Better than any home school that goes to LCTI. The Academic Center is College Prep and the teachers are chill. The labs are very good and have great technology and good job opportunities. The teachers and staff are really nice and give proper guidance to get you ready for the work world.
This school has the worst faculty and staff. Never keep their promises. I dont know who runs this school but they need to start doing their job.
Amazing experience getting my class A CDL with X & T endorsements. I also did the dump truck training. Super great group of instructors and I highly recommend them. I went into the courses with a certain frame of mind and when I left I have a whole new perspective on trucking and all aspects of it. They taught it all. Thank you so much Mike, Matt, Ramon, Larry, Dale, Rosemary, Judy and a special thanks to Mark T.
Poor planning of their open house for new district students. Don't know how kids can get a good education when the coordination is so poor and gives a horrible first impression. Not prepared for items that were told kids would get if pre registered for the event. Also staff was fast to clean up to show that they only cared about getting out right away. Poor planning all around. Kinda feel embarrassed that I went there as a student back when they actually cared about their impression.
Learned a lot so far, more than your average high schooler, I recommend if LCTI has your career that you are interested in attend here, you will learn a lot!
I took the adult education CNC/Precision Machine course and I can tell you 100% that if you do not already work in a manufacturing type of environment or machine shop this is not the class for you. The only successful students in the class already had at least a year of professional experience or had taken prior machine classes. Absolute waste of time and money. Also, I am not sure if the same instructor is still teaching the course so I will not post his name (he told the entire class multiple times he didn't think he wanted to teach anymore) but he had a very negative attitude that myself and at least one other student found to be very detrimental to our chances of learning. Oh and the same instructor told us that CNC training was just "bonus" if we got through the manual machine training. Point is if you want to learn CNC and you're out of high school already, don't waste your money.
I really like going to LCTI. I started going there from 2011 to 2015 (when I graduated). I like meeting and getting know some students and teachers. There are some ups and downs, but I try to get past it. The class I went to was Mr. Shaner's Material Handling and Logistics. I really enjoyed that lab. In my fourth and final year, I became one of the leaders and it was great. Like Parkland, sometimes I wish I can reset time and start all over again. I like LCTI. I get to meet new people and I get to learn new things every day.
Great school, lots of programs to choose from, dedicated staff and administration.
