We did 2 adventures with them. We did the scenic river tour, where we saw lots of eagles and wildlife and then we did the rapids. Both were fun and everyone had a good time. Would definitely do it again
This was the first time we went white water rafting, and I had read bad reviews (of other places) of scary experiences. However, this company and our guide (Gavin) were very professional, fun, and perfectly scary (the kind you like). We had great conversation, a smooth and wild ride, and tons of fun. The rafts and gear were in great shape, and the river/scenery was beautiful. This was a wonderful family experience we will cherish forever. Thank you!

Had a blast! Did the small boat at the end of the season but it was still alot of fun. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Would love to go back earlier in the season when the waters higher.

Highly recommend. At the end there is a hike up hill to get back to the bus. 1.5 hour round trip bus ride and 1.5 hours rafting. We would definitely do it again.
This was an amazing white water trip!! Our guide Luke was entertaining, knowledgeable & just fun!!! We had such a good time with my wife and daughters, he even let some of them ride up in front!!! What a blast!!
Had a great day on the river! Our guide, Claire, explained how to be safe as a boat and as individuals. She was enthusiastic and made everyone feel at ease. We were a diverse group of rafters ranging in ages from 10 to over 60. Could not have had a better experience!

We did the afternoon scenic flat with Jacob and had a great trip. We ended up in a boat with two other couples and no kids, so HUGE shout-out to Jacob's partner Riley for taking the bullet and having g the two families with small kids in his boat! Float was perfect...great pace, great guide, and we saw a ton of cool stuff including a bunch of bald eagles and a huge number of trout. So cool! Jacob was very knowledgeable and shared a ton of interesting information. Great guy and made the trip perfect. Highly recommend this company for a float trip...either scenic or white water (if you dare)!

Good rafting trip. Great staff. I have difficulty walking up hill. They fail to mention the 1/4 mile up hill hike at end of trip to get back to bus.
Our group took the trip mid-July. The water water and rapids were fabulous and Like our guide was a master. Excellent guiding skills in the water and even better at keeping us entertained. Highly recommended!!
It was all and all an amazing experience. My family had a mini emergency. We were supposed to be a party of 4, but one needed surprise surgery and two couldn't come. The owner (Karen) was really helpful with the entire thing. They were kind and went way out of their way for us. The rafting itself was amazing and beautiful. Luke was a really cool guy, he was a great leader and made the experience even better. Karen had even arranged for the bus driver to take my brother and I back to our hotel. Everything was really well done and fantastic to be apart of. I would 100% recommend them and go back.
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! We came as a group of ten (10) and each one of us loved the trip down the Snake river! The rapids were exhilarating and our guide, Aaron, was very helpful and informative when it came to explaining any part of the trip. The next time we visit, we will be sure to book another adventure with them!
Recently took a family vacation to Jackson with a family of 8 (ages 7-75). In reviewing our trip, all members agreed that our morning float trip down the Snake River with Zach as our guide was one of our most memorable and enjoyable experiences. We saw lotsa bald eagles and other fishing birds as well as celebrity homes along the river. The 2 hours went by so quickly. Zach has a wonderful sense of humor and has a unique ability to make the trip entertaining and informative for all ages. l never would have thought a "float trip" would be so interesting and so much fun!
p.s. The folks at Lewis and Clark have the logistics down pat...from booking the trip to transportation, not a hitch.
We had a very disappointing experience with this company. We have used Teton whitewater in the past and been very happy but it was booked for the date we needed so we thought we d try a new company. We had only the one date since my son was traveling from Texas to join us for this special trip rafting. We arrived 30 minutes early to check in but they said just to come back 30 minutes later for the actual boarding so we walked around a bit. 30 minutes later our group made our way to the much anticipated trip. When we arrived they said they were canceling the trip because their boat wasn t in yet and they couldn t even make it later in the day our time was 3:00 pm and apparently they don t have enough boats to insure this type of thing doesn t happen).We traveled 3 hours that day to get there and 3 hours to get back to our rental and they didn t even offer a free trip for a later date due to this not only completely disappointing day but the fact that we wasted a whole day including gas expense to get there. The manager literally talked over me and acted if I were crazy for even asking for such a thing ..stating they they were returning my purchase price so that should be enough but if coarse he would need to return my purchase price.. he canceled our trip! And that it was out of his hands since it was windy. It was windy all day so he had plenty of time to call us that morning if he even had a thought that he would need to cancel so that we would not make our way there. I would never use this company again and will stick with a more professional rafting company that treats customers like human beings that deserve curtesy.
These guys are awesome! Friendly, efficient and they lead the most amazing trips on the Snake River. I thoroughly enjoyed my river trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and the trip was so much fun. I did not want it to end. Thanks guys....I will be back again for sure! Highly recommended.
We had so much fun and our guide, Steven, was full of information. Very restful and calm until we hit some of the smaller rapids, them it was bring it on. Loved it all.

We selected the late afternoon rafting trip (early August, four of us in a small boat) and had a most excellent time. The rapids themselves were fun, we saw lots of wildlife, our guide was especially great. The entire boat was excited to see marmots, an otter, two beavers, at least two eagles. There were several opportunities to swim along the raft in the water. Our guide (Clare) is both fun and professional she s extremely knowledgeable about the river, fauna, and has recommendations for Jackson and the park. In addition she is very safety conscious, going over directions before and during the trip. Post rafting we changed into clothes we d kept in the bus and took a quick ride back up to the dinner side up from the river.
You meet in town and rent any supplies you might need and take a scenic bus ride to Snake River (one can also arrange to meet directly at the River). At the river you can select a splash jacket (at no cost) which was perfectly fine for me (and I don t like being cold). Wear water shoes/sneakers you don t mind getting wet, shorts/shirt that are not cotton they have recommendations posted on the site. The small boat takes up to 7 people, one is not a paddling position, plus the guide. All the companies take the same 8 mile stretch of river for rafting. The departure times will vary during the season but are posted on their site.
Check in staff was lovely, bus driver safe overall a great experience and a highlight of our 13 day trip across several national parks.

My family did an evening white water trip in July 2016 (Aaron was our guide) and the kids say it was the best experience of our entire vacation! Aaron was great, the rapids were awesome, and we finished it off with a nice steak and salmon dinner! Highly recommend the folks at Lewis & Clark.
Absolutely wonderful trip! Our guide was excellent and friendly! Would do the trip 20 more times! The views were awe inspiring and just the right level of thrills with relaxing floats.
My first trip with Lewis & Clark was almost 20 years ago. My family returned to Jackson this year and they are every bit professional and fun as they were back then. There was a slight problem (probably my fault) with our reservation and they more than made it right. I wont let 20 year go by without visiting them again.
Really great trip! Can t ask for anything better. The rapids were just the right amount of scary that it was perfect. The guides were incredible and really made for such a great experience. Would recommend you bring a change of dry clothes because you will be soaked.

Long time area rafting company. We did the float trip at 3:45 pm, which worked well for our schedule - arriving in town at 10:30 am, had a pleasant lunch, shopped, checked in to the hotel, with plenty of time to get to the store. Very pleasant experience, easy float, you can safely bring your camera/phone. 13 mile float (2 hours) is a little long.
TIPS:
- Be sure to look behind you often to catch awesome glimpses of the Tetons.
- Book a trip that is not completely full, more comfortable allowing you to move and stretch more.
- Bring a bottle of water.
Guide was very knowledgeable. They were very accomodating to my mother who is a senior who struggles with the use of her feet. I woukd recommend this group to anyone. The ride was beautiful and personable. We saw lots of eagles on this trip.
FANTASTIC! Our family of 8 went on a scenic float. Our kids from 5-15 had an amazing time! Our guide, Orion, was awesome! He was knowledgable, friendly and competent. We felt safe and comfortable floating down the Snake river with our families safety in his hands. Our bus driver, Larry, was friendly. The guy at the check in was friendly and helpful. Their equipment was clean. The whole process was easy. WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY GO AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
So much fun! We booked the small boat white water rafting trip. The trip was excellent. Our guide Luke was great. He took us through all rapids in the best way for maximum enjoinment. I was on the front row and got covered in water from head to toe several times. My teenage kids had a blast and we did too. We also saw eagle and osprey. Some tips: if you want more action and to get drenched sit in front of the raft. They provide rain jackets - take them even if it's hot - the water is very cold even in a hot summer day. If colder - rent the neoprenes.

Parker was a great guide. The scenic tour was great to get pictures (you can take your camera). It warmed up, but it was a little breezy at the start of the morning.

The best white water rafting company I have ever used. Our tour guide, Joe Smith, (who is surprisingly not mormon) was excellent. The entire raft had a great and safe time. No other rafting service has mixed education, safety, and fun so well. This is a family friendly experience in every way.

I'm not the best swimmer so of course I was a bit nervous about the trip but our guide Orion was the best. I never felt like we were in danger.. He was very knowledgeable about the river and the wildlife. I couldn't ask for a better experience. If we didn't have a full schedule over the weekend we would have signed up again with the same guide!! Thank you Lewis & Clark and Orion for a great time.

Floating on the snake river was a blast. Class 3 rapids made it not for the weak. We saw blad eagles, yellow bellied marmots and minks. Get the wetsuit, they let you jump in. Ask to jump in at the last spot so you aren't cold the rest of the trip. The water was 55 in august when we went. So much fun!
This was my first whitewater rafting trip and I went with some girls for my bachelorette party. We had an amazing time!! Our guide Collin did an incredible job of making sure we were entertained and gave us a little background about the area we were rafting in!! He was very skilled and because of this we had so much fun in a safe way!! I highly recommend this rafting company and guide!!

We decided on a last minute float trip during our honeymoon stay and this place is awesome we got fitted into a group for a morning trip. Went on the 8 mile rafting trip last week. Such a great time and the tour group guide i traveled with convinced me to sit in front row of raft. Lot's of paddling and breaks, and getting totally submerged by water. It was a blast and so much fun !

We took the scenic float trip down the Snake River and loved it! Steven, our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He shared information and taught us about everything from the wildlife to humanitarian efforts of the area. We saw a lot bald eagles, but were not lucky enough to see other wildlife. The views from the raft were spectacular though and made up for the lack of wildlife. Excellent family owned company, if you are looking for this type of adventure, choose them!

My girlfriend and I took the Teton Views Scenic Float this last Wednesday. The boat ride was about two hours long and full of beautiful views of the Tetons and the landscape around the Jackson area. Our tour guide, Gavin, was very knowledgable of the surrounding area. He was able to answer any questions our group had and provided interesting facts about the animals and scenery throughout the ride.
Amazing guide, very accomodating (assisted with my elderly mother extensively). More personal than the larger rafting companies. Loved it.

No pics to share because we didn't take the phones on the river. It was a cold, dreary day and we had to wear wet suits. All the staff was amazing and Emily, our raft guide. Made the trip worthwhile.

Lots of options to choose from. But this one was great cause of the staff. The staff make for a great experience. Go for the early bird special. So worth it. We say so many animals along the river and this was the highlight of our trip.
Karen and her team are the best in town! We had them arrange a trip for a HUGE group with an event at Melvin Brewing and they nailed it. I'll give them all the stars in the universe.
We went out today and did the 8 Mile white water. We went to the office to get our kids wetsuits and then met the group at the river. Luke was our guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable. We had our 3 daughters with us 7,9,13 and they LOVED every minute! They even enjoyed sharing jokes with our guide Luke. We even enjoyed the 5 star scenic short walk back to the bus at the end

We had an awesome time on our whitewater rafting trip with Claire as our guide. Our group of 6 guys was paired with a family with 3 young children, a great combo. The class 3 rapids were not as scary as Claire made them out to be, and they were a lot of fun. We felt very safe. Would love to come back earlier in the season for the high water. Saw a marmot and a few ospreys and bald eagles. Just remember to paddle!
The scenic float was good with excellent guide and lunch. I got the same day trip when I called to make reservation in the morning.
My family came for the week to play at Yellowstone and we decided to do a scenic river trip at the last minute through Lewis and Clark River Expeditions. JJ was our guide and did an excellent job! The Snake River was running high and we hit a few low key rapids which were a bonus. JJ was very knowledgeable about the wildlife that was along the river, as well as the Snake River itself. He was funny too!! We saw two bald eagles and some huge eagle nests. We saw Osprey, Red tailed hawks and Pelicans. The tour was relaxing and beautiful! I highly recommend Lewis and Clark Expeditions!
We enjoyed our scenic float with Riley. He did all the rowing and gave us knowledge of the river, it s wildlife, and other fun facts along the way. Super enjoyable and would highly recommend this low key adventure.
