Messed up company
I sold my car and they want me to still pay for 3 yr as it was a 4 yr contract even if I dont have a vehicle.
I wonder how come the government dont close companies like this

Worst experience ever with an insurance company! Avoid this company at all cost! Shady company that are colluding with dealerships to sell this slimy extended warranty. They will do anything they can to avoid paying coverage or end of warranty claim-free rewards. They will then refer to the contract and say they have to abide by it knowing full well the contract is bogus and leaves a lot of important information out. Not to mention the page that goes into details about the supposed Claim-Free Reward is magically missing or left out? The dealerships are equally to blame for such sneaky practice and intentionally don't disclose important information so they can sell the product (the warranty). There is a reason they have a 1 star review on google, they are the worst of the worst, if I could give 0 stars I would! Lesson learned though and never again will I purchase anything from this company! I'll be filing a claim with the BBB as well as informing as many car clubs in the GTA of this despicable company and their shady business practices. If I can prevent one fellow Canadian from purchasing this warranty/insurance I will be content. AVOID!

I would highly recommend this warranty and other products they offer, anytime I have mentioned it to our mechanics they always have good things to say and seem relieved that we have the coverage through LGM/SECUREDRIVE as opposed to other companies. I ve never had a hassle making claims and the customer service and reps are beyond helpful. The claims free reward is an added bonus, gives us extra peace of mind. Thanks LGM for protecting our investments, we will continue to use your company because we have had such a great experience.

What an amazing team to work with! LGM is the best business partner I could ever ask for. Their dedication to their clientele is unmatched. Having worked with dozens of other financing and warranty companies, none have ever offered the personal touch that LGM does. Having people like Terrilyn and Leanne to rely on makes every deal a breeze.

Filed a claim 2 months ago it was approved. Have been getting the cheque is in the mail for 6 weeks now.

Worse financial company i have ever seen in my life , they cheat people on contract to buy extended warranties on cars .

IT ONLY MEANS YOU GUYS GETTING MONEY FOR DOING NOTHING AS I CANT CLAIM ANYTHING FROM YOU AND BUT YOU STILL GET PAID.

WHEN I BOUGHT I WAS TOLD I CANCEL IT ANY TIME.

WHY SHOUD I PAY FOR SERVICES IF IM NOT USING IT.

This company is a total rip off I purchased a polocy through them at the dealership and was verbally told it was for 10 years and if I did not use the policy I would get my money back. I still have the unit and have not made a claim in 10 years and called to get my money back. And guess what they say ha ha ha you only had a 5 year policy and because you still own it and never claimed any repairs your out of luck. They took my money and kept it an extra 5 years made money with my money and wont give any back.
This company should be avoided at all costs they play games with fine print. All the people that have been riped off by them should start a lawsuit againt them. Its not the money its the principal of their compay steeling from working Canadians. The people that baught in good faith.
I now wait for a call from a higher up person but I dont hold any hope.

Lgm are thieves they can not be trusted constantly taking money out my bank on dates they are not supposed to and higher amounts they should be taken to court and the CEO should be thrown in jail

LGM is a top notch warranty provider to the OEM and aftermarket automotive industry. Having worked with many providers, LGM has been above and beyond in how they service their product. As with any insurance it is imperative that you are aware of what you have for coverage. That info is in your paperwork you sign and the person who articulates and administers your coverage should ensure you are informed. LGM offers a unique and unmatched set of purchase options for their products that really help the client out. As someone who has provided LGM and many competitor's products to customers, I can honestly say that LGM offers a top shelf product and has nothing but the best people backing it.

Traded my car in, and got the same insurance again, but they won't cancel my old policy and are charging me twice every month. I don't have the old car anymore and they are still trying to charge me for it and still my new one. I called them, but they were of no help and told me I have to keep paying.

Solution: putting STOP PAYMENTS on all future withdrawals.

Small potatoes complaint here, but this might help someone. I got the extended warranty for my daughters car and we could never use it ( always something not covered by it) - we only realised that we could ask for a refund when the car repair guy tried to get LGM to cover a claim, and the guy at LGM pressured him NOT to remind us that we can get $1000.00 back. Slimy.
But we have had to be persistent- as we only have 30 days from expiry but cant call before expiry- so called about 7 days post expiry and was told by the agent that he did not usually deal with these but would open a file and someone would call me back the next week. Of course no on called so I had to call and was asked top fill out forms which I did and sent back expedited July 9. Again silence. I saw Canada Post delivered on July 11 and so on July 18 I called and noted that they had in fact received the forms, so they admitted that but also no one had actually finalised the claim so they would now send it to accounting. So several calls to get this done, knowing the clock is ticking ( 30 days is July 24). They havent said 'no" but they seem to be really dragging their feet. Very slimy is what I am getting from this. I will see if I actually get my cheque!

Used two times on my Volkswagen Jetta . Both times process was great and fully repair covered . Saved me about 4500 dollars . Thanks !

If ever presented with the opourtunity to buy vehicle protection warrany with lgm through a dealership run the other way. They are a scam and other reviews and their ratings show it. Dealerships that carry this scam include Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, BMW, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda Mitsubishi

To notch customer service facility, attended a seminar here and it was great.

LGM is a wonderful warranty company that offers competitive terms, pricing and financing options that can be flexible based on the individuals needs. I have been working along side this company for 2 years and they are extremely helpful and polite when you have issues with customer claims and customer service. When we have any concerns or questions, they are transparent and do not hesitate to explain in detail the component coverage and benefits of the plan. Thank you LGM!

I purchased a Secure Drive Mechanical Breakdown Protection Policy in June 2019 and sold the car last week. It was a four hear policy. They will not give a partial refund even thought a claim was never made. If I owned that car at the end of the four years they would have issue a small amount back. Do not do business with these people.

Excellent coverage! I just got a new Audi and bought their Elite coverage and Total loss. Always had great service in the past with them! Would recommend and will purchase again!

I gave a rating of 1 star only because that is the lowest I could give. Trded a vehicle off that I had coverage with LGM. Tried contacting these crooks on numerous occasions. No answer or call backs. Finally get an answer today. They are still taking money for previous vehicle & refuse to stop. Politely told I was S t out of luck. DO NOT purchase anything through these scumbags. Nothing but a SCAM

You CAN'T CANCEL this insurance even if you sell your car or crash it!!! LGM you will be in the news in this difficult COVID 19 time that people are going through. I will start a campaign against you.I will have a time for this because I am going to loose my job soon.

I have to specifically mention the quality of service that Terrilyn and Leanne have given to me. Their patience and devotion to clients is outstanding, their care and attention world-class. I can't thank them enough for making each interaction a pleasant experience. No matter how hectic things get, I can always trust LGM's amazing team to get things done right in a timely manner.

Still in the process of claiming my claim free reward after 4 years contract.
How hard is it to do even though I provided all the documents required on the declaration from.
They just dragged on with the process.
Also when the dealer sold me the auto insurance (Clarkdale), she told me that I would get full amount back after the contract if I dont have any claims.
I paid close to $4k, now I only know I can either get $2000 in store credits or $1000 in cash.

According to the person I spoke to on the phone, they do not allow your Policy to "Roll-Over" to any new vehicle that you might buy!

I had an issue but this was resolved to more than what i could expect.

LGM is a cut above the rest. They are by far one of the easiest warranty companies to work with. They have made the claim process as quick, efficient and painless as possible for customers. The vehicle loss privilege program is outstanding value as is their mechanical breakdown protection. LGM really helps alleviate the stress caused by the unforeseen circumstances that can come with vehicle ownership. They deserve 5 stars plus plus.

After a potentially bad experience due to a devastating personal incident, my complaint was listened to and cleared up in an exceptionally timely manner. My previous opinion about this company has now changed due to their professional customer service.

Worst company I ever dealt with. Absolute worse. Poor everything. Bought the elite extended warranty only to find out they cover nothing. A 800 dollar bill becomes a 500 dollar bill. What is the point of giving them my money for coverage. Won t pay for diagnostic s, won t put mopar parts on my 2016 dodge rebel. What will they do? Take your money and screw you!!!!

I work at a car dealership and I ve been dealing with LGM for more than 6 years and they ve always been amazing! They re very efficient and patient from the customer service department to claim department. Not like other company s representative disappear on weekend, Leanne, our rep is always there to help no matter weekday or weekend! The best warranty company in the market!

I can't believe Honda recommended and pushed these guys. I will be contacting Honda to get out of the contract that they glossed over. Gross, greedy and unsympathetic. It took my whole life story before the lady would help (and when she did, she did a 5* job, just getting there JC). I am now upset with Honda.

Strongly recommend not to buy extended warranty with this company when purchasing a new vehicle. Usually we don't buy extended warranty for new car, but we bought the Volkswagen Protection Plus 5 star extended warranty provided by LGM in April 2015 when we bought a 2015 Golf TDI, specially because the dealer advertised it was transferable if no claims were made. Then Volkswagen diesel scandal came and we decided to return this car back to VW. Since this car is still under VW factory warranty, the extended warranty is not in effect yet, we contacted LGM to cancel the extended warranty. LGM refused the cancellation and returning money though some TDI owners actually successfully cancelled the warranty from them, LGM claimed that they changed the policy. We were directed to contact the selling dealer to get the credit for next purchase . However the most frustrated thing happened, they are willing to give us only ~$1200 credit for the extended warranty which costed us more than $3000 although the extended warranty is still not in effect yet. What a loss! Another awkward thing is that we don't know where to use this credit. If purchase extended warranty for new vehicle, we have to pay much more additional money, which means lose more money.

I have purchased many cars and have dealt with many coverage providers and I must say that LGM has been a pleasure to deal with. In fact i had such a no hassle experience with the coverage on my last vehicle i insisted that i get LGM coverage when purchasing my most recent Audi. The total loss coverage is better than what ICBC was trying to offer me and much better value.

Never again! I am glad I am through with LGM.

This review is up for edit should they rectify the situation but as it is right now they have double and triple charged me for my extended warranty multiple times, and continued to take payments after asking them to stop as I didn t own the vehicle that had the warranty on anymore, you should NEVER have to pay for a service you aren t using.

I was specifically told I would receive a refund and then denied a few email later (this could have been the dealerships fault) however I shouldn t have to wait months to rectify a situation like this, with how quick they are to respond sometimes you would think they would have the time to deal with these types of situation immediately and not take months.

Good customer service. Took two phone calls to fix an issue and the operators were extremely friendly.

Do not buy the extension policy for your car! The dealer and the company collaborate to fool u to buy the policy. When I bought my car at the dealership, they told me I could buy an extended insurance of my car and cancel it anytime. However, they only gave me one page of the policy and I found out eventually that I can only cancel it within 30 days (it shows on other customer pages but the dealer didn't give it to me).
The other funny thing was that I found out this policy didn't really mean anything cause when I bought it the dealer ask me what kilometers will I drive each year and I wasn't really pay much attention of that question so I answered that probably within 10000km. Then I realized on my contract (she didnt gave it to me) wrote like "policy will expire either reach 80000km or 2027 which ever came first". This is absolutely a fraud!!!!
Please do not buy the extension policy from this company and be alert with your dealer!

Do not get involved with this company. Somehow they got my banking info and started withdrawing money from my account for insurance I did not agree too.
