They had some policy for no cameras when I went to a show here, but I was from out of town and was shooting with mine prior to the show. The bouncers wouldn't make any exceptions so I had to hid it outside in an alley. The 'manager' also wouldn't help me, so I just went back outside and brought it in under my shirt. Other than this experience the venue was nothing special but the band I saw was good so giving it an extra star.

This place has been around for a long time, but it sucks. The staff are rude, the building is delapitated and unsanitary. The I saw a security push over an older lady on the sidewalk and then blame her. It's also a bad place to pick up or bring women.

Great venue.

Great venue.
Acoustics are spot on
Seating is well placed.
One of my favourite Toronto venues.

I love going to Lee's Palace for shows. I've been here dozens of times to see a bunch of different acts and take part in events hosted there too. It's got this punk dive bar feel going on and with how cozy it is it makes for really intimate concerts.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Lee's for years for the Dance Cave and occasionally live shows. Tonight we decided that unfortunately we will never go back again. The staff are so unnecessarily rude and power hungry, especially the door staff. Tonight we were kicked out after being there for two minutes. We bought drinks and sat down and were immediately pulled out of the venue. We were told that because we were not buying alcoholic drinks that there was no reason for us to be there and that we were a, "threat to the company". I have never treated an employee badly in any way and was shocked at the treatment we received. I will be contacting the manager even though I know he probably doesn't care about losing the business of two people. Tonight was not the only incident, the door staff have been unbelievably rude every single time we've been there over the past couple of years. Don't go here. Go somewhere where the bouncers don't think they're God.

Have gone to Lee's Palace for a few concerts. The venue is relatively small, making the experience much more intense and exciting. The crowd is wonderful and I really felt the energy. The venue itself is gritty and floors are sticky, but music and sound is great.

Lee's palace always hosts fantastic dance parties, always themed and preannouced so you have plenty of time to find what you like. Big location and bar is huge so you aren't waiting forever for a drink. Bring a couple of friends and you will definitely spend the evening looking for an after hours as you won't wanna leave.

I have seen a ton of bands at Lee's during my time in Toronto and honestly it never disappoints. The atmosphere is exactly what you would want a small music venue to have, and the place is far better than what the movie "Scott Pilgrim" would have you believe. Quick tip, if you are there on a Friday or Saturday and looking for some fun after the show go up stairs. It won't disappoint.

It's grungy and loud like a small concert venue should be. The bar is reasonably price and the sightlines are great from most vantage points. Whether you know the band or not, this is the place to go if you want to rock out and have a great time. They also have a surprisingly decent selection of canned/bottled beers for a venue of this size. This is easily one of my favourite places to catch a gig.

One of the few remaining raw rock venues in Toronto. Great stage site lines. Decent sound. It's in a student neighbourhood, so expect a mediocre selection and par price for alcohol. Many decent acts over the years. The door staff and security generally come across as rude, however once you are inside you dont have to deal with them again.

Attended a gig here recently to see Metz. First time at Lee's and can see why it gets it's reputation. A proper gig venue, with good sight-lines due to the rear being slightly elevated. Looking forward to next time.

Great venue--easily one of my favourites in the city. Sound is good and it seems like they don't overpack the room. For keeners like me, bands who play here (in my experience) aren't big enough to draw a huge/rabid crowd, so no worries about lining up early (though you might get to chat to some band members). Can't comment on drinks.

Went for the lucha libre event where they were featuring an ex-UFC fighter. Event tickets seem affordable for a good time and drinks are priced as expected. Can easily recommend for a night out doing something different. The place isn't huge but you should easily find space.

Lee's is truly one of the premier music spaces in Toronto to see up and coming bands. I've been going here for over 15 years and frankly it just gets better. Well run, well curated show list, plenty of fairly priced beers and friendly staff.
I would cry my eyes out if it ever disappeared.
