I do not recommend this place for your loved ones. The care is nonexistent. My mom got to where she could not feed herself anymore and still her food tray was put down in front of her and then staff would leave. Medications were withheld from her because they wanted to see if she could be stable without them, I assume to save money? We were not told of this change. It put her in the ER. Please do your research. Many personal items were stolen.
My children's father is a resident. He is covid+ and is quarantined in the 200 wing. Every time they call and ask to talk with him, the phone just rings and rings. The staff tells them that he must not know his phone is ringing. Wouldn't this trigger someone to go in to check on him and maybe answer the phone for him? Unacceptable.
I've gone to visit my great aunt here with my family many times. I've spoken to a nurse over the phone about her well being when i couldn't visit. On April 27th, 2019, I received a call from my sister asking me to come here to check on our great aunt because the nurse she spoke to over the phone was being rude. So I arrive to Life Care Center of Federal Way and did what I usually do; sign in as a visitor. The receptionist told me to go speak with my great aunts nurse. I walk towards the back and a nurse met me asking if I was the person she spoke to over the phone, which was my sister but since I was in the line of fire, the nurse gave me an attitude. I asked if I could visit with my aunt like I've done many times before, she said "legally, she's not allowed to let me visit her. How are you related to her?" I told her shes my mother's aunt. She responds with "so you're not really a close relative." I said, "we took care of her before we had to bring her to Life Care, we don't know where her son is. Can I please see her?" She says that she doesn't understand why, all of a sudden, I want to see her. She states that no one has visited my aunt for "years" and she knows this because they have no record of any visitors, "she looked". I don't know how that is possible when my cousin visited 2 days before I came, and I always sign in on the visitors log, I also have RECENT pictures of us visiting our aunt that I am happy to share. This nurse was speaking to me in a condescending manner and I did not appreciate the way I was being treated when I came in smiling speaking to her respectfully. I left upset, not only because I couldn't visit my aunt but because when I asked her name she got in my face invading my personal space, gave me her name and said "if you have a problem with me protecting her medical records and guarding her well being then go ahead and complain to my boss." I told her I didnt ask for any records, I asked to see my aunt and that my problem was not with her doing her job. My problem was that she was being extrememly rude! I was so upset that I had to walk out! I've never met such a rude person in my life and I hope she learns how to speak to others in a more respectful manner. I truly appreciate the care that was given to my aunt while she was there, but that nurse really left a bad taste in my mouth.
My experience with both the people of Life Care Center of Federal Way and the place itself has been Excellent. The facilities look great, are clean and seem very well maintained. The staff and management all seem very nice, helpful, pleasant and actually smile...(they seem to like their jobs) I would highly recommend this facility (Life Care Center of Federal Way) for anyone seeking healthcare, patient help, retirement or help for one's elderly.
My sister was a resident here for THREE WEEKS and made ZERO progress due to lack of care. She is in the hospital after ER surgery for a perforated intestine - UNDIAGNOSED FROM SYMPTOMS FOR A WEEK. She had emergency surgery the day she was transported from Life Care. The staff NEVER returns phone calls. She has glioblastoma and is on many medications and she did not receive any of her medications the first night she was there. She had a seizure the next day. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! I am reporting them to the state Attorney General and DSHS. (I only prompted one star because I couldn't post without it. They are not worth even one star.
Wished they payed my mother way more for all the hard work and overtime she dont get paid for... Sad this company dont see the sacrifises she makes day in, and day out. 10 years she been working here, and she still getting paid little to More
Terrible, Nurses don t care about patients, nurses are sassy and shrug everything off, patients don t receive their scheduled meds, fine dining is non-existent in this place, a scoop of each food item and a milk carton, just terrible, I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.
