Huge, huge choice, friendly and competent staff. We go for something and we come back with a wheelbarrow other stuff. Unmissable in Brussels.

Amazing big book store in Brussels. I have never seen so many books in one place and there is something for everyone. I, who do not read much, I was pleasantly surprised by their choices. There are even books that are usually difficult to find elsewhere. We could spend days there without realizing it. It is also possible to drink and eat a small dessert during our reading thanks in particular to small reading corners made available to us.
It's a real bookstore with booksellers who read a lot and give excellent information to customers. Filigranes regularly organizes conferences, presentations of authors and books, as well as book signing sessions. It is also a pleasure to go for a break at the cafeteria where you can also have a meal. The boss and his team have adapted to the needs of the customers of the twenty-first century and do not hesitate to offer games, works of art, gadgets. Finally, you will find a large radius reserved for the press and specialized magazines. Personally, I go sometimes to Filigranes but I remain very attached to the library Tropismes and the library of the Licorne.
Knowledgeable booksellers and a huge choice. What more can you ask for?
One of Brussels foremost bookstores. Huge collection in French, decent English offering.
A huge bookstore with a very impressive choice. As a good reader, we let ourselves be tempted by each department. The staff is present in numbers and always available and smiling. Open on Sundays there are also activities for children (story reading, etc.), in addition to a snack place to sit and have a bite.
This bookstore is exceptional in the Brussels landscape and is clearly worth a visit.
The perfect place for book lovers. You will find everything you need there. Do not hesitate to check if the book you are looking for is in stock on the site before going there.
Corridors of books that reveal their secrets to curious travelers who venture into their meanders. Add to that toys and accessories that finish creating the perfect picture of the proud and lonely pleasure that is reading.
Extreme kindness and competence. A very large catalog of books
Tea instead all go for original gifts books taste conferences etc.
Amazing bookstore!!! They have everything: literature books of every genre you might want in all collections, but also travel books, hobby books, stationary, neat little notebooks, kiddo books, baby toys, kid games and crafts... its Alibaba's cavern!!
I love this store, there is a wide choice of books, comics, books of all kinds. The place is really nice and you can sit there, drink a little something, while reading in peace.
Amazing bookshop. You can find any book in so many languages! There is a cafe inside it but sometimes they have authors presenting their book so they tend to ask the people there just having coffee or a beer to sort of move or change the seat. Which is quite annoying because if I knew there was a book conference I would have not sat there in the first place but they don't say that to the clients that are planning to sit there and chat for a while.
Large choice of books. Thematically organized. Many book and writing related gadgets that you can buy as a gift for a book loving person. Not the least expensive bookstore of the city though. But in return for a little more expensive books you get a calm browsing environment. There is also a little bar at the center to read with a coffee, a beer , or another drink.
Incredible place! I spent at least an hour watching the news they offer. The price is a little steep, but it is worth visiting! There's a cafeteria inside with tables and chairs to sit and relax while having a coffee reading a good book.
Great bookstore, I really loved it. Not only the books, in incredible quantities, in impressive variety, attractively presented, a welcoming, warm place, full of life ... And in the middle, a place to sit, drink coffee, tea, juice , have a bite to eat ... I didn't know, I haven't lived in Brussels for a long time but Filigrane makes me want to go back, if maybe not permanently, surely good for a season ... Well done, and that it can continue or resume as before this viral crisis ...
Best library in Brussels.
Not many other things to say. You can find all you want with great advice from employees.
The different alleys in store can be a bit narrow so you can feel a bit a lack of space but there are so many books.
Very big book shop with many titles, but the way they are organized it's difficult to look for a specific book.
The largest single storey bookstore in Europe if I'm not mistaken! There is an English section, bd and there is also a way to buy various accessories. Small cafe inside very nice with what to make a good meal. We are sometimes a little tight with the world there is and the small alleys. Unmissable place for those who live in Brussels
Best Library in the country! Culture meets social life.
Very nice place. The world's largest bookstore with no floors. Vendors are here to help you find what you are looking for.
Superb bookstore very friendly, conferences organized at the top
I spend a few times in the store for the comics, comics or board games that are there but the choice is often poor. The articles are either easily accessible elsewhere and cheaper, or too much oriented towards the popular wave.
This is obviously excusable given that there is a certain rhythm for the arrangement of the shelves but the shelves remain, not surprisingly, unchanged.
On the other hand, irony and consternation occur with staff who have difficulty knowing or giving information.
Q- "Can you advise me of a book or a game to offer for an 8 year old child?"
A- "This one is pretty good, he won an award."
Bookstore with snacks on site. Huge place with a lot of choice of books. Very nice place.
Very interesting and nice. We want to buy everything
Attention, access and mobility in the vicinity becomes more and more complex and impossible. Involved: the work in the against-allee and the crazy idea to reduce the street belliard from 5 to 4 bands.
A rich bookstore with qualified and welcoming staff. In Must in Brussels
Bookstore well up to date.
A little too bobo.
Well, but a little poshy ...
It's more become a supermarket with time
Great bookshop with cafe, piano, children's play area, readings. Huge selection of books in French and a smaller assortment of English and a selection of German bestsellers and classics. Also magazines and comics.
Great as a place you can read on the spot with a small catering the catch to find in this large space his book but there is always a person from the store to help you
Very good bookstore, there is really everything (even a restaurant). It is a bit tight at times but nothing very serious. I advise
My favourite place to buy books and presents regardless of the age. Very friendly and helpful staff
Impossible to leave without a huge pile of books to read...
Yes, it is a "safe bet" in terms of reading, bookstore, good advice, ... They just suffer the ransom of their success. Of the world and booksellers, apparently, sometimes "exhausted" by the requests.
I went to the children's toys department, and I was reprimanded by a saleswoman (without even a hello or any kind of politeness), because my 10 month old daughter was touching toys (I mean "touching" and not damage or soil). If the policy of Filigranes is to prohibit children from touching the toys, I recommend prohibiting access to children from this department (because it is not realistic to think that they will not want to touch them), or put them in showcases not accessible to children. Anyway, if parents want to buy toys with their kids, I recommend the Fox store in City2, where staff are okay with that.
Moreover, I wonder if the same policy applies to the book shelves, and that it is forbidden to touch them ...
This book-store has an impressive selection of books and magazines but this is where my admiration comes to an end. Except for selected staff, the service is not friendly, not to say rude. I was standing with my basket in the magazine section. The staff constantly passed by in a hurry creating tension around (a delivery time?), so I had to move the basket anytime someone passed. Clearly there is not enough space in the area where magazines are available. To make it easy for the people (mostly the staff carrying boxes and trolleys), I put my basket on the pile of magazines to be immediately told 'Learn a habit of putting the basket on the floor, Sir'. There was someone constantly remarking what I did wrong. Then I took a magazine from a packed standing pile and struggled to put it back without destroying it, so logically I put it on the back side of the neighbouring pile. I was immediately remarked by another staff member that this was the wrong place. He realised however the problem and removed redundant copies making it easier to take and put away the magazines from both piles. Books have no prices displayed on them. At least the language section is overpriced compared to other book-stores. Because of the number of people and too direct staff, for me this book-store is loosening its charm, I am afraid... Unless I need something really specific, I will opt for smaller are friendlier book-stores in the future or simply order it on-line.
A place where we would like to stay locked up at night!
This place is perfect for finding what you are looking for. I'm a fan of reading. What happiness.
Celebre, the most generous book office in the world! Unfortunately, 3-4 young salesmen had a good time in a loud voice.
Very good service. One of the best book stores in Bruxelles. They speak English and are very helpful. They accept returns without any questions.
Very good bookstore with a huge selection of books.
Used in school textbooks unpleasant. The site is not updated on available items. Badly indicated.
I love this bookseller, lots of choice and nice staff
My favourite book store in Brussels. In addition you can also eat, enjoy a coffee, listen to music (there is a piano that people love to use). You can also purchase plants, decoration, wine, etc. Oh and the staff is super friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to advising on books!
You can drink or eat a piece, moreover you always find a book to your liking and sellers help you in your search. Also open on Sundays
Amazing library close to the royal palace. You can find a bit of everything. There is a novel section with a cafe where you can take the time to grab a bite while checking your next reading. There is also a big comic section as well as a kid's one where you can seat with a child and read.
Fully stocked, friendly and helpful bar staff provided and fabulous customer service
Busy, something for everyone, good service. Could be better signposted inside for people collecting orders. A labyrinth.
Entering this library is like receiving a giant hug. At a time when places of culture are closed it is an immense pleasure to walk among the shelves from where thousands and thousands of books look at us. For those who know the pleasure I'm talking about, I won't add anything else. There is also space for the curious who will also find other ideas for a gift, a special gadget or a bottle of wine.
A place of worship for the owners of books, they have everything on everything and are pros as we do not meet anymore! Ray kdos plus and a super radius children with toys, stuffed animals etc! Go there even if you do not read!
Gigantic choice of books, newspapers for adults and children (many games, books). Very nice atmosphere with coffee corner.
Open 7/7 except Christmas.
It is one of my favorite bookstores in Brussels. There is an impressive selection of books and we take pleasure in browsing the shelves in search of a pearl to discover to read. The sellers (not all) can sometimes advise us and this is a significant plus given the current choice of books.
A large choice, a relevant and pleasant advice, but a lack of organization of departments ... We get lost in the store, we can not find anything there!
The most beautiful bookshop in Brussels ... nothing to say
You can find everything there, news newspapers, magazines, books on all subjects without exception. There is even a cool gadget section.
The staff is good, knowledgeable and courteous.
