Legend healthcare Review

This place is absolutely WORTHLESS. Our father has been there for about a month and they have done nothing but neglect him from day one. They put him in a room with someone who clearly needs to be by himself due to his condition and keeps our father up all night so he gets NO sleep. This man has been there over two years and constantly gives the staff trouble so you would think they would know not to place anyone with him yet they just went ahead and put our father there even though when we went to visit him there were PLENTY of open rooms available. They have not once, not twice, but THREE times failed to take him to a follow up appointment that is crucial to his health and had nothing to say for themselves except "well we didn't have an appointment down in the book" - ummm THEY are the ones that gave US the info for the appts! Our father has stated that it sometimes takes up to 2 hours before someone comes in to assist him when he is needing help and says the food is so terrible that he refuses to even eat. They have given him incorrect medications several times and once when he was having back pain asked for a heating pad and they stated they didn't have those. How can you be a nursing facility with physical therapy and not have a heating pad?!?! His sheets have maybe been cleaned once since he's been there, he has had no physical therapy which is crucial to his healing process and we constantly see nurses just standing around doing nothing. Do not let your loved one stay here it is not worth it and the place smells terrible like it hasn't been cleaned in ages.

Extremely poorly run facility!!! I would never put a lived one there, even if it was the last place available!!! Rooms are not cleaned. Some rooms reek of urine due to the lack of housekeeping staff. Rooms don t get swept or mopped for days!! I the majority of shifts are short staffed. Residents don t get the correct medications at times. A resident choked on their food and died!!! Found dead with food coming out of their mouth.
This place needs shut down!!! Most maintenance issues are jimmy rigged until it turns into a real issue.

Thankful Thursday gifts have been so much better. The facility is making much needed changes.

Hard working staff that has done a tremendous job navigating the covid outbreak, with a continued focus on providing great care for the residents.

During my tenure at Legend Healthcare I found staff to be caring, considerate and compassionate.

I am not only an employee, I am also a customer. I have a family member who is trying to rehab so she can safely return home. Not only does Legend Healthcare provide alk the amenities that $$ can buy, but we also provide physical, speech & occupational therapy, privacy, activities, caribg & loving support from staff members that have been there for 20 plus years. It is a "calling" not just a paycheck to myself & to them. Being a CNA is hard, unglorified work, you don't do it because your going to get rich quick, you do it because you have a need, it is born within you to care & take care of somone. That is what Legend Healthcare has to offer your loved own as well as mine.

I have worked at Legend Healthcare for close to 15 years. The residents are considered family . As an employee with longevity , I take my job seriously and do it with heart. My co-workers are compassionate, giving , and professional in all aspects. I could not imagine working anywhere else.

My brother has been at Legends since just before the pandemic started. The facility was proactive in keeping residents safe; I am so grateful to them for that. But mainly, I am grateful for all their patience with my brother, their care and concern for the residents and their generous communication with us.

This place is not for anyone in these times of uncertainty!!! Gloves not worn at all contact and masks are worn on the chin unless a higher up comes by.....i couldnt put my self at risk as I am high risk. So i fell back onto a life event for fear this pathetic place would retaliate.....anyone who works there apparently aren't interested in safety of the staff or residents. Sorry it is what it is and I call a spade a spade. This place is a death trap I rate it at a -10

Staff provides quality care and exhibits genuine concern for the residents.
