To all who are looking for a home.
I worked with a guy named Rick Rizzo with Liberty Home Mortgage. This man was very slow and unprofessional. He asked for documents that I have provide in a reasonable time as needed. After submitting the documents to close on the 203K loan a month in advance before closing. He orders an appraisal a week before the close. The appraisal came in wrong. The appraisal team they have didn t contact the realtor to get in the home. Took stock photos and claimed that the appraisal was complete. Causing us to do another appraisal. When rick called me. He was fussing at me as if it was my fault. He didn t have any solution to present to help close this deal. Yet he raised his voice at me as if I didn t do my part in time. It was frustrating knowing that me and my realtor had to come up with solutions to get him on board. He gave us assurance that we were able to take another step but the seller of the home would have to put in an investment to tare down the shed before we could close on the Home for this conventional loan. The seller wanted assurance that we would close before doing this process. Rick assured them. The seller moved forward with the process.
After the process was complete, Rick got started with his part only later to come back and say I wasn t approved. His excuse was my credit and gave me explanations of things on my credit didn t allow him to qualify me to move forward.
I was confused, The things he was referencing to was the same things on my credit the first time he pulled my credit 5 months ago. I have paid down credit card depts and haven t used ran my credit for any purchases. Also the $140 dollar collection was there also. I was wondering why now I am not approved but he guaranteed I was before he promised the seller we would close.
Rick Rizzo was negative the whole time. He made it seem like he didn t want me to get the loan at all. He was the problem behind the failure of closing and now after firing him. He fails to provide me with a mortgage denial letter to get my Ernest money back. He will not return my call or text anymore over his failure and it feels like I am the one suffering the whole time by dealing with him. As long as he is working with Liberty or any other company. I think people should run. He isn t a positive person and I have lost my home, Money, and time dealing with him that I can never get back.
My First time home buying experience was made easy working with Chris and liberty. Everything was explained thoroughly, and I was walked through all the steps. My pre-approval came back quick so i was able to start shopping right after my initial application which surprised me. All the paperwork was done a online which made the process even more convenient. Definitely would recommend.
This lender would not leave me alone and would not accept no for an answer. When I finally convinced him he rudely hung up and didn t even say anything. Glad I m not going with this company and another one instead
Being a small business owner, the journey was long and tedious. My Rep was Rick R. He was on top of it at all times. Wether it was the extra proof of income or one the many other documents needed to prove my business, Rick was always there for my questions. He was great in expediting the entire process.

This was a horrible experience. Do not use this mortgage company. Use a local company that you can visit. Never do this type of transaction with people who don t value you. No online. No matter how small your loan. Go local. Don t use Liberty. They can even change your numbers after closing. If you talk to Terrance or Jason... hang up immediately and pray.
Everything about Liberty Mortgage has been a pleasure! From getting all the documents we needed to submit to finding us a great real estate agent, this company always put our best interest first. We worked with Adam as our loan officer and he made the process a breeze.
One of the best things about this company was working on weekends. With such busy work schedules this made it so much less stressful, everyone at Liberty was flexible with time and meetings in order to get our closing done on time.
Steven Rizek was exceptional. He was always available to us when we had questions, at any time of the day. He was quick and thorough with paper-work and always called to check up on the process. Steven explained things thoroughly in detail and was very knowledgeable about the process. He told us everything up front to make sure that we knew what to expect. We will definitely use him again when we buy another house!
Chris is absolutely amazing. He was so patient, knowledgeable, and kind. And when we hit a snag, he offered perfect solutions to help us get over the hump, in order to proceed to closing. He made our homebuying experience so pleasureable. I cannot say enough about his service to us! Kudos Chris!
My review is with the lending part of this company especially with Isaac quijano knows lending underwriting i live in California and was able to finish the loan process in a timely manner and professional with my questions and move in time!! Highly recommend him with your next home purchase
