Great place to take kids. Toddlers to teens will like this place. Lots of different things to do and see. The cafe is kind of weak, but you can bring your own food and eat outside overlooking Oakland and into San Francisco.

As a former student at Whittier school our family ...

As a former student at Whittier school our family regularly visited Berkeley Lab after a swim at Strawberry Canyon to check out the moon rocks and other exhibits in the late 60's. Would play with the Apollo module lander and rocket at my school friends apartment who happened to be Indian. (Gagan Satee) We were always excited to visit the Lawrence National Lab as children, thanks for the memories. A wonderful place.
