Great beer, service, and atmosphere. It was also very clean here, something that most people don't talk about.

I was a little disappointed in the food. The flavors weren't 100% there. Something was simply off about the lobster roll. The beers and beer selection are great though!

I love this brewery and taproom. There are a wide variety of beers they make and they will give you a taster if you aren't sure and want to try before ordering a pint. They also sell Growlers to go which are 32oz Cans. My go-to is the 3rd Street Pale Ale. Extra star for their involvement in the community, Bayview needs businesses like this.

Laughing Monk has been a good brewery. But over the last 6 months their quality has gone from strength to strength. They are now producing world class hoppy beer. At the very top of the game. Beers are ALMOST as good as Verdant. This is high praise indeed. Laughing Monk please continue to do what you're doing. At the time of review, Sister Lucy and Master Bruce are, to my palette, the best you have produced thus far. Bravo.

Love a good neighborhood spot! Turn down the right street, and you ll find yourself amongst a super interesting stretch of Bayview. Who knew?!

Welp, Laughing Monk is right next door to Seven Stills. Andddd we started with Laughing Monk. Loving the chill vibes and the awesomely large seating area. For a Saturday midday, it was pretty empty. But fun times nonetheless. Apparently they get busier at night.

I will say that I m a bit disappointed in the staff. I was pretty excited about finding this brewery, having grown up in the neighborhood, and finally moving back. And honestly, I thought the staff would be more engaged is detailing the various options, and best choices for the flight of 5. When I explained it was my first time here, all I got was we re out of XX today . Uhhh, okay.

It d be a 5-star experience if the staff was more lively...or plain helpful! For now, 4-stars.

Great mellow brewery with their own beers on tap. Light, cheerful atmosphere with giant murals. Food options catered by local restaurants (BBQ, nachos, pretzals, popcorn, baked goods). Can't wait to try new upcoming releases!

Went for the festivities last weekend, well food was huge let down! Lobster roll very bad, food overall was not good. It's not hard to do a small BBQ. If it were 20-25$ ok, but 45$ each, wow way out of line. Love micro breweries, will continue to go but will pass on this one.

My wife and I visited this brewery on our last visit to San Francisco in April 2017. We didn t know what to expect but were surprised when the taxi dropped us outside an industrial unit. Nevertheless we found the chaps behind the bar to be very friendly, and we sampled all of the beers available on the day. I recall we enjoyed our time there very much. Having been to the open air Anchor Steam bar outside the baseball stadium previously, their beer was our benchmark, so five stars.

Cool joint with a fair amount of seating. The counter looking outside is pretty cool. They also have a selection of games that you can borrow and play, which I love in a brewery. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The beer was good, I tried several options and ended up with a glass of a nice "Golden Strong", which was pretty distinctive in flavor. Pricing was fair as well.

Small but cozy craft brewery in the Bayview district of SF. Many Belgian-inspired beers, with plenty of classic American styles too. They don't have much in terms of food, but there's usually a food truck parked right outside. It's next to Seven Stills distillery, so you can walk back and forth between them and have a dangerously good time sampling beers and whiskies. Be sure to have a designated driver!!!

Some of the most delicious beer I've ever had. In fact, I've still never found a better Hazy IPA than what I had at Laughing Monk. The atmosphere is great and the crew is also a treat to hang out with. All of them are very down to earth and super knowledgeable about beer!

This place was so cool! And I actually enjoyed their beer (not something I can say of the many other breweries in the city). They had karaoke on Friday night, and it's really fun to listen to, and gives the brewery an open, fun vibe! Even the bartender participated!

NOT the 7 stills brewery. Which is right next door. As I found out, when searching for this elusive monk. Although the 7S sign dominates the building from a moving vehicle, the laughing monk logo can be seen in the corner.
The Laughing Monk(TLM) is smaller than its neighnor, but more finely appointed. Warm paint and original artwork adorn the walls. The huge, ceiling hung heatlamps get an A+!!!
Beer is tasty. Vibe is comfortable.
