My parents have lived at Laurel Lake since 2014. Its a beautiful place, nice big campus. I've been impressed how active the residents are. Staff really go above and beyond. Definitely worth considering.
Beautiful place, and by far the nicest looking nursing home I've ever been to. Too bad that the management sucks and security is a joke. Not nearly enough employees to accommodate all the residents. The place is also haunted. Take it from someone who used to work there!
I have worked at Laurel Lake for 25 years. Friendly, caring residents and hardworking, dedicated staff. Especially during these challenging times I have been impressed with the teamwork between residents and staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this community to anyone.
It used to be very nice. It has definitely gone down hill in the last few years. A fantastic pool but no lifeguards. Food is served cafeteria style where they used to have servers. Horrible management. Prices consistently go up while services go down.
100% don t recommend working here it s very beautiful and nice but it s stops there between the rudeness and just the over all way they treat staff is horrible

I work there for two weeks Some lady they got working for them I guess she do the checks I go up there to pick my check up which I gave them my info for direct deposit on July 27 ,2021 so I don t understand why it wasn t deposited in my account in the first place so I get to Walmart they can t cash it then I go to citizen bank where the check through still can t cash it so I call them so they calling the lady that do the check she off today so they call me to come get another check after the crack head looking lady arguing with me about the check not cashing so they give me another check that gets declined so remind you it s Friday the holiday Monday so I have to wait to Tuesday to go back up there she did it on purpose not a place to work cause you gone get played with your money
My grandparents moved to Laurel Lake in 1994. Over the years, they progressed from independent living in a community where they made many new friends and became involved in new activities, to assisted living, to now my grandmother lives in Crown Center in full-time care. In all my visits there, I've been impressed by the facilities, the warmth and friendliness of the staff, and the way that management has reinvested in the property and facilities over time. These other reviews are clearly written by people who are former employees who have a grudge against them - if you're looking for a place for yourself or for a family member who needs care, you couldn't ask for much more.
As someone who has worked in nursing homes for over 20 years, Laurel Lake is a great place to live and work. It has awesome perks for employees too. Free gym membership, Christmas bonus, on-site restaurant staff can order from, free pool and fitness access, great tuition reimbursement, hardship loans for staff, 5 star staffing with low resident to staff ratio... the list goes on and on.
I worked for this facility through agency, which is a very nice place. However, I was put on DNR list because of false accusations. Their scheduler is unorganized. I was told and as well over heard people that work for the facility say that the scheduler put them on days that they are not supposed to be on just so the schedule looks presentable. That come out of nurses and aid mouths. If you re an agency worker make sure if they move you to change your name as well because it someone else leaves an assignment messed up they will blame you.
