in my ear without any acknowledgement whatsoever.
I was admitted to ICU last week. Taken in by ambulance. Casualty outstanding - special thanks to fantastic Dr Minkowitz and Sister Mickie. (Michaela). Admitted to ICU which is brilliant. Staff outstanding, but a special thankyou to Lendalanie (male nurse assigned to care for me one night) what a lovely, caring, diligent nurse. You are the best! Unfortunately, often found the toilet seat and floor covered in urine. Dr Salitan - cardiologist was so very kind and caring and he looked after me like gold. I did unfortunately find that they did not take my glucose readings as often as they should have. (I am diabetic). The food was awful. Shocking menu, same every day for the time I was there and it was terrible with tiniest helpings. If I'm ever in that hospital again, i will order kosher food in order to avoid that slop. I.have been in linksfield Clinic in the past and the food was really good. Was in Bedford Clinic in March and their food was excellent. I'm not a fussy eater! Overall, great hospital, great doctors and great nursing staff
I would give a higher rating however, the general admin staff and nursing staff are horrifically rude, whether it's over the phone or face to face.
Was there on an emergency and the Doctors, nurses, support staff are all amazing. Informative, compassionate and willing to assist without wasting time.!!
The two nurses sitting at reception are unbelievable! The one is so busy on her cell she ignores patients waiting to have their temperatures taken When she eventually CONDESCENDED to look up, her bad temper and impatience were palpable. The poor elderly man, with 2 hearing aids, standing next to me, couldn't hear properly through their masks. How I wish I had thought to video the way he was treated. Linksfield has a dreadful reputation, notwithstanding the excellent doctors.
Shocking care from the casualty, ever since its run by new owners its really gone down. My husband was really sick last night and they honestly just d if't care he's fever was really high battled to breathe and there was just no care in the world nurses are incompetent and doctors have no idea what they are doing...
The emergency room is always under staffed, which makes an already stressful experience worse. Staff could also use some customer service training.
Thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave while I'm there 6 days , special thanks to all staff in ICU and in ward G for taking an amazing care of me , I'll miss you guys alot .
The High care facility is run flawlessly and all is well there. The normal wards, however, are below average, the staff are rude and everything is done with so much effort and begging.
Helpful very bright friendly hospital. Only complaint is parking can get full quick, but i see they are working on that. Main thing is they took care of the health of my family member and couldn't be happier.
The receptionist isn't so good, they take too long, and there's certain doctors charging cash and don't have that machine for card payment, so we had to go to the main building, again, there's not atm machine for all the major banks , it's embarrassing !!!
The chemistry there is also strange, it's says Clicks but it actually only a small part Clicks
Some restrooms were smelly and not so clean , we had to report at the doctor's receptionist
It wasn't a very pleasant experience there
