Didn't go to the observation deck but they have a couple things to see on the ground floor
Stunning views. Be prepare to wait, the que can be long and awaitvof at least an hour is normal
Fantastic building. I went there for a meeting but did go up to the rooftop. The views of Manhattan are spectacular
Amazing views! We came here right before the sun set, so we could see day and night view from the top.
Wonderful experience. When u go 86th floor, it's cold winds, very beautiful view of whole new york at night from top. Must visit . Worth .
Hobby or professional Photographers need to be aware that they won't even let you take your small sized tripod with you because "theres a lot of people" and "someone will knock it over" as if it was my first time up there. Anyways staff was nice while discriminating my tripod. Have fun with your bad and blurry phone pics.
Not as good as the freedom town observations area in the world trade center but open until 2 am and the city at night time offers great views. Staff where to busy chatting to them self's to realise you where there. Museum was not that interesting and no modern technology to improve your visit. It's an iconic building living off its dieing reputation. If you want night view go here, if you want day view pay the extra 1 dollar and go to freedom tower.
To many people jumping the lines had to wait almost an hour to get out, unfortunately it was not a great experience, but the staff can only do what they can do would I go again it would be a big no. The staff need more help to deal with things the company should help the members of staff in busy times. Making money is not everything should help your business more I.e staff .oh ps my family did not want a photo taken so the staff should be less rude about this doesn't help the business, a course on how to be nice to your customers would be good.
Historic. Some of the best views of NYC that I have ever seen.
Superb place it's a landmark and the view is breathtaking.
Not a bad view on the 86th floor. I'm trying to get to the view over the 104th
Beautiful place. Long line but worth the wait. Staff very friendly. Ask about complimentary chocolates shaped like building.
The lines were sort of long, which to me is to be expected. The views are great! Just have to rotate through the crowd.
What is a trip to New York without a visit to the Empire State Building? It's another classic attraction that completes your itinerary. I enjoyed the views from the building, and I didn't even need to go to the highest floor (102nd). I felt like enjoyed it from the 86th floor just fine.
I enjoyed it even through the long walk to the elevators. They have interesting historical facts presented everywhere that made it worth the wait!
Long lines, poor attention by most staff although several went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable.
For the price of the ticket, it's really not that worth while for me. I will say that the view is amazing though. There are so many people and only 1 to 2 elevators working which can take forever getting to the top and once you're there, it's so congested that you just want to go back down.
The second viewing platform is gorgeous but unfortunately you have to pay a lot extra money to get there. Also I like the main elevator
Just amazing! My husband and I went for the first time last week. The views at night are breathtaking but there is so much more to see there. You walk through a museum before going to the top. Which show ls the history of the building. We would go again maybe during the day this time.
I lived in Manhattan for nine years and two weeks before I left to go home to Edmonton, Canada I went up there. I had to see this magnificent view and spectacular structure. My daughter took me back two decades later and this is what I saw. You Must see for yourself!!!
A unique way to see the city. Not neccessary but very beautiful.
View is amazing. We went at night and could see the whole city lit up. Simply amazing. The place is very well organized, especially if you buy tickets online. It's a must
Great experience and great views of Manhattan. Definitely worth it if seeing it through CityPass because you can see it during the day and at night!
We went on a cloudy day so views were obviously limited, however this did not detract from visiting this famous attraction, if anything it added to the charm of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and added to our enjoyment!!
The facilities are ok and the staff is courteous. I would recommend going an hour or two before sunset. You wouldn t be able to spend more than 2 hours on the top as once you have seen all the views, there is nothing much to do and no space to sit.
Great view from the top, especially at night. But don't take the ripoff peddle taxis out front.
So fun! Cannot stress this enough- get the VIP package or wait for hours in line.
Very nice views from top. We got there fairly early in the morning and the queues were not too bad at all. Although, it was a little bit misty in the distance whereas if we went later on in the day, I think it would have been clear all around.
Been wanting to go up there for a while now because it s in so many movies. The general tickets cover the 86th floor (before you go up to 86 you ll go to 80th first for an exhibition). I like both the exhibition downstairs and on 80th - very cool and informative. You would need to pay another 30 dollars to go to the very top. I did some research online and people said it wasn t much different. The view was amazing. The only sad thing is that because it s cold up there at night, they put overhead heating on 86th (which is very nice of them) but then your pictures will have a omnipresent red tone to it. Also my family really wanted the picture that was taken when we entered but it was a shame it was a bad one (my dad s eyes were closed:( )
Great scenes can be possessed from this location. As much as it it a long queue most times in order to climb to the top, the view at the top is most certainly worth the wait and a spectacular sight for the eye. God bless America.
Awesome up close. Built to last during Great Depression
It was a brilliant experience and it is abosuletly wondereful view!
It was so incredible windy on top, but never the less an amazing view and experience.
Beautifully maintained, updated and preserved architecture inside and out!
Old school construction I love!
Beautifully preserved elevators and
panoramic views from the top! Helpful and informative, friendly employees!
WOW they straight copied everything from the spiderman movies
It's like go through Disneyland. Lined up and following all the way up. Very crowded. Each spot have to wait for people move out then sneak in. We went at sunset time, after a quick dinner at Korean town. You have to have patient there.
It has to have five stars because of what it is, its a place you have to visit when you visit NYC.
Dont be surprised with long ques and randomly unpleasent staff, but its understandable with the amount of people they deal with all day I guess....maybe rotate the staff throughout the day???
So full of historian the staff are so helpful and full of knowledge , a must if you visit NY
Beautiful building inside and out, lucked out by going on a cold and windy day, so the lines were short and it wasn't crowded, so I would suggest going on an "off" day that might not be perfect, to avoid the large crowds and wait.
The views were amazing, staff was friendly.
It was over priced in my opinion but still a good experience
This is a must place to visit while in NYC. LOVE THE VIEWS!
The best view of NYC!
The 102th floor is highly recommended.
I've always wanted to climb the Empire State Building and to the fact the second to top viewing point is open made it truly amazing. Going at night was something I enjoyed because I got to watch the nightlife of Manhattan come awake.
Its just an incredible site, and amazing history, I recommend the tour of the place!
I have been here around midnight and I wouldn t think I would love the view this much at night. Well it was amazing, I would recommend it! It s amazing, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They are even up for a little talk. While I was up to the 86th floor I saw this amazing view of NYC! And by night it looks amazing, all those lights and all those buildings. When I am back in NYC, I am going back to see it again, then in daylight I think!
As "touristy" as the Empire State Building is, it's easy to see why people keep coming back after all this time. The views are incredible, thanks to the building's excellent location. Staff and informative & friendly.
Obviously a must go. Astonishing the view that you get up there. It is definitely recommended to do it twice in the same day as offered in the ticket. One by day and one by night. Very nice in winter now that they put heaters on top. Must go.
This is a landmark building in New York city's skyline. The first building to cross the 100 floor mark. It may not be the tallest building right now, but it stands tall. Quite a trip to the city would not be complete without taking a trip to the magnificent Empire State building.
Very old building. Not that great to be honest. Views from the observatory is pretty nice though. Way too crowded and way too expensive. The only reason I'm here is because I work in the building..
Excellent view the staff r professional n very cane
Great views. The line to go up is long and annoying as it tends to be tedious just like any line.
Once you get to the top you have plenty of room to circle the building and get plenty of views all across new york city in every direction. I am a new york city native and going to the top of the empire state building will be something that never gets old to me!
Great views and a nice breath of fresh air compared to the trashy NYC streets.
It's the empire State building, iconic landmark. Great views and work staff.
A must do in NYC, you get the best view of the whole city. We were really lucky with the time as there wasn't any one in front of us meaning that we got to the top within 10 minutes of walking through the doors.
A fantastic to see the New York City skyline. The building itself is an icon of the city and attract many tourist. Visit the place around sunset for a breathtaking colour of the New York City
Beautiful view of the city. Went around 8pm and the lines we're not too bad. Express pass was not much quicker at that time. The observatory area was packed. It would have been better if the traffic went in a single direction around the top. A few traffic direction arrows would greatly improve traffic flow.
It's an excellent Building....
I spent extra $24 for the top tower, but it was just the same view...
Some of the guides were sort of rude, when you lost the way...
I like the place so much that I go on the observation desk each time I visit New York.
It's one of the most beautiful and amazing buildings on the world.
Loved the architecture. Good service and nice view.
Iconic visit while in NYC. Crowded, but if you go in the evening you do not need to buy the VIP pass to skip the lines.
Went early morning to avoid the queues. Very well organised and the views superb.
Way too pricey. Top of the Rock is superior in every way.
It's just amazing to be here...feels like on the top of the world. Gives the best views of the New York City till Queens and Newark.
I visited this iconic landmark when I was on vacation a couple of years ago and the views were amazing.
May sound like a just-for-tourists place, but as someone who live here for many years, I need to see New York from the top at least once a year. Sometime by myself, sometime with someone, just love the view from here. Any time, and day (As long as the air is clear).
Amazing place, a bit under construction inside. There was no line on Memorial Day.
How can you not give this place 5 stars. It s a must for anyone visiting New York and interested in the city s architecture.
The first observation point gives you some history on the building and how it was built. You then go up a further 5 stories to the main observation deck and the views are incredible.
There s an option to go up further but this was not included in our New York pass.
Every visitor of Empire State building will be overwhelmed by Extraordinary construction that was done 89 years ago. More amazing is the fact that it was constructed within 13 onths. It's ambience still charms visitors of every nation and every region of this world. Visiting New York City is incomplete without visit to this iconic building....
This oldest tall building offers a unique view of New York from the top.
But at first, one has to go through a security check.
After that, the first set of lifts leads the visitor to an intermediate stop in the building.
While in the lift, one can enjoy a movie projected on the roof.
The movie recounts how the building has evolved from the podium to the pinnacle.
The sight from the interim stop is also engaging.
However, to gain a more magnificent view, one needs to take the second lift & reach the top.
The view from here is utterly breathtaking.
The building is beautiful, and the view of Manhattan is amazing. A must see in New York City.
Fair admission and nice service, just make sure to go on a clear day because there is zero visibility if there are clouds.
The sky view of heat of the world is an amazing lifetime memory.
The countless colours of entire world can be seen with single glimpse.
Awesome, tickets are 40 dollars(ea) heads up. Worth it.
No information given about the ascend and that there are actually 3 floors you will stop at to enjoy the views. When buying the tickets no information is provided about options. You will find out later that a higher floor level than 80 and 86 is optional against another hefty fee.
The visitor management on floors 80 and 86 is terrible. People are not clearly guided and do not know where to go causing unrest and a lot of in line cutting because traffic is not clearly marked and everybody fends for him-herself. Very annoying. The building guides are extremely unfriendly, usually not wearing name tags so complaints are not effective. This is N.Y. customer service.
We would have enjoyed our time @ the Empire building much more if the company would have provided more information before boarding the elevator.
Any other tall building visit we have done over many years in other cities and countries beat the Empire State Building. What a shame for the city and us as a country.
The views are great on a clear day! and we did enjoy those.
It's definitely the place you want to be when you want to view NYC from above. I would again and again visit this place...
New museum is amazing, as is the new 102nd floor observatory! Everything is so well done!
Too touristy but what do you expect great views. Go at night.
Lines are long, but if you know that going in the views are worth it. Plus it's an iconic American building. Check out the photos of the celeb visitors.
Amazing view, long wait....still definitely worth it. Recommend night time!
City pass highly recommended! You have 2 entries in the same day, 1 during daytime 1 in the evening.
This building offers me a lifetime and unforgettable experience looking over the great city. Inside experience is awesome.
Another one on the hit list when visiting this fantastic city, we visited in mid December about 3pm and the queues were non existent, we used our New York passes and were straight in.
There is a great museum on the assent of the building with all the history of how it was built and what went on there and then you get to the top............wow!!! Fantastic view and absolutely freezing on the day we visited but was nice and clear.
Make sure you stop here on your visit.
Such an amazing experience....must do when in NYC. The staff is wonderful and make it seamless to get where u need to go
They have done a great job enhancing the experience!
This is a classic place to visit at least once in your life if you are ever in NY. It has excellent views from the observatory and doormen chaperoning the areas to make sure everyone's experience is good. There were lots of long lines and big crowds because this is a big tourist spot.
Fantastic views, pity about the time waiting in line.
The lines are quick and the view is priceless I have been to the observation deck 4 times and I plan to go there again. The building s history and its value in pop culture is amazing.
This is the tower to visit when in NYC. Amazing views from the top of the building. A fantastic experience.
