I recommend to visit the observatory at sunset. The dimmed daylights and sun reflections make amazing pictures to the wonderful cityscape
I recommend to visit the observatory at sunset. The dimmed daylights and sun reflections make amazing pictures to the wonderful cityscape
I use travel to Dubai, can compare Empire State Building with Burj Khalifa. Even that Empire State lower, view from the top better and interesting to see Manhattan, hard to leave, hypnotized.
Price bit high, but strongly recommended at least once.
Don t forget that, there are 2 different views-day and night, so better go on sunset, to catch both
Very crowded but the view from the 102nd floor... Definitely worth it
What a view from the observation platform if the weather is accommodating. Be a where that if the top is in the clouds it is not worth paying the money and going to the top. I have been there when that was the situation and found that there was no view. But when the air is clear, the view is amazing both day or night. Sometimes the line is long as there are a limited number allowed on the top. So plan you day assuming that this will not be a quick ride up the elevator. At the same time when the weather cooperates, the views are fantastic! Line up early, be prepared for the altitude change by clearing you ears by swallowing as the elevator goes up and enjoy a fantastic view of this wonderful city. As I remember last year the fee was $15 to go to the top.
Very pricey for the experience the staff was very experienced and helpful.
Worth the wait for the views. Best at early evening. Simply stunning.
I love one of the most iconic building of NY. If you wanna go to peak, go there at opening time possible it's more quiet time.
The best view in new york city. The only reason I give 4 stars is that the trip up is a bit pricey, especially if you have kids with you. However, the view is the best: a must for anyone visiting NYC. If youre on the area, do yourself a favor and go up to this historical landmark!
Although there is always a huge Que, but what you see there is the best of New York. You just need to try get a better spot to make some photos of the city from that high.
The views were absolutely amazing, however it would have been so much nicer if tourists were more graceful, you get pushed out of the way a lot and it gets frustrating most people don't speak English so they feel the need to push you to get a place (I'm not exadurating) a lot of people ignore the queuing system and just walk to the front like royalty, so Basically because I have manners I didn't like it, the people ruined it for me.
Beautiful views! The building is stunning and incredibly clean. Get there early to avoid the lines
Ruined by too many pushy tourist's. The view was stunning and there was plenty of history displays on the way up. Still can't believe it only took them 13 months to build it.......
Awesome building!!! I went up to the 102nd floor and the view was amazing! You could see all of NYC. I think that everyone who has the chance, needs to visit this man-made wonder at least once in their life.
Amazing views but the security staff on the 86th floor were incredibly rude. Pitty! :/
Amazingly remarkable structure. only thing is there are alot of ways they try to upcharge an experience. basic ticket will get u there
The views of the City at Night are heartbreaking. A sea of light from all angles and New Yorks distinctive street grid pattern is something worth seeing.
They have updated the building presentation since I last saw it many years ago, but they have made it so expensive, that a military family like ours, can not afford it. No family price, and the military discount tickets, you have to buy from the ticket booth, are more than the regular price at the kiosk. We will wait for the opening of the Marvel Tower.
If you stay in New York then i'll recommend you 200% the Empire State Building. The view is absolutely breathtaking.
We bought the VIP experience tickets which made it literally to a unforgettable experience. No waiting, no loss of time. If you book the online you'll get there and take the elevator "up in the sky" within seconds. Have fun :-)
Great place to visit when in York. Watch out for the sightseeing passes they dont except them.
This is obviously a must do when you're in NYC, but the lines and waiting can be crazy. The view is great, much like the Rockefeller building but it's more about being there, and experiencing the history. The view lacks one thing, a good view of the Empire State building. The New York skyline is missing something if you're viewing it from here.
Hint: It's open till 2am, and the view at night is great (also, the lines are almost non-existant).
I am sorry to break the party, but I think that the price of climbing to the top is absolutely ridiculous! I do not expect them to allow it for free, but this is too much. Yes the view is gorgeous, yes the building is historical, and yes I can choose not to go up, but as a New Yorker, I should have the option to go to the top with my niece without saying goodbye to $120.
We went around midnight on a weekday during the spring and there was no line people! It was so awesome to see the city lit up. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if I had to wait. I definitely suggest to go at night.
I reccomend going at night. The views are breathtaking! We went to the 102nd floor well worth the extra fee. I suggest you go when you have the time to soak it all in. This experience was well beyond my expectations
Great view, good organizational. No crowd at the top.
This was a great experience, however there is a longggg wait. Plan to be in line for 1hr. and plan to have a good camera the views are spectacular at night and day from all around the building at the top.
Great view from upper deck (86th floor), nice gift shop. But if you will compare to Top of the Rock, not the best one.
Spectacular views of NYC from the top. Will go back again for sure to view the night view.
Iconic in NY .. a sureshot visit for everyone visiting NY .. it just gets too crowded to go to the roof top .. love Empire State ... to be frank , I would go to the top of Rockefeller and see the majestic Empire State from top .. issue with Going to the top of empire is - u will see many buildings , but you will not be able to recognize any :) either ways Empire State Building is a must do attraction in NY ..
I recommend going all the way to the very top. It cost more but the view simply awesome.
I love the place, I am lucky to have my hubby who works in that building and I go visit him and top of the ESB even though it is crowded place, it's peaceful... I do like One world, but ESB has open view with chilled air during evenings.
If you visit New York it is a must fantastic views and great art deco.
Great architecture. Fantastic views of the city from the top. Great sense of history.
Great view from the top, organisation inside and queue much faster than in Top of the Rock
Amazing steel architecture back in 1930s, a great of the whole New York city and beyond, just be sure to visit when it's sunny. It's windy up there so hats off and bring a windbreaker. Be prepared to be in a crowd as it is often crowded with visitors and tourists from all over the world.
Views were outstanding. A must see when in NY city. The building is so tall as well. Strange however to believe that it was one the tallest building in the world. Not in that class now, but the age of the building too will leave you in awe.
I took my wife and two sons to NYC last weekend and it was my sons first time being there. We visited a few places but the one that will stand out to them is the Empire State Building. They were in total awe with the majestic look and views. Amazing
Don't go up there. IT'S A TRAP.
There were so many people that night, we took more than one hour to get to the top. The queues were endless... And once we finally arrived, we couldn't even get close to the sides. Four lines of people stood before us, all fighting to take a picture.
We decided to turn back. And we still needed 30 minutes more to get passed the queues to get down. Awesome.
Our ticket allowed us to visit the Empire State Building twice. No, thank you. *Rips the ticket*
Want to be a part of history, visit this place amazing architecture with tons & tons of steel with a classic view of New York Skyline. This place is open till 2am.
Recommended to visit at nights! Cheers!
Well worth the $40 bucks too get in, or buy a hop on and off ticket and get in for free!
Really cool building but going up costs 80 dollars now but the view is astounding. Bit pricey but worth it if it's what you want. Personally there are other buildings you can see the city from for free hahaha
It was so much better, than I expected! The building inside is so beautiful and definitly worth a visit. You can also visit the entrance hall without a ticket.
We have been there twice on the Same Day. Once in the morning and Once in the night. Both times it was really well organized. There are people everywhereeto help and guide you.
If the line was too long, they offered us to walk the 6 stories from the 80th to the 86t , which was a good way to skip the line.
I Do recommend to have a New York City Pass (because of skipping the line at the ticket desk) or to come very early in the morning.
We all loved this & thoroughly recommend doing it at night time for the breathtaking views.
Such an amazing experience! The wait time was short and ticket price not too bad! The views were incredible, would highly reccomend to anyone visiting the city. Would definitely do it a second time round, next time I am there.
I went here on my Spring break 8th grade trip in 2005, and it was nice inside. Even though we didn't go to the top on the observation deck, we still went high in the building. Like the 87th floor. Still was a good visit. I'll have to come here again when I am alone in NY.
When they offer to sell you an express ticket to jump a 90 minute wait do it. We thought line looked like it was moving pretty fast and decided to wait it out, wrong choice. They had a way of hiding how long the line was by funneling you through different rooms. The waiting and standing was tough. We went at night. INYC lite up was a beautiful site.
Wonderous! Elegant! We felt transported through time when we walked into the building. Staff was courteous and efficient.
We didn't have much time to explore the displays which was unfortunate as I would have loved to learn more about the building's history.
The views of the city were amazing....from all sides. The open air observation deck was great, made me feel almost like part of the city.
So much history this building has seen and been a part of.
If I ever get the opportunity to visit NYC again I will make it a point to come back to this great building.
Such good views here. Kind of romantic in my opinion.
An iconic attraction that is a must visit for every tourist that comes to NYC.
the Empire State Building is an American icon and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Head to the top and enjoy views of up to 80 miles on a clear day, taking in Central Park, Manhattan, New Jersey, Connecticut and even out to Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
Located in Midtown Manhattan, the views from its 86th-floor observation decks are unmissable.
First off the price is a little bit much but still a must if you have never been. Visited during the day time but heard the view at night is pretty spectacular. Try go before 11:30 AM to avoid heavy crowds. No need to purchase priority queuing then.
Damn - this place was EXPENSIVE!!!! Yes, definitely go for the experience but make sure you have a lot of cash on hand. The cost for two tickets (One adult and one child) with the fast pass was like USD$70 - just to go to the top of a building.
It's really neat to go up and see the city from the top. What little wait we had wasnt bad. About 10-15 mins the first time. But the observation deck was really crowded but that's to be expected. Then the night option was well worth it too. Less crowded, and you fly thru everything
What do you know no line but we still had to walk that maze. It's very clear the day we were up there we could see almost forever if you do this also do Top of the Rock and compare the two
An iconic building, with (I think) the best view of the city. The outside viewing platform contributes to the experience - the feeling of being high above the city and hearing the hustle and bustle below is quite something. The are also good exhibits showing the history of the building, so you are not simply paying for a nice view. 100% worth the money!
Best place in the world!!! Great, fantastic, unbelievable! I've used jetlag to be first to come in, so saw everything without a crowd. Don't miss it!
Great views from the 86th floor.. No need to go to the upper floor and pay extras money.. it's the same views.
Amazing view. Lovely spot to have a nice view of New York. If it possible buy tickets for am and pm to have to different perspective
I surprised my wife with a trip to NYC for our 20th anniversary and one of the places we visited was the Empire State building. Only reason for the 4 Stars, the price is a bit high just to ride an elevator.
Second time here and there view is amazing still. This time, I specially enjoyed there politeness and friendliness of all employees. It's quite clear that they were well trained and picked by hand. Specially comparing to the harshness of most newyorkers ( Central Manhattaners, I mean )
Almost a must when you are in New York.
Stunning views both during the day and in the evening.
A good and easy way avoid the queues is to have a "fast pass" card that is included in some discount cards.
Magnificent, well-known and historic building that I will visit again next time I'm in New York.
Most amazing building in NYC. This is the center and ICON of NYC.
Beautiful place. Not as good views from top as Top of Rock. Be prepared for lines
It was a wonderful experience when looking down from the viewers top, actually it was an accomplishment of a
must see a wonder.
The 82-second floor will cost approximately 40 dollars. If you want the 102 floor that will be another 40 dollars. Beautiful views and the wind feels great on your face.
The view from the observatory on 86th floor is jaw dropping. But, they let you down in the organization of the lobby, behavior of the staff, and the overpriced ticket charges ($55 for both floors, really?). But once you get to the top, you'll forget all about what is said above, and get lost in the beauty of NYC. Must visit!
It s a great experience. I would recommend going in the evening so you can have a day view then a night view.
Great experience.
Amazing view
Pretty disappointing. Expensive to go up and on the top there are thick bars all over ruining the view...
Full access ticket is a bit overpriced but definitely worth the visit (at least once in a lifetime, anyway). Amazing views! Most likely better to visit during warm seasons but still beautiful in the winter, nonetheless.
This place is awesome. Once l took a computer program in there. I have known this place for years and l love it.
Views are amazing. but I think $36.00 is over price for the 86th floor
Amazing views but they let way too many people on the observation deck at a time.
That ruined it for me and I don't really recommend it. It's also $60 USD
One of this historic landmarks in NY city and definitely a place to visit. The night view is wonderful, but time your visit by making sure the visibility is good.
We had been there once when the visibility was very bad, but they gave us a voucher to visit again
First off, wow. this place is BEAUTIFUL. I went there at around 6 pm on a friday night, and it was relatively empty. Great view, cool museum. While you may think the top is cold around here, they have heaters that warm you very well. Be warned, however. The first ticket machines you see are for the express line. These tickets can cost up to $110 more than regular ones. Just amazing.
Every bit as good as the hype. Classic art deco architectural icon. Was very crowded even in the middle of the week but well worth it.
It is windy and in the clouds. My 7 yr old wrote this
Pretty awesome. Be ready for an hour worth of standing in lines. The VIP experience appears to be well worth the money.
Only after I visited the Empire state building I can say that I have seen the beauty of New York. It is an historical building that just the way it was built is fascinating. I highly recommend visiting this building at least once since it is really something special.
We went at 6.30pm and there were no queues to get in or waiting for elevators. I would recommend going to the 80th and 86th floors. The 102nd floor observatory is quite cramped and doesn't allow for good photos since the windows are smaller. But the 80th and 86th observatories are well worth it.
Great Views.... In a Scenic area of New York. In Mid town Manhattan. $32 per adult. 102 floors Skyscraper.
Great views. Love the elevator "show" on the way up and down which talks about the history of the building. Expensive.
You cannot beat the view. Seriously...day or night.
Be prepared for loooooong lines both going up & down. Staff can be overwhelmed trying to keep order but seemed polite. The hefty fee seemed over inflated.
The visit is best suited for a special occassion and those able to handle the lines and cramped areas.
A visit to the iconic destination is a must, and the pictures are memories made & shared.
They have a brand star bucks in there.
If you like heights like me you'll always love this place
Time your visit. If you want a daytime view expect very very long lines. Almost as long to get out as to get in. View is good, better from Top of the Rock.
It was wonderful being there. Such a lovely and lovely place.n full of life.
A bit pricey, so I didn't go all the way to the top, but the views are amazing. ..and the facts about construction are superb.
