Liesbeth's Grand Café Review

superb cafe! - The whole town of Horst is so well looked after, it was a real hidden gem. We found it when out cycling from a nearby centre parcs and it was so good my wife and i returned there on the return leg of an alpine motorcycle tour. The Grandcafe has been well invested in and is fantastic. The bar inside is modern and smart and the toilets are clean and modern (which i think says a lot these days!). The menu is varied and very well priced or equally its good for coffee and cake and a place to sit to pass the time. Lovely town, excellent cafe!

Nice sitting outside on the terrace, under the heater. Good service. Tasty bread platter!

Nice dinner with a nice company. A bit noisy in the glass roof with a nice view of the streets.

The food was somewhat mediocre, for some of us it was not worth repeating

I have lunch there twice a year with my step girl from 40 years ago. The food is always reasonable the coffee and cappuccino delicious but what my surprise the last time was the boy who served us deaf mute. !!! that you give this guy one chance and ..... he did it perfectly nothing to complain of me he may stay perfect !!!!

Nice location with very friendly service, Corona measures are well observed, we had a nice lunch and the dog was not forgotten with a bowl of water, we will probably go back this week

We have eaten here twice. The first time it was excellent and therefore went back but the 2nd time was not good. My burger was raw on the inside and the waiter made a bad excuse about it and did nothing to it and then avoided us. We are not going here anymore.

located on a nice and cozy square. However, I waited a long time, tried to make contact, but unfortunately received nothing. When we left, the man looked straight at us and then started chatting at another table. Fortunately there are several nice tents on the square where you can get something to drink.

You sit very nice on the terrace, tasty burgers, smooth friendly service, and they have gluten-free bread.

The scramble eggs is burned with a hair inside. Probably because it is too early I the morning. The stuff is friendly by the way.

The service today was much better than what we are used to! In the past often had to wait a long time before we could order anything but today it ran smoothly.

Tasty salads. Goat cheese salad is a favorite. It is a cozy place for lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee.

Bad fries .... accliced us 2x all small hard pieces ... and the salad was not fresh ... not recommended!

Sorry, went home hungry. What a disappointing organization.

It was bad yesterday, the operation has deteriorated very much. Not really friendly.
Glasses are not rinsed before they are brought to bottles of beer.
The goulash soup was bland and the meat was only slightly warm and the vegetables had cooled and burnt.
It was as if my dish had to wait for the rest of the table to be ready.

Have lunch here. The Wildburger what class, as well as the fries our espresso at the end. Staff extremely friendly and attentive.

What a nice end to our vacation to eat here. What incredibly delicious food. The restaurant looks neat and the service is also very friendly. The food arrived quickly and was nice and warm. Once the first bite then it seems like you have not eaten weeks ... it does not matter how expensive it is .... Thank you very much !!

Cozy brasserie with delicious tasty curling fries. We come from far away to taste it. And totally worth it!

Cozy and warm cafe. I went back here for 2 weeks on a Thursday evening. It was nice and quiet then. I had a delicious luxury iced coffee here with caramel and whipped cream on top. In addition, I shared a bag of curly fries with a friend. That is really my favorite type of fries and a specialty of Liesbeth! I like coming here.

Good foot for reasonable prices. The tomatosoep was amazing. A bit of a construction yard at the moment since they are rebuilding the Terras.

Since Liesbeth herself got out, it has deteriorated. A lot of staff changes and that indicates that the relationship between management and staff is not good. All this is not doing the company any good. They have an AA location that is their advantage.

Cozy terrace and friendly staff but food is not top. Hamburger did not taste very artisanal, shabby lettuce. Tasteless sandwich. Twelve o'clock with too much mayonnaise, again brioche sandwich while card 2 mentioned other sandwiches.

What an atmosphere this place has! Very cosy!!

Have lunch in a cozy veranda. Unfortunately a bit drafty until the open doors were closed. We had a sandwich hawaii and a sandwich spicy. Both were very tasty and the price was great. Friendly service.
I wrote the above about 1 year ago. Been a few times for coffee on the terrace. Today, July 21, 2019, it was really bad. Free tables on the terrace turned out to be reserved? Turned out to be a time of 2 hours later! Ridiculous. Got a table assigned with the clutter of the previous guests still on the table. The order was taken and nothing was cleared. The order was brought in stages and the remains that were on the table were placed on another table. Our dirty sticky table was not cleaned. All this was bad, very bad. The four stars I gave 1 year ago are now 2. There really needs to be done some training and supervision. Such a shame for such a beautiful terrace.

Young staff, were seated at a table where the couple just left.
After a long wait, the wait staff asked if I could order something.
Got our ordered coffee girl took 3 of the 4 empty items. Large glass remained on the table. This is below par. No longer come here Youthful staff (cheap) no longer sees work today!

Just really good Stay there, and price or quality is really mega fat, I have been coming there for a long time, and very much like it, and I keep coming there, great place to catch your breath.

The food is fine, good service by friendly staff and all at acceptable prices. The terrace (or is it not a terrace?) Is non-smoking, delightful.
