If your keen to visit Noumea, Le Meridian is the ideal place to make your "home base" for the duration of your stay. It's beach front location makes it an ideal spot for snorkeling ( snorkeling gear is free if you are a hotel guest) , visiting Duck and Maister island and enjoying amazing sundowners. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are fantastic and cleaned properly every day. The beds are comfortable. There is a coffee machine but you only get coffee pods on the first day. After that, you have to pay...and boy oh boy do you pay. If you think Sydney is expensive wait until you pay $8 for really bad coffee. BUT, it is not just Let Meridian that serves bad coffee....it is something you find everywhere in New Caledonia. Still worth the visit though. As. Family, we loved our stay at Least Meridian. If you go, visit Maister island. You will definately see turtle's and sharks if your lucky.
Clean , professional and chic with excellent communication even for non french speakers . Wide range of facilities and many activities nearby. Concierge service is capable and efficient
Very nice hotel. The rooms are superb. The service is impeccable. Small flat, parking can be full and shots must be parked on the side of the road.
Excellent location, beautiful beach, really nice staff.
You're gonna love it. Go out to breakfast in the morning. When you can't, get your free cappuccino from the bar
The good thing about this hotel is that you can relax along the beach from morning to sunset.
Stunning views, great staff and a short stroll from the beach. Simply great.
Breakfast with friends one morning, the setting is still beautiful staff of the charming restaurant, the buffet is very very varied.
but! because there is a but, the general cleanliness of the hotel is not worthy of a 4 stars and even less than a 5, the chairs at the entrance are dirty and stained, the windows full of traces of fingers, the broom not passed, the fountain down no longer works, everything is neglected, luckily when we go back we come across a little gem of galery "andemic art gallery" that manages to make us forget the general negligence, thank you to the charming Gentleman who holds this galery where we find objects of art very beautiful! with such a spot Le Meridien can do so much better!
Massage with Djenna at the top! Welcome, contact, installation, atmosphere, massage, professionalism and sympathy! Thank you !
I used the bar and the exteriors of Le Meridien to work. the setting is really beautiful, but it is felt on the price of drinks!
Beautiful sandy beach. Ideal with children.
Possible rental of sunbeds and therefore with swimming pool access Le Meridien.
During my entire stay (3 nights), I never had access to WiFi in the room. The first day, I was told that a technician would go, technician that I have never seen. The 2nd day, I was told that I will only have to report it on the satisfaction questionnaire. Amazing as answer !!!! This is what I call "the foutage of g .... e"
When I arrived, there was an empty water bottle under the couch on the terrace. 3 days later, she was still there! Also note the plaster dust in the corner of the room.
Pa butter on the plate of the first breakfast in your room.
In conclusion, shameful for a hotel saying itself 5 stars. To discourage
We only took advantage of the Hyppocampe restaurant. Very good restaurant good service
Ok hotel, had a suite which was really lovely with reasonable ocean views. Main issue which seems to be a New Caledonia thing is that you pay a lot more for stuff you really don't think you should be paying as much for.
The staff of the restaurant and our waitress Doriane very well ... The behavior of the customers concerning the buffet "evening fruits this sea" leave to be desired .... one comes to taste, one pays a formula of a certain price all this for try to serve with dishes ... some empty? We do not know what he was proposing.
Thanks to the staff who could serve us a plate. They were sorry for us.
Too bad to see a clientele with so little civility.
The setting very beautiful and pleasant.
Excellent hotel. Nice, big, comfortable rooms. Nice pool. Great Beach and good location in the city.
Beautiful beach front hotel. Happy helpful staff that speak decent english and not easily offended of my terrible french!
Difficult to give an objective opinion because I find myself here in fourteen locked up 23h / 24, in a magnificent spacious room equipped with a shower and a bathtub.
The services that can be offered by this hotel are luxurious. The view of the ocean, the swimming pool and the wooded park contribute to this standing.
A nice beachfront resort hotel, we came in early November before the holiday season, was not crowded at all. The refurbishments have brought the hotel back up to date. The restaurants were very absurdly expensive in my opinion, especially when you could go to one of many places on the next bay for better value and variety. Facilities were good, free bike hire and watersports equipment was great. Would come back again for a quiet relaxing break.
The hotel was very good. Negative: Since the hotel is remote, you have to rely on the restaurants. If there is only one open, with only a very expensive fish menu on offer, you will be disappointed.
Superb hotel with everything you need, but staff not very attentive to customers is anarchy. Tennis teacher who breaks our ears learning to play piano in the lounge bar. Impossible to stop for several days despite our complaints to the staff.
Room not made. Buffet out of taken for a very poor quality except that of the New Year very well organized and up to the asking price.
I came to see a drink at night on the terrace really was a good setting. I came back to eat for lunch facing the sea and it was extraordinary that it was the view as well as the dish.
This is a great hotel with a wide range of free activities included
Superb hotel, wonderful gardens, the beach at the foot of the rooms and the show kitesurfing extra.
Gargantuan brunch. Designer and large rooms. Magnificent view.
The sea view from the veranda is very beautiful and impressive. Especially, it was very good that the sun was lit by the sea. The pool is also adjacent to the beach and you can enjoy both leisurely and spend time leisurely. It is good to take a walk in the hotel. The rooms and the lobby are also very stylish. Also, the spa is beautiful and you can relax in the Jacuzzi. The staff response was also very good.
Fantastic location. great service but a lot of imperfection in compare with other Bonvoy group members... stain on curtains.. stains on linens.torn towels..definitely room for improvement to play in a higher league ( like westin in Bali, Westin Langkawi etc. )
We stay at Le Meridien Noumea from 08/6 till 13/6.
The hotel 5 star is really stunning, great location and very close to the essential.
Food sublime and very well presented.
The only issue that we found was with Fedric from the reception. We booked through him a day to isle of pines on the day we arrived for our last day trip and he didn t make our booking without inform us with relative problematic. Special thanks to the manager and his lady assistant for help us to fix this problem and to resolve this issue.
Definitely we will back very soon.
I can t wait to book again for our next trip in October.
Merci
There is a feeling that it is a five star star hotel. The spa was good too. Personally, one less star is cleaning the room. I was surprised that there were individual differences. I want the minimum line to be aligned.
A little away from town, but there is a resort! Resort hotel by the sea!
The hotel area itself is very nice, great garden and pool, very spacious and nicely decorated. Great sunset on the beach. Unfortunately, the service is not the level of a 5 star hotel. The staff is moderately friendly, room was not made a day after we had attached a private sign outside in the morning until 11:00 because room service had arrived at 8:30 the day before. Coffee and water as well as mini bar were not refilled, had to go in the morning even on the search for coffee. Several attempts to visit the concierge for tips for trips or tours to get to no avail, is sparse or during lunch break. Excursions or program manageable, one also not really appealing sold. Reception similarly thin occupied. Clientele in the hotel are mainly Japanese, is probably in every Japanese travel catalog, every day a Japanese wedding. The beach is sold to a much larger than in reality, very stony in the water and very narrow beach. Also not made, lots of seaweed / kelp on the beach, for a 5 star hotel they could at least make the beach a bit nice and clean. Pool is very cold as often very windy, Kaiter beach right next door, for the wind is great, for the pool was not. Location is a bit off the beaten path, next supermarket is about 30 minutes on foot, there are at least bicycles to borrow for free. Access is also expensive, you have to organize a shuttle from the airport, about 60 for three and 50 minutes drive. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so I can not comment on that. Beach restaurant very expensive as everything in New Caledonia. The prices here are salted, but the quality / service is not right. It was a nice experience but for the money we would go somewhere else next time. France Feeling, Cote`Azur we also missed in Numea, we imagined differently. In addition, very strange rules for the sale of wine or beer, after 12:00 clock they hang a chain in front of the shelf in the supermarket of Frei- Sunday, here is celebrated only in the morning ... very strange. Wine and beer are also four times as expensive as in Europe.
Great hotel. Just a bit of a walk out of town.
On arrival I have to say that Jimmy was really on the ball and checked in 3 couples then us - while Laurant was still on the first couple.
The next day Jimmy remembered our names from the quick handover of keys the night before. He really is a great asset to the hotel.
Dined at the buffet dinner at Le Sextant. Service and food were amazing. The price of aud$100 a head was perhaps fine if you were eating all that seafood. There was a LOT of it. Deserts were great.
Rooms are spacious and modern.
Pool allows smoking inside the pool area which was disappointing.
The lattitude lounge has a great view, comfy seating and good coffee (free vouchers for two coffees per room per day in your room).
A solid hotel with great food and service.
Beautiful rooms, very friendly staff, and great onsite restaurants. Highly recommended.
quiet. well placed for rest and relaxation.good naturalwalks and swimming
For the amount of money this hotel charges, I thought it would be better...
Room Service didn't take our order and after ringing reception 5 times she finally took our order and passed it on....75 mins later the meal arrived and it was cold.
The fan rattled in the room...
The light globe in the lamp started to smoke in the room and we had to pull it out fearing that it would catch on fire....
Our room wasn't ready on arrival and we waited an hour before it was, from which housekeeping didn't leave any towels.
Housekeeping would then service the room 3 times during the day in which we only needed our bed made once....
The telephone didn't work....
Whilst I'm happy to accept these minor problems, I'm not when I'm paying $500 a night....would have been better off sleeping on the beach with a blanket and being woken up by a bum.....
Excellent location and the staff are absolutely amazing. We travelled with a toddler and they were happy to accommodate any requirement without fuss.
The buffet breakfast is very good however the food options available at the 3 restaurants are not up to scratch. They are also very very expensive. Give the resort places a miss and head into town.
The pool and bar are fantastic and it is a spectacular setting to sit and watch the sun set.
The rooms are large and clean. We had a garden view room with a balcony and it was great to sit and read in the comfy chairs.
Would be happy to return however hesitant to give 5 stars due to the poor restaurants.
amazing place, staff spoke English and were very helpful, the restaurant's were excellent, I hope to visit again soon.
Excellent service from engaging, friendly staff, combined with the perfect location to enjoy everything New Caledonia has to offer. Le Meridien is the hotel to stay at while visiting Noumea.
Not 5 Star. Very expensive in a beautiful area. Staff need a lot of work to bring it up to scratch.
this place is heavenly the staff very friendly.
The awesome restaurant
The extra breakfast.
Thank you Audrey at the reception for
his advices .

The only 5-star hotel in the Noumea area. As is expected, we do not feel much dissatisfaction with hotel itself in Marriott series. Breakfast is free for all members if you are a Platinum member of Marriott or higher. There were many pool chairs, so there was no problem even if the room was full. The hotel's beach is very small, but it continues to the beach of the neighboring Chateau Royale and beyond. It is a bit disappointing that there is a step between the wooden deck and the sandy beach.
The hotel itself is quite old though it has just been renovated. In addition, it is full of resort feeling, but if traveling on remote islands such as Ouvea and Ile Des Pin, other convenient hotels may be better. Inconvenient to go everywhere because the place is the most out of place. The shopping area and restaurants around the Hilton Hotel are a 10-minute walk away. There is no Japanese staff at present, but there is one staff who can speak Japanese.
Unfortunately, it was okay until 4 pm to ask for a late check-out on arrival, but at 12:00 the staff came to urge me to leave the room early. The card key has also become unusable. These areas are still New Caledonia, so you won't be able to tell them at all unless you check them over and over. I was sorry that I made a reservation for 2 rooms but did not become a room next to each other. It would have been nice to have a connecting room between neighbors.
We had a great room overlooking the ocean and the views were magnificent! Staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints about service at all.
In terms of facilities, the resort pool closed at 6pm (they start packing up at 5pm) which I felt was way too early. A 24-hr pool would be more ideal for holiday-goers.
The only downside in my opinion were the exorbitant prices! Everything was ridiculously expensive!!! From dinner to a simple mocktail, everything was just overpriced. Plus additional taxes and surcharges were added on. That was very disappointing and anxiety provoking! Otherwise, if money isn t an issue, then it s a fantastic place.
5* all the way! Beautiful hotel, in a stunning location. Rooms are modern and well decorated, the hotel grounds and beach location are stunning. I would highly recommend staying.
An excellent 5 star resort to the south of the main town of Noumea, Great room, pool and restaurants. great buffet breakfasts. there is a bar right on the beach where you can watch the sun setting into the ocean while watching the kite surfers! About 15 drive from the town center, however you can catch the local buses.
Excellent experience to celebrate a birthday. Reception at the top. Thank you for the surprise in superior room. Thanks for the lightning. A slaughter much appreciated against the lagoon. Impeccable room no false note
It's been years that I go with my husband the staff is great it is a high-end property for New Caledonia there is the room service dining room I love the evening stops before 1am in the morning I think. I love all their dishes everytime I take a salmon carpaccio I love all the standing the chic side both local it's a really great hotel Thank you
Great customer service . The ladies at the concierge desk are really dedicated to their work. They did a fabulous job even with all the last minute bookings
The high price of New Caledonia is a misunderstanding for not knowing European culture. In Europe, restaurants, etc., which are serviced by people, are much higher than in Japan.
The prices for a typical casual restaurant and this authentic restaurant do not change much. You can eat a full-fledged meal for less than 10,000 yen. The taste is also good. The middle of the shop is hollow and you can see the sea from there and feed natural fish.
Give me a piece of bread to feed. The atmosphere was also good.
Very good position and services. The structure needs some modernisation
All staff are incredibly friendly. The view is beautiful. The breakfast buffet has a decent variety of foods but is only slightly altered every day. The fruit is to die for though. We got a garden view and the room is abit small but still good. They supply most things other hotels would except slippers.
A good resort that's standard in it's facilities. Not overly expensive and service is fine. It has direct access to the beach which is a plus!
Old and dated. Our toilet lid is broken. Not fixed room not cleaned
Pathetic. One bottle of water, not even 500 MLS per ROOM. Not person.
A place exotic, exotic, relaxing and very clean.the extraordinary piscjne, an inprenable life, an exclusive melanesian tribal design this resort is a marvel
Excellent location! Popular resort hotel. We couldn't stay this time, but we used the SPA facility "DEEP NATURE" in the hotel as a guest. There are indoor and outdoor baths, two types of saunas, etc., so you can stop by before returning flight and refresh yourself! Especially the outdoor jacuzzi bath while looking at the sea is the best. The mood is perfect for a couple. The fee is 3,000 CFP per person. There should be options such as massage set and gym use, so consult the staff according to your purpose.
Room facilities good. Understaffed and inconsistency in service. Food quality very poor for price paid (very over priced). Restaurants and bars close at odd times. Room cleaning was ok but did not restock essentials enough (like shower caps etc). Gym was fairly ok. Pool nice and beachfront sunset great. Mainly staff need lots of training and food (at all restaurants and breakfast) needs massive improvement (quality and variety). Wouldn t stay here again.
Definitely worth the5 star rating. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting.
The accomodation is quite good but very let down by the very poor F&B service.
At the poolside bar it is next to impossible to order a drink as the understaffed bar tenders do anything to avoid eye contact.
At the high end restaurant I was left pouring wine for the table all night and had to chase up paying a bill.
Also breakfast is hit and miss as to whether any food is left when you arrive.
While these may seem like small gripes, the cost of both the accomodation and even more so the food and drinks are extremely high (over $15AUD for a pint of cheap beer) which requires the service to be exemplary.
I will try alternative accomodation if I return to New Caledonia.
Top resort. Lovely toiletries. Great breakfast. Fantastic amenities
Lovely hotel with all the facilities one would expect in this region, but the service lacks some enthusiasm.
Absolutely loved this place, staff were so friendly and rooms were beautiful. Will be back for sure! This is by far the best hotel on the main Island. Very close to a lot of restaurants, some pricey some not so much. We brought our 1 year old daughter with us and she absolutely loved it. The staff down at the breakfast buffet were exceptional. They were so kind and loving and Chloe looked forward to seeing them every morning. Thank you.
- Cheese evening 2019: really bad ... 8900frcs / pers EXCLUDING TAXES and impossible to use his cheese, the chef makes the choice and we must follow what he proposes.
Recommend. Restaurants for every taste, spa, galleries, swimming pool, great staff, a beautiful park.
