Amazing architectural achievement with outstanding level of details inside and out.

If you're visiting Lichfield, definitelly consider paying a visit. Everything is oversized, but the symmetry is everywhere and that makes it very pleasant to admire from both inside and outside. The tainted windows depict biblical stories painted in astonishingly vivid colors.

Lichfield Cathedral is such a stunningly beautiful place, we all loved it as a family. Some parts weren't open i think due to Covid so we will definitely go back when they are. And one of the volunteers was so kind & took the time to tell us about the history of the Cathedral, he was a lovely old man.

Not a great fan of visiting holy places or ABC in tourist jargon but his cathedral had very friendly free guides happy to offer their time and knowledge. I love history and the cathedral has interesting links to the Zulu wars and Waterloo. We also found out about retired colours from Staffordshire regiments. Glad we popped in.

A beautiful building in a fantastic setting next to a small but scenic lake. The cathedral is surrounded by a number of old and beautiful buildings (like the cathedral school) which add to the character. It's beautiful from the outside (just look at the three spires), but the inside is just as breathtaking with an array of stained glass windows throwing coloured light on the ancient stonework. I was there by chance for a conference but was grateful for the opportunity to visit such a picturesque and historic building.

This us a lovely cathedral, so much to see. They have some brilliant events on. Their light shows are brilliant especially the Christmas ones. I recently saw the brilliant Lesley Smith here. I have already got my tickets for next month to see Benjamin Zephaniah. You should take a look at the events listing.
