Be prepared to turn around if you aren't White. It happened to me and my friends couple of times. The front door gaurds starts by saying it's ticket only. If you showed the ticket, they will say its student and you have to show the student ID. Again, if you pop-up your Student ID, they said not tonight.

I say I hate it. But yet to see really anything wrong with it. People are great. Atmosphere is great. The price is great. Music seems repetitive but overall it's a good experience to have.

If this was a review of the place in 2005 I would write an amazing 5 star review talking madly about how its a great venue and one of the places to go to in Belfast. It is however 2018 and that sadly is not the case. On top of that, it has all been done up - for someone who lives abroad this was very strange entering a bar (Katy Dalys, owned by same group) next door only to find everything had changed. When I asked for the lunch menu the bar girl told me "We''ve never ever served food here." ...So I dreamt all those pub grub lunches I had in there 10 years ago twice a week. Its ...different now, maybe nostalgia has killed the place for me, but its not somewhere I would return too any more, it feels like it has lost its character and feels soulless now, compared to what it had 10 years ago. Times and people move on.

Disappointing to be honest door staff rude and obnoxious don't like the look of people that are genuine nice people go every other week with couples and the one night you want to have a boys night out and they won't let you in all because they are having a bad night poor poor service

Simple place the location seems nothing too different, a big place to dance but the music is not always great in my opinion. Gets too crowded and the entrance is not at the best location, drinks are at an average price and it's mostly designed for very young people

Terrible.. Disinterested staff.. Rubbish venue for music.. Sound was awful..bar shut at least half an hour before main act was over..approx 9.30pm.. everyone had to go to another tiny little bar in order to get served.. We weren't allowed back into Katy Daly's..which is part of the same bar complex... Essentially what seems to be happening is they host some rock bands from time to time. They are happy to take the money from these dedicated fans up until they want rid of them.. approx 9.30pm. They then heard them out so that they can get ready for their night clubbers..Its a total money racket.. I presume they then dont want the rock crowd back in the Katy Dalys bar.. probably the wrong image and perhaps the tiny boppers spend more money on the WKD's etc.. whatever the reason they have some muppett refusing entry to anyone leaving the gig. Totally wrecked the night for me.. I had travelled 70 miles and booked an overnight stay to see this band, Mastodon. They are a major international act and what a disgrace these idiots are allowed to host the gig..

Always good for live music and a friendly atmosphere. Queue to get drinks on a busy night can be time consuming and can take away from you seeing the band you ve paid to see. Floor is very sticky hence the mop patrol always out in force.

Came here to see Devin Townsend playing live in Limelight 1. Staff were flat-out busy but swift to serve at the bar. Stayed only for the duration of the gig but found the venue to be quite well managed. Only drawback from the whole place was the extremely slow/underpowered hand-drier in the mens bathroom! Looking at more gigs to attend here.

Firstly the bouncer turned me down even when I had ID, eventually got in with bankcards as further proof of identity, music choice isn't to my taste and the mixing was absolutely horrible, so it wasn't great.

My go to place on a Saturday night out in Belfast!! Sometimes the bouncers can be a bit rude but I guess it's expected after dealing with some of the ones they'd see throughout the night. Great overall vibe, music's great (choice of a few different rooms on a Saturday), smoking area is also very nice and bar staff are too quality!

Love this club, good music and good atmosphere. However I went on a Saturday night (usually good) and the bouncers kicked out my friend for "being too drunk". He's a teetotaller so wasn't drunk, but he's from Turkey and has dark skin. Maybe I'm putting 2&2 together and getting 5, but it was a very upsetting incident and hard not to think it was racially motivated. At the very least Limelight have opened themselves up to the accusation of racist door policies.

When they describe the limelight as no frills they aren't exaggerating. We are at Paddy Raff and looking forward to a brilliant performance but just used toilets and they are filthy. No toilet roll in in most of the cubical. Dirty as well, there were feces on one toilet and poor lighting with bulbs blown. Disgusting

Best venue for live gigs and rock music every Saturday night! 3 venues, include limelight 1 formally known as spring & air break, Katy Dailies & Limelight 2. If live gigs and rock music are your thing then this is the place for you!

Really really had fun during the Lany concert and had fun dancing and drinking at Katy's Pub @ Limelight! Felt that the security is doing their job really well and felt safe when we were having fun there.

A Belfast classic, that has been took over by shine. It still has all the classics from yester year, the rock is still played! But added bonus of great guest for gigs, including stormzy! Run the jewels and many more! All different types of music, even the likes of the the orb have played. Northern Irelands biggest student night sketchy which started at stiff kitten, is here as well. Promising you many sing a long classics! All in all a great wee place. Sadly not alot of cider!

Beer Garden- Amending review as I have now been in different parts. Limelight Room 2 was amazing. They had a DJ and you can request songs, not guaranteed to play it depends on the djs mood haha. Service was quick mainly if they don't forget your order. Definitely recommend the vodka slushie. Free pizza was also handed out at around 7pm which made it so much better. One of the staff was very friendly and funny. Made the night so much more enjoyable. Great atmosphere definitely recommend going.

As someone who has spend many a mis spent day and night in this place over a lot of years.. I can honestly say that the bar has lost some of its charm. It's the little things that made Katy's and the limelight what is was be it the jukebox in Katy's or the old door staff on the limelights doors ... or the pub quiz.. just doesn't hold up any more ...
