I only came for Sunday brunch I loved a variety of hearty brunch and especially the chocolate fondue desserts that I had a hard time leaving
Location, location, location.
Beautiful place, great food, stunning bar.
Le Royal Monceau - since its acquisition by the Qataris and subsequent refurbishment - is an exquisite hotel with almost unmatched quality of service. Conveniently located on avenue Hoche near the arc de triomphe, the Champs Elysees and the shopping streets of Paris and within easy reach of transport.
The rooms are very extravagant and extremely comfortable. Everything has been considered from a design perspective right down to the TV built behind the mirror to give everything an integrated design. The sheer number of mirrors in the room might be a bit overwhelming though, the bathroom in particular looking like something out of an 80s sci-fi movie. The facilities and amenities in the room are as you would expect from a hotel room costing north of 800 a night, wifi is free and offers a fast and stable connection, towels are plush and plentiful and the Clarins toiletries are luxurious. Bathroom itself, once you get over the mirrors, is practical. Twin basins make it efficient for couples. The giant bath tub is a nice addition to the powerful shower.
The best thing about Le Royal Monceau though is the service. From the greeting and reception at check-in (for which special mention must be given to the delightful and charming Celia) to the staff bringing room service meals, everything was done with the utmost courtesy and discretion.
Perhaps not the hotel of choice for business travelers who require something less opulent and more functional, Le Royal Monceau is nevertheless one of the finest hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. Its level of service rivals even the very best that the renowned Far Eastern hotels have long set the standard for. Bravo!
Amazing location, very friendly, personal and attentive staff. The rooms are very comfortable, the beds are like falling asleep in a cloud. Very large bathrooms and walk in closet. The pool is astounding as well, very luxurious feeling. Only complaint is that the steam room smells a bit sweaty... so don't spend any time there. There is a life guard at the pool and tons of equipment for you to use for your swim.
Grand Parisian palace that meets the luxury expectations of this address
I enjoyed having a coffee and a business snack
An amazing parisian palace who cares about its guests! love it!
Benevolent staff and available, tasteful decor and quiet atmosphere. A very interesting exhibition was available. The place is generally pleasant
I went there just for the restaurant part, it was top, a treat! Nice presentation fresh product, the staff always smile a great atmosphere, a delay can be long to be served but they were busy, staff always listening! A great evening I will come back with pleasure!
Hotel conditions are very good and staff are unfriendly, but please note that it is very nice in front of tipping. Have a nice trip ~
Hotel is out of this world would really like to take my wife one day
Beautiful setting but 44 for breakfast is expensive for what you get. My client had to ask for fruit again for the microscopic portion. ...
Very nice place, service really not up to the height
Catastrophic evening of 12/31/17!
They dared to throw a bowl of rice, seaweed leaves and 4 miserable slices of raw fish at the table to make our own sushi! What a shame, for such a large hotel and a restaurant that is ten years gastronomic, to offer a menu on New Year's Eve where the client must himself roll his seaweed leaf ... in addition to the dessert served, we thought that everything was edible, bad luck, what we thought was chocolate, was not at all! I ended up with some sort of pebbles in my mouth, even though it was chocolate! Not to mention the rest of the dessert which was awful!
What about the service ?? The waitresses were interns who hovered the plates over our heads instead of around the table, one of whom dropped a plate of fish on my friend's hair and dress. The latter stank of fish and had filthy hair but had no apologies from this lady!
Everything for the modest sum of 380 per person, drinks not included! And no commercial gesture was made at the checkout. Deplorable!
Reply:
Dear Mr. Greiner,
Indeed, the offer that was made to my friend to lend her a dress did not suit her, because as you can understand, when you buy a haute couture dress to spend New Years Eve, you don't really want to take it off to put on a dress that is not ours and what is more, which is probably not to our liking. On the other hand, the waitress to apologize was the least of things when we made a mistake and it would have been wise for you to suggest to my friend to pay for her laundry for example or to give her a commercial gesture on her note.
Regarding "Make it yourself, temaki, sushi", it's very kind to Mr. Nobu to want to teach us how to make sushi on New Year's Eve, but if we really wanted to we would have taken Asian cooking lessons and who more is another day of the year.
On the other hand, for what I called the "pebbles" in the dessert that was offered to us, it was certainly not sugared almonds or moldy sugared almonds, but in this case why when we have told your servers about this excruciating taste (which none of the 10 people at the table appreciated) we were told that it was not edible but just a decoration. You would have to agree on what you are serving to eat (or not) when you serve a meal.
Thank you for taking the time to answer me anyway, but all these mistakes are really heartbreaking for a "high standard" hotel and restaurant like yours.
Yours truly
Mrs Alloul
A sublime hotel
Brunch on Sunday is to be tested!
On my next trip to Paris I will come back
It's gray, a sullen winter Sunday ... Want to test a new concept? SPRUNCH by Spa + Brunch Start with the most sumptuous Royal Monceau brunch buffet - seafood, charcuterie, foie gras, fish and grilled meats, subtle salads, cheeses, Lebanese mezzes, delicious desserts ... - all served by an impressive staff of kindness ...
Beautiful Christmas brunch for the dessert buffet for me lacking diversity for Christmas
Perfect welcome on arrival and throughout the meal it is spoiled towards the dessert more welcome at all for the bill, even less to recover our cloakroom and at the end the server who comes running to our car to hand us over macaroons
Too bad it ends on this note
I would love to go to this hotel for the beauty of the place and the delicious food and the service is excellent
A classic with a modern choice: Japanese, Italian, bar
But for a palace and the price of brunch the service is not always at the level. We must ask for the plates to be cleared, to be served in wine, etc.
Otherwise it's really kon
I was treated as a waitress for more than 20 minutes to finish the exit procedures. Three people were out of the procedure in just one minute, but was it a lack of trust or racism? I asked them to pull out all the fridge before I entered. I really would not repeat this visit if free
Dinner very nice, very good dishes from start to finish, very nice staff
Excellent brunch, from cold to hot, to sweet to salty. A varied selection, quite large, but little fish for example.
Save room for the selection of stone healed pastries which is the highlight of this brunch!
The terrace is pretty but not incredible either: it feels a bit cramped and it lacks greenery I would say.
The service is pretty good, but uneven (it took a long time to get attention to order).
Count all the same 90 .
Very big rooms compared to the rest of Paris. Very fancy.
For such a prestigious palace, serve a nespresso coffee for 10 , I say no !!!
Serving real specialty coffee from a barista would have been better.
It is really abused. Too bad, the setting is very pretty and the welcome warm.
Superb very relaxing place to go for a snack ... Work in peace ...
We absolutely love this hotel. It's not a hotel to us , .... it is our home away from home..... We will be returning each year hereafter. The front desk people took care of us like we were their family members.
Stayed November 2016, traveled as a couple
Exquisite, I loved my stay the best breakfast was excellent. Super comfortable rooms
The place is beautiful, the service is at the height of its reputation (and its prices)
Cool! Were in Plaza Attany, in George V and here! Comparable!
Visit the Clarins Spa, great place, nice service, very good Spa.
Top top top, a big thank you to the young girl who served us this afternoon, smiling, nice, really gracious
The terrace is just gorgeous, relaxing ...
Wonderful hotel
Attendance a bit too "among themselves"
This is the price that wants that ....
A magical place, for lunch or dinner on the terrace at the Italian restaurant il Carpaccio,
Or at the Japanese restaurant Matsuhisa without forgetting the Barlong for aperitif and tea time.
Our visit to Paris was absolutely enhanced by our exceptional experiences at Le Royal Monceau-Raffles Paris. We wanted to move into our Signature Suite, and never go home. The staff was friendly, professional and more than helpful. The concierge went above and beyond and helped us with reservation and museum tickets for each day we were there. We can't wait...
Excellent brunch. Product diversity and quality, hospitality and setting ...
Satisfied in 2016; Clearly less in 2018. At the price of brunch, ending up at 11 on a table set for 8 and having to complain about just eating without feeling like at the canteen is not eligible. As for the food: rather good, but past 13:00, it becomes very complicated to find what you want ... conclusion of this second visit: clearly disappointed.
Was there only for a business meeting, so can only judge the bottom. I give only 3 * because I was VERY surprised about the selection of drinks. I wanted a fresh peppermint tea with ginger and there is only normal tea out of the bag. That may seem petty but quite honest ... at a hotel that calls 1200 euros per night, I just expect "luxury". And fresh mint tea is not a special wish for me.
Matsuhisa s receptionists and bar hostesses are the only, yet big, flaw of this hotel. It would not only be good if they stopped pretending to be the owners of the hotel, but also spoke properly to guests.
I always come back because I love the cuisine of Nobu and the bar. However, my patience has its limits and if I write this review, the limit is near.
Beautiful hotel and special mention for the sublime bookstore!
Nice place nice table nice spa pity that the pool is not not open
trendy hotel, beautifull atmosphere big rooms for european standard's.
I loved.
Mrs. loved
PERFECT!
The staff do not even say hello to the entrance. At the bar no one came to ask us what we wanted to eat. The bellhop at the terrace door does not work. So constant draft or forced to go close the door is even as soon as someone enters or leaves (at the time for the convenience of the moment). No service on the terrace.
What would be inconsequential in another place degrades the image of a place that claims to be "palace".
Luxury hotel often used by Japanese Embassy in France. Safe and secure.
I left Japan one day earlier due to the typhoon. Therefore, we decided to stay at this hotel that was not planned. There was a feeling of cleanliness, and the service of the staff was good.
An exceptional place! The service is impeccable and the food is amazing.
Matsu Hisa is a fabulous Japanese restaurant. The Royal Monceau terrace is a safe bet!
Really an establishment of rare beauty a service to the care of a dream kitchen valets a kindness a dream
It's expensive but it's good! Saturday brunch is well stocked and quality. On the other hand it is not given (89 ). For this price, we expect a faultless so what a disappointment when we see the water glasses that More
Very nice hotel with qualified staff and great kindness
I could not get a table for breakfast, as the restaurant was full with non-gresident business guests, using venue for the meetings.I think its unacceptable, hotel guest always first
What can I say except that I am outraged? I had lunch in this hotel and I entrusted my vehicle to the valet. My vehicle was opened and important documents and objects were stolen from my car while under the "surveillance" of the hotel.
They later handled this story in the most pitiful way possible, even making me pay for the drinks that were supposed to be offered while my wife was waiting on the spot and I was going to the police station. It sounded like a joke, the security officer invites us to file a complaint and confirms that he has called the police station waiting for us. Once on site I note that the police station is closed for filing complaints ....!
I think that institutions of this order should at least have a management of these exemplary concerns. But it is clear that we can not trust this institution, or even think that the chain of events is more than doubtful.
In short, if you want to be stolen, go here you will be well received .......!
For a brunch, this is undoubtedly a very good address and the buffet is more than generous! Quite frankly there are almost nothing but compliments to do except the room which is really too noisy to have a really nice time ...
The HISTORY of ..... Le ROYAL MONCEAU - RAFFLES PARIS Hotel FRIENDSHIP and good FLAVOR is the ESSENCE of Pleasure and Source of the good MOMENTS that always endures in the TIME Merci marcel
Belvedere pop up cocktail event. So beautiful. Very fun. Food was over the top and so much better than expected. Love love love it!!!!!!! Service in bar night before was a little slow. The manager was a treat and was the epitome of service and humble.
The one-room suites are lovely with mirrors everywhere, a comfortable bed, a huge bath and completely separated bidet room - the fully automatic version. We were struck by how housekeeping noticed patterns and responded - they figured out which items we used a lot and supplied extras without any need to call them. The skincare line that was provided as part of the toiletries was Clarins. The location is very close to L Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysee and Parc Monceau. It s also near the 17th arrondissement which is nice for a roam through parts of Paris which don t have major tourist attractions. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return again.
Kind Regards, @JasonMatthieu (Instagram & Twitter)
