We were very pleased with the sales people who told us all about the system. We found out, as time went by, that it has saved us large amounts on our power bill. We've had no problems with it. We've been pleased with the savings since installation, the follow up and all the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. We're happy that we made this investment. Very good company to work with. They were friendly and informative and stand behind their promises. Our local city was giving a rebate for solar installation at the time we signed the contract. The amount showed in our contract as a credit we would receive. When we didn't receive any information or check from the city I contacted Legend Solar. They went to bat for us with the city, but the city (can you say government) refused to honor the request because they had since terminated the rebate program, even though it was in place when we signed up. Legend refunded the amount they said the city would even though legally they probably didn't need to. They are a company of integrity and I would and have recommended them to others. The solar works great, I have had no power bill for 3 of the last 5 months, and have been getting credit back on my utility bill. I know that will change during the hot summer with the air conditioning kicking in, but still this has been a great savings.

I am extremely pleased with Legend Solar. Our system is approximately 9 months old. It was installed in timely to when they said it would be installed. I feel the panels are performing to what is expected of them. We have had winds over 70 mph several times and they are still there but we lost shingle off the roof but not where the panels are. I had a problem with nothing being recorded. I called Legend and he assured me that they are producing after looking on his phone at my account. I was worried that I would miss recording but in a couple of days it caught up and everything was listed. Legend furnished all the paperwork for the tax deductions, state & federal. Our rebate was what it was supposed to be.
My only con is I would like to be able to see what each individual panel is producing.
They installed our solar system last year and were very helpful through the whole process. They took care of everything from getting the permits to making sure all the inspections were complete. It was a very fast process and they were very fast to answer any questions I had in regards to the system. They even went and did research on options for supplying some power to my home even when the power is out. (Grid Tie System shuts off if there is a power outage). If you are looking for a very responsive, proactive, and friendly group of people to install your solar system these are the people to go with......
My Dads best friend went with this company, straight to the point he was not happy and had to cancel. Some of their employees now work for us and from what they have told us that this company has let go most of their employees, they are now down to a skeleton crew. Many of the employees that got let go have not been given their last paycheck. The employees that are still with the company they ve fallen behind on payroll. They owe vendors tons of money and most of there vendors have stopped doing business with this company. If you should decide to give them your business be warned, they will be happy to take your money but will fall flat at delivering your product. This is a warning to everyone who considers buying solar from this company.
Great experience. Legend Solar was great to work with. Very professional and courteous through all the stages of purchasing and installation. Follow up is consistent and great as well. I would recommend using Legend Solar to anyone.
The primary reason I went with Legend is because they were the only ones I could find who would put their production guarantee in writing (which promises to pay the difference each year if I get less output). Unfortunately, I can't get them to pay it.
The first year my system generated just 9,308 kWh, far less than the 12,337 kWh in my guarantee.
For 5 months now I have been trying to get Legend to pay me the difference. A customer service rep told me three months ago it was approved by accounting, but I've never seen anything. And I haven't been able to get anyone to respond since. The territory manager won't return my calls. I've even sent an email and letter to the company president, with no response.
UPDATE - After I posted this review I also filed a complaint about this with the Better Business Bureau. A day after I filed my BBB complaint I heard back from Legend, and they sent me my check immediately. I wish I didn't have to go through that much trouble to get it, but I'm glad they finally sent it. They then followed up with a six-month review of my system, which I appreciated.
