My friend recently lost her son in a terrible car wreck. He was an organ donor (on his driver's license). She asked specifically that they not use his eyes, but everything else was ok. They said they would make a note of it - 2 different lifeshare employees - and they also said many people had concerns about using eyes. Anyway, they went ahead and used his eyes - she received a letter in the mail stating that. She is heartbroken enough and this was simply more than she could take. It seems like such a minor request and yet she got this slap in the face.

They took care of my brother-in-law's wish to donate his organs after he ODed. It was an incredibly difficult period for my sister, but they handled it with grace and dignity, and really took steps to make our family feel at peace. I am thankful for this.

Was told I could escort my son to the operating room. Was not told when he was taken down. Also, am not thrilled with the aftercare. I had to call about the flag-raising ceremony. I felt it was forgotten. I also had to call about getting the flag from the ceremony 4 months later.
